Advanced Building Services provides several assessment needs. We perform infrared (IR) evaluations, energy assessments/​audits, and both home and commercial inspections for real estate transactions. Additionally, with a licensed contractor on staff, we can perform remodels or upgrades to your home and business that will make them more energy efficient. These improvements can improve comfort, save money, and reduce the impact on the environment. We are a PG&E approved contractor for the Energy Upgrade CA program and can participate in the rebates that are currently being offered. In many cases, we can assist you in finding funding, such as Energy Efficient Mortgages, that can help to afford these improvements.

Established in 2012.

This business was started after some friends in different areas of home services decided to come together to form a business. This business intends to serve many needs whether purchasing a home, looking for non-​invasive ways to find damages, looking to study ways to improve the home or business, or to upgrade/​remodel to enhance the energy features and/​or comfort of the home. This company offers a one-​stop approach to handle these needs. We also are able to assist in acquiring available rebates for energy improvements and also can assist in acquiring financing for this same work. Business Owner

I have been in the home assessment business for many years. I began with a degree in the Environmental Sciences and then moved into GIS mapping and environmental assessments first with the Nature Conservancy and then with NorthTree Fire for incident response situations. After several years in these fields I began work with FEMA assessing homes following declared disasters. After assessing some 1300+ homes I began working with various insurance companies assisting homeowners get their lives back together following these same types of predicaments. After several years of this I decided to get back to my environmental roots and to begin not only home inspections for real estate transactions but also to conduct energy assessments. This helps to show where homeowners can improve their energy usage for increased savings, improved comfort and health, and to reduce their usage of energy needs, thus helping to minimize their environmental impact.
