It was rainy and my slow leak finally turned into a full-​on flat. I just needed to pull in and ask for enough air to get me to get my tire serviced. The mechanic here inflated my tire and bid me safe travel. It was hassle-​free!

The people were friendly enough, but the office and shop were filthy, the dogs stunk, especially the one Peke with the bad skin condition (I called the Human Society and reported it), and the guy behind the desk said he wouldn’t work on European cars. Lame! So I took it to Chico Brake and Alignment, where Bill did a fantastic job with no problem working on a European cars!

Checked my brakes, nothing wrong so no charge. Threw in a tire rotation too, and a sun visor. Couldn’t believe they didn’t charge. Nice shop dog, friendly folks, prompt unscheduled service and more than fair pricing means this local family shop gets my business. Oh yeah, and Car Talk on the radio is a good sign!

This place is amazing, I dropped my car off at 12:30 and even though they were busy it was done at 4:00. They were super polite and it was a good price. I would recommend A-​1 to anyone who needs their car fixed.

Fixed my car bouncing around on the road, everyone was really nice and they have cool dog that hangs out!

I went in to get my flat tire fixed and not only were they really friendly, they fixed my tire within 5 minutes and didn’t charge me a thing because it didn’t take too long. Good honest people. Take your car here.

My daughter was going to drive home from college today and she was worried about one of her tires being low on air. She stopped by here on her way out of town and they checked all four tires and made sure tire pressure was correct in all four tires. She even got to play with the shop dog while she waited! Didn’t charge her anything and sent her safely on her way. Awesome, honest shop! Would come here for any auto needs

Last week I brought my 97 jeep Cherokee into A-​1. It needed a whole rebuild on the front end. My jeep is pretty old, butch tried to find the parts for my car but no luck, no one had them. So I took it back home planning on cutting my losses and getting a new truck. about three days later butch called me up. He’d found the parts and could do the job for a great price. I was surprised that he had kept calling around and found what I needed. It’s great customer service, going above and beyond. Which seems more and more fleeting these days. I did get a different Jeep only because the deal was to good. But I will be taking my Jeep to A-​1 alignment when I need to get it fixed. Which I’m sure I will, I’ve always heard good things about A-​1. My experience with A-​1 was great, I know I’ll be coming back

My elderly mother was told by another local company that she needed brakes. She made an appointment at A-​1 after calling around for pricing. She brought her car in, they dropped her off at home, then they called her 20 mins later to inform her she did NOT need brakes and could prob go another year because she drives so little. Integrity counts and these guys have integrity. Thank you so much for your honesty and not taking advantage of my mom –who would have had no way of knowing. You guys will be getting referrals from me for sure.

just an update
Still really good. I moved to Redding and don’t have a mechanic here and I am not looking. Got a used Subaru and had to drop 1400 into repairs. I drove to chico got a hotel room and paid Butch to do the work. I am going to hate having to find another mechanic when I move to Texas. Good luck guys and thank you for being good to me. Try these guys out, you might just drive 2hrs and get a hotel just to have good work done.

I have been going to see Butch and his brother for tires, break and alignments since i came to Chico in 1995. HIs tire prices are reasonable, and his service is above all others. He is willing to take the time to talk to you, show you the necessary repairs, and talk about future services that are needed. He is friendly, and willing to work with you.
