Great jerk and couldn’t be better located. The only other food around is shitty fast food and this place does a great job of offering quality food, somewhat fast. It’s located east of the 79th red line, just a few stops on the 79 bus. The chicken is made to order and the rub has a great flavor, a mild-medium spice. All the sides are prepared throughout the day in place in front of you. The greens are so tasty with a nice combination of savory, salty, and just a little bitter left in them. Can’t go wrong with the sweet potatoes either(they call them yams), which were loaded with cinnamon and a great almost dessert. The lunch plates come with an entrée, rice & beans, two sides, a piece of white bread, and(hot) sauce. I thought it was a great deal under $ 10 with how much even fast food charges for junk. Best things about this spot: you can support a local business, get some deliciously marinated meat, and some quality sides that remind you of mom. I wouldn’t call the food healthy in any respect but I would definitely call it good!

As far as quantity for the price they are awesome but as for quality it seems they have good days and not so good days as far as flavor… So I’ll give a star.

Quality authentic Jamaican food on the south side. Spicy, fresh cooked chicken made to order and well made sides. Worth a visi!
