The owner is nice, but, as many others have pointed out, she doesn’t know how to do nails AT ALL.
I walked in for a no-​chip manicure and she ushered me in, then mentioned that she had another client coming in soon who had made an appointment, and that she’d try to fit us both in. What ended up happening was that she rushed through my manicure, doing such a terrible job that I eventually just asked her to remove it rather than continue with what I knew would look terrible. Meanwhile, her other customer *who had an appointment* waited for 30+ minutes before walking out in frustration. I feel terrible to have kept her waiting (though it wasn’t really my fault), but honestly, she probably dodged a bullet by not enduring such a bad manicure.
Before I walked out, some highlights of the experience were:
–She cut my nails about ²⁄₃ of the way across and then RIPPED them off with her fingers! WTF?! And ouch!
–She made my cuticles bleed in 2 places
–She didn’t remove all of my old polish, so the new layer of polish appeared chunky – noticing this, she began scraping my wet, polished nail with her fingernail, then painted over it as though I wouldn’t notice. It looked as horrendous as it sounds.
The strangest part of the experience was that she seemed genuinely surprised when I asked her to just take it off – like «what ever could I have done wrong?» Don’t waste your time or money here.

Came in for a last minute group pedi. The women were so accommodating and welcoming. They even let us sample henna tattoos. Definitely a good drop in neighborhood spot for a low key, pleasant experience! Will come back for those spur the moment nail care needs!

«BEWARE» NICE LADY BUT NOT EXPERIENCED IN NAILS
After I left this establishment I had to go to Another nail shop and spend a total of $ 50 to get a full out Pedicure and No Chip where they had to correct the errors that had been made and clean up WHAT HAD NOT BEEN DONE (pretty much everything I PAID TOPLINER SALON TO DO, THAT THEY DID NOT PERFORM CORRECTLY”).
During the pedicure service Mubeena stayed on the phone the whole time.
I had to keep my jacket on the whole time cause it was ridiculously cold.
She passed me off to someone who scent was less than pleasent while she prayed. This woman struggled to get my No chip off even after I told her the the cotton under the foil was dry and needed to be more damp. She informed me thats how she had been trained and was scraping the crap out of my nails. I told her I felt uncomfortable and would do a Manicure which she also struggled with. I told them that I was going to leave and pay them for services that had been done. I paid them $ 35, As I walked away i was so pissed it was just poor service. I then had to spend additional money to get it corrected. I’M DISAPPOINTED, I called MUBEENA YESTERDAY AND SHE SAID SHE WOULD CALL ME BACK IM STILL WAITING. PLEASE DONT GO HERE!

I noticed most of the bad reviews are from people who got a lifebooker deal… maybe you should try something else… anyway… Ive been going to topliner for quite some time so im giving topliner 5stars because ive never felt more comfortable in a place to get waxed… mubeena and the girls are super friendly… i love the fact that mubeena always makes conversation with me while waxin and that really helps me forget bout the pain. She remembers her customers names so that shows she really cares about her customers… The place is pretty clean… i never have to wait so long… if your looking for a friendly professional place then i recommend Topliner Beauty salon

I bought a spa pedicure from Lifebooker. The only reason why I am giving this one star is because the woman was so nice and accommodating but this was not a good experience. First they forgot my appointment so I needed to go back the next day which ended up being fine but was an inconvenience.
She did a good enough job with my nails but feet still felt about the same as when I came in and when I looked back at my coupon said I was supposed to receive an exfoliating scrub and cucumber mask with my pedicure neither of which I got. I will not be going back.

I had a fabulous experience at the salon. They gave me an appointment that ran after hours but still took the time to finish properly. They were nothing but accommodating to me. The salon was very clean. This is a place where you can get a good manicure and a good pedicure that is affordable. My suggestion to those with bad reviews is to go back because I feel like they’ve improved since they first started out. I don’t have any idea where the bad reviews came from but my guess it’s because no one took any time to talk to or understand the lovely ladies in the salon, who were extremely nice and forthcoming.

I have never been so dissatisfied with a purchase. The loot deal I purchased from Topliner Beauty Salon for a Global Keratin treatment was not a Global Keratin Treatment. I have had the treatments before in the past and this was nothing like it. I feel as if I paid for a keratin treatment and was scammed because the products she used were not the Global Keratin brand and it did not leave my hair in the condition it is suppose to be in.

