Project complete, on time and on budget. When does that ever happen!!! Yard looks BETTER than when they started — you can’t even tell the flood control pit is there. During this last heavy rain, no worries about water coming up through the drains. I would hire Patrick and his team again in a minute!

After calling a few companys to install a flood control on the front of the house, I went walking along my neighborhood and I saw this people installing one on a house next to me. After I inquire about the workers were very friendly and polite. I like the work they were doing and I decide to gave them a call. That was a good deci​cion​.Mr. Patrick came to my house gave me an estimate and explain everything to me. They started the job a few weeks later. After they dig out on front of the house they find the drain pipe and the water line, but to the surprise of all of us, those pipes were dead. No drainage thru there. They have to call the town and put a camera thru the breather on the roof to find out the real drainage were going under my driveway. They cover the hole that it was dig out cut a square of the cement on my driveway and dig another hole to find the real drainage of the house. Those people are profecionals on that field. Very clean and friendly. After the job was done they clean everything. What I like the most is that they do the complete job by themselfs. Including the electricity. Good job guys.

I called Xpert Flood Control on 3÷21÷16 and Patrick came over and inspected my basement cement wall crack. He stated that because the crack was black and the water was coming in daily — that it must be the catch basin that is causing the leak. Patrick was correct. I checked with 4 different waterproofing company and they only wanted to repair the crack not to find out what is causing the crack. I’m so glad I used Xpert flood control because I would of wasted my money with these other companies they wouldn’t of resolved my issue. Patrick sent out a crew to my house on 3÷24÷16 and they tuck pointed the inside of the catch basin. Poured a concrete bottom to the base of the catch basin and repaired the cracks in the catch basin. Then they came in and repaired the basement wall crack which was 4 ft. long. They epoxied it and now I have no more water, no more cracks and I have a rebuilt catch basin. Xpert flood control came over @9:30 and the job was completed by 5PM. They did a great job and I would recommend them to anyone. One of the companies that gave me an estimate told me that I had a sewer problem and needed a camera inserted in my sewer pipe. He was wrong.

So happy we choose Xpert for our flood control. My husband and I were highly satisfied with this company. The company took care of all necessary paperwork/​permits with our village.

I received terrible news when I found out that I had 3 collapsed sewer drain pipes which were the cause of multiple basement backups. The good news was that I found Xpert Flood Control through Unilocal!They came out within a week and looked at the sewer drain. The owner came himself and did a consult for me for free. He told me he could have the whole thing dug up, replaced, and covered again in 6 hours and gave me an excellent price. Naturally I didn’t believe him so I called on two other companies. Their estimates were 30−50% higher and they couldn’t get me in for weeks. Xpert kept their word and were their in days. I left for work before they arrived and when I got back home at the end of the day, they were just replanting the sod. A week later and it looked like new. I’ve had no backup in the basement since and all the dampness from foundation seepage is gone.
Highly recommended and will use them again!

My company manages over 30 condo associations and of course living in the City of Chicago, you can’t avoid flooding units. Well, you can but you must be one lucky human or have a top of the line system to prevent flooding. Xpert Flood is our number one go to company when it comes to anything plumbing related. 12÷15÷15 This is my second time using Xpert Flood Control. They had originally repaired a deteriorating foundation from the outside. My family wanted to use the basement as a living space, so we needed a dry basement. When I started to get water in three different areas Patrick recommended I do a complete drain tile system on the inside of my basement foundation, that it would eliminate any chances of water getting into the living areas.
Patrick’s team started on Monday and finished on Friday afternoon. Each evening, they cleaned up and organized the work area. The workers and foreman were polite and very clean.
The Friday they ended, it was raining and rained all weekend, sometimes down pouring. All of the problem areas that I had noted in the past were bone dry as was the rest of the basement foundation.

Patrick — solid guy. Straight to the point, no frills. With my schedule and business — don’t have time for all the back and forth. His team — solid also. Very basic review here — which any contracting work should be. I asked for drain tile system, sub pump install, and basement flood protection. I received a very competitive quote and was told when they’d start and finish. I received exactly what I told I was going to receive. Guys cleaned up everyday, had smiles on their faces, and even came back later to do a slight touch up job in our basement that was not within the original contact — for free.

