My tenant called to say that he had no electric power in the front half of his apartment. I called Wade and he came out that very afternoon to determine the cause of the problem. I have an old six flat apartment building with fuse boxes and a lot of the original electrical wiring and it took three hours for him to trace where the short was. He replaced the wire and restored electricity to the apartment. I appreciate his responsiveness and the fact that he was very thorough. He explained the problem to me and what needed to be done.
I’ve used him several times and he’s always done a good job. Sometimes he’s been a half hour late for a service call but he has always been responsive and thorough. NOTE: He also goes under the name Chicago Electrical Services.

I was referred to this company from Horton’s lighting. I saw the prior bad reviews and was hesitant to use this company’s services. However, I called around to several electricians and this company’s pricing (for my project) was half the price of the other quotes so I thought it was worth the risk to use them (especially since Horton’s recommended them). I sent the electrician the information about my light fixtures via email that I wanted to have installed and I received a fixed quote up front that wouldn’t change. They arrived 30 minutes early and offered to start early or wait to my scheduled time to begin. I received friendly service and a quick installation. They also set up tarps to protect my home.
Also, I didn’t consider putting my fixtures on dimmers, but Wade had some in his truck and installed dimmers for a small fee. I thought this was great, as after the lights were installed, I realized this is something that would be nice to have.
There isn’t one negative thing I can say about my experience and I plan to use them again when I switch out more fixtures.

I’ve had Wade Wilson to our house twice and he’s awesome. Very professional and easy to reach. He’s fixed dimmer switches that other electricians could not figure out. He knows his stuff. Also has great reviews on Angie’s List.

At 3:57pm, I get an email saying that he’s running behind and won’t make his 4:15pm appointment for me. I should have trusted the other reviewers. Shame on Horton’s Lighting for recommending such a bad business.

I booked a 10:00 a.m. Saturday appointment for an estimate with Wade and he never showed or called.
