Thrifty Tienda

I never really frequent the Super Mall of midway, however on a recent trip with a friend, I stumbled on this interesting thrift shop.
It seem they are the biggest shop in the mall, due to various department store-​like layout & eye catching knick-​knacks displayed all around.
Though I did not buy anything, I did speak with a friendly sales person who explained that they get new/​gently used items in every week, & for the most part they are open to discounting their prices.
Over all, this seems like a cool place to visit often, plus, they take debit/​credit cards, which I think is the only store that does in the mall.

It’s located inside the Super Mall, within a walking distance from the CTA Pulaski Orange Line station.
Once you get inside of the Super Mall, head all the way to the very back. Thrifty Tienda is a store formed by four (4) separate kiosks.
The store itself didn’t have much to offer. The setup almost resembled a yard sale in the neighborhood.
If you aren’t happening to be at the Super Mall, it wouldn’t be worth of your time and energy traveling all the way down to Archer Heights. I don’t consider this as a full-​sized thrift store, as Unique, Village Discount, or Salvation Army.

I called on a Dresser that I liked. I spoke with Grace over the phone. She was the most pleasant person I think I have ever spoken with. I was told the dresser was $ 400. I scheduled a time to come take a look at it and something came up and I couldn’t make it.
The following week, I spoke with Grace and she remembered me. She said «oh, yeah, is this Jay…» I was real impressed. I asked if she would take $ 300 for the dresser and she said. «actually we just lowered the price to $ 250».
I know a lot of people would have said «$ 300…Sure, you can buy it for $ 300.» But she was real honest in the price. I really appreciated that.
I got there and had the pleasure to meet Grace in person. Very helpful and showed me the dresser. I also got to meet Terry. I don’t say this often, but Terry is one of those guys that you meet and you just know he’s a kind hearted guy. He’s got your best interests at in mind, not his own. I brought my van to pickup the dresser and guess what… It wouldn’t fit.
So, what does Terry do? He says, «where do you live? I’ll drive it to you!»
I could not believe my ears, this guy was going to take a hour out of this day to drive this dresser back to my house for me. He certainly did. He would not accept any more money from me or for me to buy him lunch. Terry goes above an beyond for his clients.
I simply cannot wait to do business with them again! Thank you Terry and Grace for your amazing dedication towards customer service and business ethics. Being a business owner myself, I hope every transaction that we perform delivers the same experience that you have provided me. Bravo Terry and Grace, Bravo!