We purchase our home in May 2012 that was built in 1952… In April 2013 we flooded along with most of our NIles neighbors…18″ total in the basement. Never in life did I imagine this could happen! My inlaws told us about a system that could be installed to prevent this from happening in the future, they did the legwork… about a dozen companies came out to their house with estimates and proposals and they gave their business to Xpert Flood, and Angelica was there go to person… We watched the install and about a month after their install we had another flooding rain which once again flooded our basement… BUT their basement was dry this time… Perfectly DRY !! The first storm they had 12″, now none…
We called Angelica and set up an apt and she made her proposal which we thought was thorough and we were given a written proposal for the price including everything, NO hidden fee’s…
We did have a few more proposals, just because, and we cam back to Angelica and Flood Experts… We decided on Xpert for a few reasons…1 — My inlaws and their due dillegence on the history of many companies and products offered, 2– the product, we were very impressed with their flood system over some of the other ones that are being used and 3 they even offer a guarantee on their product… Angelica was great… she answered every question and was very courteous with every call we had to her asking even more questions concerning in stall and information.
A couple months later we were installed, July 2013. The hottest weekend of the summer so it seemed… their crews were unreal! The equipment was delivered the day before, the precautions that they took to protect the grass areas and existing landscapes and concrete were spot on… They were in and out in 2 days! Some of neighbors that used other companies had the mess for a week or more. Our lawn was pristine after wards… unlike some of our neighbors who had mounds of dirt with landscapers needed after the fact to clean the mess that was left behind… The day after Xpert left… you would never know they were installing this huge system under our front lawn!!! It looked great… the only addition a manhole cover, for we chose that instead of the concealed lawn topper…
That fall, another large rainfall… we were DRY !! The following spring… DRY…some of our neighbors with out systems are still getting water…
I could NOT BE ANY HAPPIER than I am with Xpert Flood Control… They were very courteous to our needs and scheduling… They were dependable and they ran the business end as they should… without problem.

I have had work done by Xpert Flood Control in my house and in my building. Since they have competed the work both my house and basement at my apartment have been bone dry. I found that they do outstanding work.
In my home Xpert put in a pit in the front with a double check valves. They come out once a year and lube, service the valves and clear it out and make sure they are operational.
Before I knew about Xpert I had someone else do the flood control. I paid big money only to find out they didn’t work. When it rained and I found out that both the systems installed were useless. (What a huge costly mistake)
I had a pit put in the front similar to the one Xpert, but with only one check valve. This pit took care of 95% of the water issues, but I was still getting seepage in the basement apartment.
After basement tenant moved out due to water seepage I had Xpert come in and cut out the floor and put in a perimeter drain tile connected to a sump pump & pit. This apartment has been bone dry since the perimeter drain was installed.
Xpert does expert work and I would definitely use them again.

So a good neighbor of mine gave me their number. When I called on a Saturday, they returned the call on Monday.
I made an appt for Tuesday, August 26, I explained my work schedule and she booked a time of 7 p.m.
I called around noon to confirm on the day of my appt. and no one called me back.
What mind of customer service is that?
If you can’t do the basics like call the customer to confirm or show up for the appt. it is apparent you don’t need the business.
I will go elsewhere!

Signed a contract with them on 5÷13÷2013 to put in a flow control valve (one way valve from our house to the city sewer line to prevent backflow). They promised work would start in 2 – 3 weeks. 3 months later after multiple followup calls from us, they started the electrical. They never completed the job, always promising next week, next month.

