Located in the Lurie Research Center at Northwestern University. There is a small selection of food options, and they have a salad bar with a decent amount of choices. The coffee here is ok; I tend to settle for it because I’m not really picky about my coffee and I don’t like to walk elsewhere. They also have a selection of fresh fruit, but the quality isn’t the greatest. I’d say the best thing that Zebi has to offer are their breakfast sandwiches, which come in normal and healthy varieties.

For those of us who spend many hours every day inside of the Lurie Research Center, Zebi is our one option for food and drinks. I must say they have a pretty vast assortment of snacks from fresh fruits to protein bars, chips, yogurt parfaits, hummus, etc. They do have hot items as well as a salad bar, although I haven’t tried any of those items. I usually stop at Zebi for my hot drip coffee; I have tried their espresso drinks and am not impressed, the latte just does not do it for me. Zebi is a good option if you don’t want to leave Lurie, but I would venture elsewhere if I had time to do so.

Zebi took over this small location behind Lurie auditorium a few months back — and it’s a big improvement. The breakfast sandwiches are custom-made however you want, rather than just pulled out of a package and heated — like they do at Starbucks. They’ve got muffins, cold drinks, several coffee options, and lots of quick bites to choose from. I still go to Starbucks across the street for my coffee though. But I come to Zebi for food during class. I just wish they opened at 8 instead of 9.
