The third time is the charm as they say, one more testimony for the hard workers in the salon. I have seldom see them take breaks and even struggle to make some time to grab a quick bite to eat… its the dedication and sincere effort toward providing a five-​star service! I had the opportunity to work with Shazia this time around whose been consistently progressing in her hair removal skills. I also appreciated the genuine facial which was certainly relaxing during and rewarding later. Thank you!

I’ve gone here twice already. The first time I had my eyebrows threaded. I wasn’t too thrilled with that because I noticed my hair was growing back faster than normal, which really means that the threading was just cutting my hair instead of pulling it. I recently went again for a full face wax. The main reason I came back was because it was only $ 30 compared to $ 40+ in other salons. I was not the biggest fan of the woman who did both my eyebrows and the wax. She works so slow that the threading hurts more than it should. With the wax, she didn’t pull my skin taut to help with the pain. My skin is very sensitive, so it would have helped if she would have done certain things to prevent the wax from hurting. I’ve done wax enough times to know that the way she does it is not helping at all.
Only reason to go back is to save money, but I will not be going back as often. I can thread my own eyebrows, so I won’t go back unless it’s absolutely necessary.

Well the only person i trusted here was Nikki who was gentle and friendly. I walked in one day and they told me nikki moved… some long dramatic story… well that’s weird, she’s still on facebook in chicago. And looks pretty happy…
that to me is so unbelievably unprofessional. is it difficult to just say «she’s no longer here».
well the newer ladies, suck. thanks for all the cuts on my face and the lack of sympathy.
nikki was really the sole reason i came here consistently. And then i learn that they ask customers to actually give them a better review?! yikes, is that necessary?
i wont be back… this place is too cramped, too busy and not that great of service for me.

The usual lady I go to was busy with waxing so I decided to go to this new lady that i have not seen before since I come monthly, but obviously going to her was a bad idea because a chunk of my brow was missing… She was very rough also because her fingers were basically stabbing my eye as she threads my other eye’s eyebrow.

I will never come to this place again moving forward. I generally just come here when I’m not able to see my regular threading technician. Today I had the worst experience ever. I came in to thread my upper and lower lip as I usually do. However, one of the ladies here was so rough with my when she was doing this that I left with cuts in both sides of my mouth and she didn’t even apologize or say anything to me. Are you kidding me?! You clearly saw that I was bleeding and didn’t even acknowledge it when I was checking out. I could tell that she was being rough because while I was sitting there the string kept getting caught on different parts of my face. I’d recommend telling them to take it easy and slow if not they might just rush to get you out of there and hurt you in the process.

Best salon in town :))))) Lubna is the best. Muahhh. Your work is flawless and you are quality conscious. You meet my requirements and I am 100% satisfied and happy when I get my brows done by you. Complete staff is excellent and dedicated… I will never leave this salon until I leave chicago… I have been referred by my friend and I am thankful to her. She was absolutely correct… Even I am going to refer all my friends to you…

Crew here understands what you need. I have experienced almost every lady working here. And I’ve never been disappointed. They probably know better for you than you do. Always courteous and welcoming.
I would avoid Friday and Saturdays. They’re busy. Extremely busy.
Every Monday or Tuesday that I’ve visited-​has been quick 10 minute in and out.

My cousin introduced me to The Threading Salon. I’ve been going for years now. Lubna does a stellar job. She takes great care in making sure you are satisfied as a client. I always leave pleased! I highly recommend the threading salon. As long as I live in Chicago I’ll be a repeat customer/​client.

This is a great place. Totally affordable and all the girls are so thorough and amazing. Definitely will be coming back!

I can’t recommend this place because Nikki isn’t there anymore. I have been serviced by other people there and when i was threaded, i was once left with my eyebrows that had many cuts on them and took over a week to heal. i also got waxed by someone else here once, and they weren’t friendly and didn’t do a thorough job.

Luna is awesome… Tames and arches my brows quickly… and perfectly each time. Also does bikini wax. Superb job. Excellent prices great services… despite the crowd they are quick, efficient, and worth the wait.

I’ve been here twice now and will keep coming back. They are busy, so you will likely have to wait; but they are also efficient, so you probably won’t wait long. Great work and great price.

After reading some of the reviews, I’m glad I give it a try! I got here as soon as they open on a Monday, and people were already waiting for service. The lady who did my eyebrows did an amazing job, she was really nice too. Parking is a pain, if you driving try to be here early, otherwise good luck finding parking.

Great job! I asked «What is better, wax or threading?» She told me threading because it is cheaper and it doesn’t pull on your skin as much. I think it is great that she recommended the cheaper option when she really could’ve told me anything. In addition to that, my eyebrows look better than they have in years! Thank you!

So terrified for my first bikini wax, did my research and the reviews are so right! Nikki is simply the best! How many people can say they hardly felt their waxing? Because I barely noticed it. Plus Nikki is super professional and treats you like a longtime VIP client even when it’s your first time.
I would recommend making an appointment because, like other reviews say, it’s a super popular place and there are lines even at noon on a Wednesday.
Definitely highly recommend!

Always a long line but they work quickly. Come early and expect to wait. Trust me it will be worth the wait.

I had a great experience here when I came in on this past friday. The place was busy, and there were five people ahead of me. The wait wasn’t too bad, because within 20 to 25 minutes it was my turn.
The threading for eyebrows only cost seven dollars which is cheap for Chicago. When I did my research, it seems that most places charge ten dollars and the cost can go up to 25 dollars at some salons.
Anyway, It was my first time visiting this place in a long time, but I gave the eyebrow lady my usual specific instructions. At most place I have been to, I feel like the eyebrows lady doesn’t follow my instructions. The end result is never what I ordered. A lot of the times I end up with eyebrows that are too thin, arched, or my skin has cuts, or I am missing hair.
But this was not the case here! The lady here did an amazing job with my eyebrows! She gave me exactly what I wanted! I was so happy with the result. She also completed the eyebrow within about five minutes!
I recommend this place for threading! Totally worth it!

I love the ladies here. I used to get my eyebrows threaded by Nikki. One day Nikki wasn’t in and I had the choice of coming back another day or letting another lady take over my brows. I was hesitant but I decided to try it out. Since then I learned that all of the three ladies are great at what they do. They are all detail oriented and very caring. The lines get ridiculous here at times but It’s. So. Worth. It.

Really disappointed… I usually go to the burbs to get my threading done but I was in a pinch so tried this place. I’ve been before and it was okay which is the only reason I didn’t give them 1 star.
After a 35 minute wait, I had my turn. This was the MOST PAINFUL threading I’ve ever experienced (and I’ve been threading since I was 14). The lady cut my lip so bad and when I told her, she justified it saying she had to get close to my skin. After I showed her the bleeding Kleenex and she denied that it was still bleeding. Really?!? I didn’t even get an apology…
I can understand a few small cuts because I know it happens with threading but this is really bad. I can say I won’t be going back.

I don’t trust the threading places in DSM (if there are any) so I decided to take a quick 10 min stop during my trip in Chicago to get my eyebrows threaded. They were getting too bushy!
The place seemed pretty clean and there were about 2 people waiting ahead of me. I still got in and out in like 15 minutes though. The ladies were pretty chill. Cost me $ 7 + tip. I’d come again!
