Under the Gun Theater’s mission is to create original theatre combining the mediums of Improvisation, Storytelling, Music and Physical Theater with a bent toward comedy.

Meet the Business Owner

Angie And Kevin M.

Business Owner

Angie is the Founding Director of Chemically Imbalanced Comedy and former Network Committee Chairman for the Chicago Comedy Association. Recent directing credits include «The Book of Liz» by Amy and David Sedaris, «Cartoon», by Steve Yockley, and «Sex» by David Wain. She recently was the Assistant to the Director of «The Second City’s History of Chicago» and currently serves as a faculty member in their Writing Program.

Kevin has taught improvisation for 17 years, first for iO Theater, then for the UCB Theatre in New York and now for the newly formed Under the Gun Theater in Chicago. He is the Artistic Director of Under the Gun Theater and the Chicago Improv Festival, the host of the IRC Improv Podcast and the webmaster of the Improv Resource Center. He is the former Artistic Director of the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater in New York, where he also served as the chief administrator of their training program. He directed numerous improv shows for the UCB.