After reading some of the less than positive reviews, I was hesitant to take my friend here for her birthday REALLY glad we kept the appointment. The women who did our mani-​pedis were extremely friendly and nice. They did well with the shaping, buffing, cuticle trimming and painting. The foot and hand massages were fabulous. And we received free henna tattoos. Very enjoyable experience. Will definitely go back.

My girlfriend and I were just in there for a lifebooker deal. We did the mani and pedi, regular pedi and shellac. We unfortunately didn’t look up reviews before hand, but when we got there realized that we should have done that. We tried to assume the best, but the experience just was not enjoyable. Moreover, the previous reviews that say they are rough on cuticles are true, not only do my cuticles look bad and rough, they hurt! The no chip and pedis looked alright in the salon, but walking out they are uneven. The no chip is up on my skin and short in the front.
We will not be back despite the cheap prices. A manicure is supposed to be a good experience, but they just did not know how to do it.

Selection of colors for no chip wasn’t the greatest and the battery for fire alarm was still going off. My color looks ombré… but hey that’s in so it’s cool. The hand massage was awesome, and she made my cuticles look amazing.

Unfortunately, I am writing my first bad Unilocal review. I bought a Lifebooker deal for this place — $ 12 for a no-​chip manicure.
Location is great as it was walking distance from my place, so it at least had that going for them. However, as I walked in, I quickly realized it was not going to be a ‘nice’ manicure experience. They told me to pick a color… so as I stood there trying to decide, both of the ladies working stood right behind me (one bumped into me she was so close) starring the whole time. A little uncomfortable.
Finally picked my color, sat down, and she got started. Much like a few of the other reviews here, I actually had to ask her to stop, as she was being extremely forceful with my cuticles to the point where it hurt. She made 2 of my fingers bleed. While painting my nails, she was super shaky and got the color all over my skin, and only cleaned up some of it. Didn’t look to good.
On top of that, the fire alarm battery alarm was going off every 30 seconds my entire visit. Extremely annoying.
Happy to say I did not purchase the 2 no-​chip manicures for $ 18, as I would not return for my second. Won’t be going back here again.

Such a bummer. I wanted to like this place. I have been getting my brows threaded forever & they have never left cut/​blood marks under my brow, near my eye lid. I didn’t see this, till I got home & looked in the mirror. At least my brows looked good, but I still have a little blood/​mark on my eye lid.
Also, the manicure wasn’t good either :(Some of my nail on the sides, didn’t even have nail polish on them.
They are very nice there, but I won’t be back :(
Oh, I almost forgot. The threading price is $ 3 more than most threading.

I went on the lifebooker deal. 2 no chips for $ 18 or something!!!
So I found parking to be a pain because of all the snow. I’m sure normally it would be fine.
The shop is a no frills NAIL salon. I wouldn’t do much else here except that… and probably just a no chip… not a pedicure.
They only have about 15 – 20 colors. Nothing too great. It’s gelish I think and CND. I’m sure you can find something you would like.
Overall, she did an ok job on my nails. Mine lasted for 2 weeks. She really dug into my cuticles which hurt but I asked her to stop. She didn’t do the best job at shaping my nails, but did a good job painting.
Everyone knows I can’t pass up a deal. I found this place to be totally worth it for the super cheap no chip manicure.
I’ll be back for my next one!