Had some foundation cracks and water leaking in some years back, so I called a few companies out for estimates. True to form, all of them pushed drain tiles. Since, at one point, we had back-​up, we looked into flood control and crack fixes. Xpert came in with the lowest cost on crack repair and since the repair sounded similar, we went this route. Had 4 cracks repaired. All cracks were given a «lifetime» warranty.
The warranty only works if you can get the people to come back out.
One of the cracks started leaking. I even cut a hole in the wall to inspect and sure enough, could see water trickling in through the repair. I even took video on my phone to show, just in case. I called them to let them know and they referred me to the person who repaired the crack in the first place. Not sure if I should mention names, but I can and will if it comes down to it. Short of it is, he answered his phone the first time and told me to make sure it was his job that was leaking. When I verified it was and called back, guess what? No answer, no response. I called a couple times more over the next several days and finally caught him again. He basically said it wasn’t possible that it was his work that was causing the issue and brushed me off.
We called another company out as we wanted the problem solved. The quote we got was pretty high, but we used this other company for flood control and like them. Not to mention we didn’t feel comfortable having the Xpert contractor back in our home again. His attitude and vibe were such that we didn’t want to deal with them again, ever. The other contractor came out, inspected the previous work, and said that it wasn’t properly injected that the injection was insufficient. He chipped out the old injection and redid the job. I have before, during, and after photos to back up the second opinion and the shoddy work done before.
We’ve had a couple rains to test the crack and so far nothing. Again, a testament to what good, professional work will accomplish unlike the shoddy work and attitude given by Xpert. My advice is to give your business to someone who backs up their work and will actually do a good job the first time around.
A «warranty» from Xpert means nothing given their lack of ability or willingness to back it up. Stay away!

I recently had a blocked sewer system. I called this company and while they responded in two days, they didn’t do a good job. Even though they charged me «premium» prices for the power rodding, the line was not clear. I had to get another company come in and clean out the system (read «redo their work»). The other company mentioned that Xpert would have identified the problem if they had correctly rodded out the system using the right equipment and flushing out the pipes adequately.
This failure to do a good job should give no one piece of mind. With this company, you never know if you’ll have to hire another company to correct their work.

I invested the money and have not had a drop of water in my basement since.
Yes, it was not cheap, but niethe was the time, aggravation, and damage
that my previous oft flooding basement had caused me. Patrick the owner is great.
No missed appts, always going beyond the call of duty on maintenance
calls. Highly recommend.

We had our catch basin installed in the front yard 11 years ago. Not a drop of water in the basement since, not even in the worst of the flooding rains. Our neighbors have had the same experience.
When we needed power rotting in the house Angelica understood that tomorrow would be too late. We had a real problem! and they came right away! They cleared the pipes and even cleaned up the mess the backup had caused in the basement bathroom! Wow! I thought I would have to do that icky job myself. But they said they wanted to make sure the whole system was working well before they left.

Don’t let the 5-​star reviews fool you. These guys are chronic no-​shows. I was looking for someone to do a power rodding in my sewer line from the garage to the street. They were going to come July 23^rd. The night before, the Chicago area had the massive flooding rains, so they called to cancel since they had numerous emergency calls. OK, I understand. I had no flooding, so it could be worse. They set it up for Aug. 6^th instead, a Saturday morning. So when it was close to noon, I was wondering where they were. I called the guy in the office and he said he lost touch with his crew. He was going to call me back once he got in touch. No callback and nobody showed up. Perhaps aliens abducted them…
Just to be sure, I called again. This time they said they’d come Sept. 13^th, offering no reason for the prior no-​show. I called them the day before and they said someone is coming between 12 and 5:30 PM. So it’s 10:30 PM now as I write this, and nobody came, called or offered to reschedule.
If they are flood control experts, they’re certainly not sticklers for punctuality or even showing up unless you got a $$$$ plumbing job for them.

Our basement used to take on water whenever we had heavy rain falls.
2 years ago, we contacted our city sewer in inspector (from Des Plaines) and he recommended Xpert Flood Control highly.
We’ve now had our Xpert Flood Control for almost 2 years. It’s worked perfectly. Last weekend, we had a record rainfall of more than 7 inches of rain in less than 1 hour! I figured, OK, this is the litmus test. If it holds the sewage back this time, it was worth the money we invested!
Almost ALL of my neighbors got at least 12″ of flooding.
Us? NOT A DROP!
I would say if you go with this system, make sure you get the maintenance package with it. It’s worth it just for the piece of mind.

Xpert gave me an estimate in November, then completed the work in early February as the contract said.
i needed flood control put in my front yard to keep water from coming up the floor drains in my basement when it stormed (flood levels)
they started Friday afternoon and were done by Monday afternoon (no work on Sunday, fine by me)
the cost was way better than the other two estimates i got and they did the electrical work for the sump pump. they did a great, quick job at a very decent price.
i only wished they had given me more than 4 hours notice that they’d be coming over. but they did a fantastic job. bring on the floods.
