Tortorice’s Pizza

If you’re looking for a GREAT Pizza than look no further and this is coming from a huge pizza lover. I was there for the first time yesterday (Saturday) and ordered an 18 inch thin crust with Sausage, Pepperoni, Mushrooms, Green Peppers and of course the Cheese (Great amount of ingredients) All I can say is WOW! Amazing Pizza with real Mottzarella Cheese which is hard to find in Pizza these days. The thin crust as well as the entire pizza was perfectly cooked. My next trip back to Chicago I’ll be sure to stop in and try the Carmelized Crust with the same toppings. Can’t wait! This place is a must try!

I’ve had the thin crust and pan pizza’s both are fantastic! I’ve also had the lasagna, unfortunately I was not enjoying it, tasted like it had been in the freezer a bit too long. If you are craving for pizza and are in the area would definitely recommend Tortorice’s.

Best Pizza in town! I’m addicted to the thin crust. It’s becoming a problem. Delivery is always on time and the pizza is always delicious. The trash cans in the alley behind my apartment are overflowing with Tortorice’s Boxes.

Hands down one of the best pizzas I’ve had! Absolutely delicious! Every slice is filled with delicious cheese, and that caramelized crust and of course whatever topping you desire. Consistently, great friendly service. Speedy deliver you open the box and get to smell the amazing was that is a Tortorice pizza. There are so many options too, different pizza varieties, or you can make your own! And if you’re in the mood for anything else: salads, wings, breadsticks, subs, and of course you can’t forget dessert they have you covered! The dessert are divine!
When Chicago has so many pizza options it’s hard to decide, I’m telling you if you’re in area look no more Tortorice is your neighborhood joint.

5 stars across the board for this place. The pizza is phenomenal, the desserts are crack, and the gelato is probably one of the best I’ve had. Cheesy bread sticks are delicious as well. The owner is such a nice guy and I HIGHLY recommend this place. One of the best pizzas in Chicago.

Great Pizza at half the price many other great pizza’s in Chicago. Tortorice’s has recently become a family favorite for delivery.

Great food! Great service. This a classic Italian restaurant that u can never go wrong going to. They do delivery or u can eat at one of their many great locations. I had the pleasure of meeting one of the guys in charge, Billy. He’s a very genuine guy. All I can say is him & this location will always have my business!

I love their extra-​thin pizza, it’s as thin as it can get. Their chicken salad is excellent and the chicken is not dry or cold. I would recommend for pizza delivery, but they also have other things. The chicken strips are good, and all the salads are good.

While staying downtown the mood for pizza struck us. Looking for something different we went with Tortorice’s. We ordered a 10″ pan pepperoni pizza, hot chicken strips and tiramisu.
The pizza was simply stunning. This pan pizza is cooked more like a deep dish pizza with the raised crust. The best part is that the crust was much softer than other places and tasted great so you can eat the whole thing. Only issues was that the pizza wasn’t cut all that well so we worked a bit to take out the slices but no big deal.
The chicken strips were rather large and also were very delicious. They came with a side of ranch dressing.
Lastly, while the tiramisu was good there was no forks included. And being in a hotel you don’t really have cutlery available with you.
All in a all this is a fantastic pizza place. We’ll certainly order from here again if we’re ever in the city.

Very good pizza! I have ordered from here several times and have been generally satisfied each time. The delivery time is pretty good and the dough is great. Why not 5 stars? I suppose I appreciate a few other places’ pies slightly more (love Pequods)… but this is a superb back up… Deep dish with caramelized crust is a hit!

I just moved to bucktown! This is by far the best pizza place in the area! I love it!

I’ve had pizza from here a handful of times, including a big order for my birthday party back in September, and it has never disappointed. he double dough is top notch, although not your typical Chicago style pizza it will still satisfy even the diehard deep dish fan.
I usually order it delivery but the one time I dropped in there was a bit of a hiccup with the service which is why I’m only giving it 4 stars.
there was plenty of slices in the heater and I asked what they had, the lady listed it off and I chose my slices. then I looked up and there were a few people getting theirs before us and we ended up standing there for about 15 minutes for our slices. I never knew why, I would happily wait as long as I knew why. if they would have told me what was going on then no big deal.
we ended up getting out slices and again, amazing pizza.
so I still HIGHLY recommend this place.