I was hesitant to even get the no-​chip manicures done at this place after reading reviews about this place.
Since my last manicure was long overdue, I decided to finally use my coupon and try their no-​chip. At least my nails would look better than they have been the past 2 weeks.
I called to make an appointment. I made it for the next day around the time they opened. There is free street parking, which is a plus, although parking is not easy to come by in the area. I was lucky I spotted one a few doors down from this place.
As I walked towards the salon, it was hard to figure out which door was theirs. I had to kind of step out on the curb to look at the sign for the place. You have to buzzed into this place.
I made my appointment for the morning, I figure I would avoid the afternoon rush (if any). I walked in, after a lady let me in. The place was nice, clean, inviting. The two women greeted me. I mentioned my coupon and the lady led me behind the counter where there were tables for manicures. Immediately, I was asked to pick a color and then have a seat. I was the only customer for the whole duration of my manicure.
It was very cold in there. I enjoy the cold, but inside I even left my sweater on. The whole no-​chip process was the usual, (I’ve only had 2 – 3 no chips).
The lighting was not very good in there. They had those bright lights, but was dim. Which is not a good thing when you’re painting nail polish on someone else’s nails.
I had to squint while I was trying to pick out a color. They don’t have a big selection of nail colors for no-​chip. Maybe like 10 -/​+ for each brand, whatever they are called.
My nails looked good inside the building, but as soon as I walked out, I looked at my nails in the sun light and it was horrendous. There was lint stuck on the polish (The polish wasn’t drying good or something and she kept wiping the nails and the paper towel or whatever she was using kept getting caught because of the stickiness). There are gaps on no polish on the sides of my nails. The polish doesn’t even look shiny, just looks dull, and it’s only been a few hours. When I got my no-​chip from another place, they would make me keep my hand in the uv light box a lot longer than this place did. Which is probably why it wasn’t dry yet.
When she gave me a hand massage with lotion, she didn’t put any on my fingernails or at least around my nails, just my forearm and she dotted lotion on my fingers by my knuckles and just patted around a bit.
This place is way out of my area, so unless I’m in the are I might come here again, but probably not for their nail services.

No idea what all the bad reviews are about. My experience was really good. Customer service was top notch, and the wax service I had done was great. Super detail oriented and very concerned that I was pleased with the quality of the service. She even gave me a promo price even though I didn’t have a groupon. I would definitely go back. Don’t let the bad reviews deter you.

No-​chip manicure. The price was really good — 12 $, where else you can find better? But… the quality of the service didn’t really liked.
1. There were no solution to soak nails. After I left some dirt was left underneath
2. The color is not really good, its not intense, although the lady applied 3 coats to make it brighter.
3. The application itself was not very accurate, on some nails the polish was not applied all the way (it was a strip left on a side of a nail) and the ends of the nails were not wrapped around, which didn’t look good.
4. After 5 days this no-​chip chipped a lot))))

I came here with a Lifebooker voucher. That should have been my first clue. Apparently, they are advertising their deals all over the deal sites, like every one of them. I really wanted to like this place because it’s a local business and I like to support local businesses.
The salon itself doesn’t seem very inviting, the door remains locked so you need to get buzzed in. Walked in for my appointment for no-​chip manicure. I asked for a french manicure and to my surprise the technician didn’t know how to do it. And unfortunately, their selection of no-​chip colors was not that great.
Anyhow, she started to file my nails down even though I asked her to cut them short. It does not look like she had any nail clippers so she just kept filing away. The worst part is she kept filing it in a round-​shaped even though I said 3X to keep them square! Does not seem like she is professionally trained at all.
There was no lotion or hand-​soaking but she did offer a massage at the end which was nice. I did give them an extra star because she spent extra time putting on a different color after the first one I picked out did not turn out well.
I purchased 2 no-​chips and I’m not sure if I’ll even go back for the 2^nd one.

I took my boyfriends sister here as a ladies day out and was pleasantly surprised. I had a deal here but know they value their costumers and will offer discounts outside of the sites.
Our pedicures were thorough, clean, and relaxing and the technicians were very accommodating.
Our no chips were also great and had no complaints. I would definitely recommend coming back!

I generally have a high tolerance for things that go wrong in salons, but this was out of control. I bought a Lifebooker «organic» Brazilian 2 pack and it really was too good to be true.
My experience can be summarized in the following way:
*No handwashing or gloves
*Double dipping and used 1 stick throughout the whole wax
*No organic wax
*Blew on the wax to cool it before each application (unsanitary)
*Used 1 strip for the whole thing
*Left a ton of hair-​no rear wax (how is this a Brazilian?)
*Cut excess wax out of my hair with a scissors
*Lopsided
*Bald patch
Please. Don’t go.

I have gone in twice for manicures, I had a coupon for both times. The first time, i was not too happy, it had taken the lady over an hour for a regular manicure, but the second time made up for it. The second time, they had a little more color options.
The staff is definitely very nice and friendly. I would definitely go back, IF i am in the area.
