Horrendous customer service with a shitty attitude. The girl with the multiple piercings and multi-​colored hair was too busy texting to be interrupted to sell me some grossly overpriced stamps. Screw this place!

I’ve been in here three times — once their printer was broken, once their scanner was broken, and the third time I was able to get what I needed done. 1 for 3 for basic services is not a good percentage.

Great to have a store where you can buy postage, drop off UPS and USPS packages, and buy shipping materials without making multiple stops.

I love this store and have used them so many times! I used to order online items and have them shipped it here. The moment I walk in, I am greeted with a bright smile and a warm hello. They know who I am and they give me package right away.

Rude and uninterested customer service. Will NOT be back. Nickels and dimes you — charged me $ 1 for a strip of packing tape. Gave attitude when I naively asked if he also ships FedEx.

TL: DR — Piece of artwork destroyed, UPS Store and UPS corporate finger point, cite policy and refuse any refund.
Let me start with the positive: everyone in this store was cordial and polite throughout my experience. Unfortunately, that can’t make up for the experience I had with UPS Store protocol. More than anything, let this serve as a cautionary tale so that no one else gets into the bureaucratic nightmare that is their damage/​insurance policies. I sold a piece of collectible artwork on ebay, securely packed it in a double walled tube and shipped it from the store. I asked at the time of purchasing postage to make sure the insurance would cover anything that might happen in transit. I was told it was covered, not to worry, and that if anything happens, the store will handle the refund process following with UPS corporate. Fast forward, tube arrived at my buyer’s home looking like someone lit dynamite inside it. That’s no one’s fault at the UPS Store, obviously, but then when I circle back to the store, I’m immediately met with a response of «Oh, a shipping tube? Well, just so you know, unless we pack it here, shipping tubes normally aren’t covered by our damaged goods policies because the regulation is 2″ of coverage on all sides of the item». That would have been great to know when I first asked. I still submit a claim and was notified the tube would be shipped back and inspected at the store by a UPS representative. I found out later that it was shipped back with the outer tube completely gone, inner tube crushed, both end caps missing and the paper & print hanging out. So, as you might have guessed, they deemed my packing insufficient for coverage, declined to pay the $ 180 value of the destroyed print and declined to refund the shipping cost. Nothing to appeal, no recourse. Both the store and corporate said I needed to speak to the other party. That «we’ll handle it for you» policy sounded so nice initially, but ended up being the conversation-​ender for the store when they said they’d done everything they could, and the policy was the reason UPS corporate said they couldn’t talk to me directly about it. Needless to say, USPS has become my preferred courier for anything of value.

This particular facility has been under new ownership for a little over 2 years now, and has made a dramatic improvement in both customer relations and services. The previous operation had an employee that was surely the reason for any less than positive reviews in the past. (In fact, that very employee had prompted me to write a personal letter the the past owner to advise him of the verbal abuse I had witnessed with both other customers and myself)
I rented a mailbox here for 2 years, and have nothing but great experiences. Both the co-​owner Lee, and and their employee Dylan are extremely professional and helpful. Even though I no longer need a mailbox for my business, I continue to patronize this establishment for shipping, etc. There is another UPS shop much closer to my neighborhood, but I come here for the awesome service and great vibe.

These guys are amazing. I have a UPS box at this location and the employees know who I am when entering and usually have any packages at the counter before bringing them the slip. The entire experience has been awesome, they are extremely helpful in all aspects.

I am a beginner/​occasional eBay seller, so I’m not interested in setting up a shipping center at home. I came to this store based on Unilocal reviews and two phone calls I’d made to the store to get a packing estimate based on dimensions and weight of the item. Dylan (and maybe someone else) was professional, knowledgable and nice on both calls. So, even though I live in East Rogers Park, I hoofed it down to Lakeview to do business with them.
I wanted to ship this package with USPS because their price was much lower than UPS’s – by a lot. I was having a ton of eBay issues, on the store computer, trying to figure out how to adjust the label for the (larger due to packaging) size of package, but Dylan showed me the packaging he recommended and packed the item professionally while I called all the king’s horses and all the king’s men at eBay and Paypal. The store didn’t have access to detailed USPS pricing, but that’s a corporate issue.
In summary, these guys are great. They were also busy while I was there and nice to everyone who came in. I have a few other items to sell, and I’ll definitely come back here for the packing. It’s rare to find someone who really wants to help, and who does a great job.

This UPS Store is by far the best UPS Store I’ve ever visited. It’s my old neighborhood UPS Store for the last 5 years in Chicago. The staff members, especially Dylan and another young guy with dark curly hair and glasses, are always friendly, polite, helpful and quick. They all know me by first name. Whenever I walked in, they knew I had a package for pickup.
I think the store and the staff deserve more than 5 stars!