This place Always has Great Friendly Service. The food is great, good value. I love the calzones! They are so big and delicious, enough for two people. All of their salads are fresh and crisp, you can add grilled chicken on any of them to make a very tasty meal. I dont know how they marinate their chicken but man it is always, juicy, tender and full of flavor.

This is by far the best managed pizza joint I’ve ever been to. The employees are more than welcoming, the drivers are always punctual and polite, and the owner is one of the best professionals I’ve ever seen. Billy always makes sure that everyone of his employees is happy and every single customer is satisfied. All Billy does on a day today basis is make sure that every angle is covered and every T is crossed to ensure that every person of his employment and every customer is satisfied. He is consistently trying to establish new options for every lunch and dinner customer he has to ensure that everyone will only give a positive word-​of-​mouth because that’s all he cares about is customer satisfaction. After trying various things on the Tortorici’s pizzeria menu on grand I would never venture elsewhere when my taste buds are crying for pizza.

My go-​to pizza place. Great prices, great pies. I grubhub often from here. Not all pizza places have bbq pizza sauce, which is my current favorite pizza. Tortorice’s come through!

OMG we had their Mac and Cheese Pizza by the slice last night before we all went home and crashed from a great day of college football watching and our lives will never be the same again. The pizza was delicious and incredible and even if I tried to replicate their recipe, I don’t think I could. That is the true sign of an amazing creation. I will definitely be back for more pizza.

So the very same day that I posted my first review about my delivery experience, I recieved a message from the owner, who apologized for everything and offered to give us a meal on the house to make up for the inconvenience.
This was NEVER about the quality of the food– as I mentioned in my first review– Their pizza is absolutely delicious and my husband and I have been long time customers, for the simple fact that ANYTHING we have ever ordered from their is flavorful, a generous amount and at a reasonable price.
I can now say that my faith in good customer service has been restored at Totorice’s– The owner made it a point to promptly reach out and address the situation not only with me and my husband, but also with his staff member to assure that something like wouldn’t happen again. I definitely respect that.
Since then, we’ve gone back and ordered another pizza and OF COURSE, it was GREAT and our server was very nice! I’m a happy customer! Thank you Totorice’s!

I passed by here many times and wrote it off because I thought their advertising looked ridiculous from the outside.
This is one of the best chicago style zas in the neighborhood. I’ve tried the thin crust, the deep dish, multiple toppings, and never been disappointed. Actually, they’ve all been great.
Give it a shot — I wouldn’t come here to dine in but this could be your go-​to place for take out.

It’s Friday night and you know what that means… you can find me eating PIZZA on my couch watching bad movies.
I ordered the garden salad with blue cheese dressing, which I had to ask for because there were no ordering clarification questions when I called. Clarification, like what kind of crust do you want? They have thin, double dough, pan, deep dish AND stuffed. I would think the type of crust I was ordering would be a major question they would need to ask. I ordered a 14″ thin crust tortorice special, that’s sausage, mushroom, onion and green peppers. Total wait time for the pick up order was 20 minutes… and if you’re not there on the dot they call you!
The salad was nice and big with iceberg lettuce, tomato wedges, sliced mushrooms, black olives, red onion, carrot shavings and sliced green pepper rings. The dressing was okay, it was fairly smooth creamy blue cheese rather than a crumbled cheese or creamy dressing with big chunks which I much prefer. The thin crust was nice and held up well under all the toppings. But as I devoured my way to the edge, you know that quarter inch on the end that is JUST crust, it wasn’t memorable or that great. A little floury, very crunchy and flavorless IMO… the dog liked it.
They do have a small makeshift looking alley lot on the side of the building so parking or a quick stop for pickup is super easy… but Grand Ave isn’t that busy in this area so street parking is just as easy too.
One 14″ pizza + one large salad = $ 30.64.
