I had a broken dryer and ice maker — Nick was very responsive, considerate and helpful. He came out the next day and the repair was completed within his estimate. He seemed very knowledgeable and came prepared for the job. Will definitely call again.

He came by 2 hours after I called. Took the machine apart and diagnosed the problem in 15 mins. Had a replacement part in his truck and everything was back together working in less than 30 mins. This is the guy you should call. Great price and very professional

He had me run some simple tests before he came over so he could make an experienced guess on the cause of the issue and bring the appropriate replacement part. As a result, the problem was fixed within just a few hours of my initial contact with him. He’s extremely honest and dependable. I would recommend him to anyone without any hesitation.

I called about my dryer issue and he asked for details on the phone so he would make sure to have the correct part when he arrived. Nick is the best. I called a few places and even had another company out before Nick who could not fix our oven. Nick was able to promptly diagnose the problem and did not overcharge us. Best, reliable service ever. Washing machine was leaking from the bottom. Contacted Nick and he able to diagnose the problem from our conversation. When he arrived, he had the parts on hand and had the problem fixed in no time! This guy knows his stuff. If you need any appliances repaired you need to contact this company ASAP.

Nick fixed 2 ice machines and 2 refrigerators that are high end appliances. He was on time with the repairs and right on with his cost estimates. He suggested and applied cleaning solution to the ice makers since they haven’t been cleaned in a while. Prices were very fair. I will be calling Nick again if I have any trouble with my appliances in the future. Very professional.

Nick is so good, I found myself looking for more things for him to fix! He’s honest, patient, competent, on-​time and loves his work. While he was waiting to test the new convection heating element he put into my Thermador oven, he even took the time to answer my questions about how to use and care for my Thermadore range. If you need an appliance fixed, call him.

Anyone with Viking appliances knows the importance of finding a reputable, dependable ‚& honest repair service. (FYI, even though Viking appliances for residential use are slick looking on the outside, they are poorly engineered mechanically. Be forewarned, anything with the «Vikling“name on it will constantly require repairs).
After being jerked around and overcharged by numerous appliance repair services over the years, WIndy City Appliance was a breath of fresh air. From the initial phone call to the follow up and actual installation, it was clear that WindyCIty Appliance was all about customer service. Nick’s follow through was impeccable. The problem was quickly diagnosed, parts were ordered, and phone calls were returned promptly. Last, but certainly not least, he is punctual, and his fees are fair.
Unfortunately, any Viking appliance owner knows the drill. You are going to need ongoing service as long as you own them. Abt and NorthTown appliance service might be bigger, but take my word for it, bigger is not always better ! Give Windy City Appliance a call. You will be glad you did.

When my washer broke, I called other repair places who gave me the run around. Nick took the time to look into my issue and promptly return my call with a suspected diagnosis and cost estimates. He was able to schedule an appointment in less than 24 hours, arrived on time and brought replacement parts to avoid an extra service call.
During the appointment, he fixed my broken washer sensor but also stayed to test a cycle and fixed two other issues. He taught me a lot of great maintenance and troubleshooting tips for all my appliances which was a nice bonus. His rates are very reasonable and the value of his service is unmatched. He really deserves his great reputation!

This guy is as honest and dependable as they get.
I have a bunch of rental properties and have dealt with alot of repair people … this one is a gem.
Called Nick about a Thermador dishwasher that wasn’t working. He replied quickly and set arrived when he said he would. He inspected the dishwasher and though he could have repaired it, he also honestly told me that it would cost more buy the new motor than replacing the DW with a new high quality one. I appreciated that he didn’t try to talk me into the repair.
Since he was already in our building I had him look at a couple of icemakers that were not functioning — he repaired one without replacing and replaced the dead one (we had discussed the ice maker on the phone and he had asked about the make and model and came prepared with a new one that would fit … It’s been several weeks and all is working great.
(Sadly I have to call today about another broken appliance in another unit — but I do so with confidence knowing that I will get an honest quick response from Nick.

Thank you to nick and Windy City for quick and efficient repair or our dishwasher! I had diagnosed the problem myself (thank you google!) and found the part that was needed. When I realized (after another Google/​You Tube search), that it was a little more complicated tha I had thought, I called Nick and told him what I thought it was. He said he was actually on his way to pick up something for another customer and would see if they also had the part needed. They had it, and he came over the next day and fixed it in no time. No annoying big company b.s. with Windy City and Nick! And, they’re a local company, so even better. I highly recommend!

At my condo my dishwasher broke (wasn’t draining the water) and since Abt was asking for a fortune just as a service fee I looked on Unilocal and found Nick from Windy City Service Repair. He came and fixed my dishwasher the same day I called and charged me twice as cheap as the big repair companies. From now on Nick is my appliance repair guy.

Nick is professional, courteous and well organized. On top of that his price was spot on for what we thought we’d have to pay to get our washing machine back up and running properly. Don’t hesitate to give him a call if you’re having problems with your appliances.

Ended up needing to call Nick again for a Subzero freezer that wouldn’t make ice and light in fridge not working, along with Thermidor double oven repair and a Subzero wine cooler not holding temperature. Again he promptly figured out the problems, ordered the parts we needed and came back a few days later to complete the repairs. Would recommend highly!

We have this double oven stove and microwave.
Been out for some time spoke to windy city appliance described the issue and they showed up with the parts needed to repair, they came out diagnosed the problem and resolved it the same day.
I highly recommend them, courteous service timely and very friendly.
If you want your appliances repaired correctly and fast you will definitely have to call them.