Only reason why I gave them two stars is because customer service wasn’t bad. The prices, however, are horrendous. All I wanted to ship was a magazine and a few pieces of paper: $ 15. Seriously? I asked the clerk to explain why something so light could cost so much and although he was polite, his explanation did not make sense, so I took my business elsewhere. I went down the street to Postal Place and was only charged $ 8. I don’t understand how a reputable company like UPS could condone certain stores to jack up the prices so high.

I heart this UPS Store! Amazing customer service! They are always friendly and very efficient. I only use this location for all my shipping & mailing needs. I highly recommend this location!

WOW ok for my business i ship the exact same item out around 10 times a month out of the UPS deerfield store for $ 23.60 packaged and insured.
I was in area so stopped at UPS broadway store instead. The owner at broadway store packaged it in a ridiculously huge box at first trying to charge me more… inside I’m laughing then he says $ 74. I say no and he goes ok and puts it in a smaller box and says $ 40 he can do. I tell him deerfield store does it $ 23 and he legit says that guy must be an idiot old Asian guy right? and does not know how to make money or run a business LMAO so unprofessional. I walked out and shipped my package elsewhere for way less.
This guy is a greedy owner trying to rip people off and even admitted that he jacks up prices since he is «such a smart business owner»!!! My bets are this guy will be out of business before too long. Please shop around for prices avoid this scumbag and his overpriced ups store.
Btw they did let me bring my dog in. My dog peed in your store glad you guys didn’t notice the big puddle leading towards the door in a line. Hahaa have fun cleaning it up :)

If you need to mail something, this is where you need to go. The post office is far, and the people who work there are mindless drones. These people are friendly, and I have never had to wait in line! Their prices are pretty reasonable, too.
What are you waiting for? Go get a box large enough to fit yourself in it and mail yourself somewhere beautiful! I’m sure they’d be glad to help you out…

One-​stop shopping for your shipping needs. I’ve faxed some things a couple of times here — it may be $ 2 a page (free cover page, with they provide), but can’t beat the convenience. Also mailed my tax forms from here — saved me a trip to the much farther away post office. Friendly employees who take care of you quickly. There’s parking, and I honestly don’t know how the prices compare to other similar establishments. But since I don’t have a fax machine, this place was a life saver for me a couple of times during my job hunt.

Ive been to this UPS store many times. The service has always been great! Its a great neighborhood location for UPS making it easy to send and receive packages and get documents printed as well as copied.

These guys are ripping off customers left and right, giving UPS a bad name, and they’re horribly rude to top it all off. Today I e-​mailed their address (clearly posted on the UPS website) and asked to have 4 attached documents printed.
When I stopped in to pick up the print job, I was first told «we don’t usually open e-​mails.» Excuse me? Is this 2012?
The frowning older man who wouldn’t make eye contact with me then proceeded to CHARGE ME $ 3 PER FILE just to OPEN the documents. This does not include printing, mind you. I was charged $ 12 to open 4 files – that’s $ 3 per mouse click.
I was not previously informed of this fee, and when I complained, I was basically told «too bad.»
I have no clue whatsoever why I found it OK to fork over my credit card and pay a total of $ 20 to have a few black and white pages printed, but I did. I wish I would have left the paper on the counter and walked out.
This UPS store is a far, far cry from the friendly, reasonable one I usually go to in North Center, where they have never once charged me to open a file before printing it ???).
Sorry. My mind is completely blown. Next stop: UPS corporate customer service line.

I always visit this location because the staff is so helpful and always willing to go that extra mile. I frequently visit UPS to send packages for Christmas, birthdays, and other random occasions. I have been satisfied with my service and the efficiency. The only reason I don’t give 5 stars is because of the steep prices.
This location is also dog-​friendly, which automatically makes it even better. Without hesitation, the staff is bringing out dog treats and water for my furry friend. I will continue to visit this location because of the ease and splendid employees that I encounter at this UPS.

The customer service here in general is great… but it’ll cost ya. And I know these aren’t standard UPS prices, ya aren’t foolin’ me, Broadway UPS!
I generally come here because I’m an idiot and have yet to figure out that USPS prices are half of UPS, but I’m sloooowly catching on. And I order from Victoria’s Secret more often that I feed myself and they ship UPS with handy UPS return postage. To give perspective, I once tried to ship a 1.1 lb box to Florida, and this UPS would have charged me $ 28. Excuse me, $ 32 because they found out it was a residence. WTF does that matter? I took that same box to USPS and it was a little over two dollars. I mean that’s highway robbery.
As I have said before, I don’t own packing tape, nor will I throw down the six dollars to buy it, so I leave it to my shipping friends since they have that stuff on hand. Little did I know, this UPS actually charges you to put that stupid strip of tape over the top of the box! The nerve! It’s one dollar, but still. It’s the principal. You better believe I picked up jaw up off the weighing scale and scooped up my box and marched out into the rain. Of course I went to the UPS on Southport, where no such frivolous charge exists.
