The place to go for organic and soy free feed options. The staff is great, helpful and informative. I was asked to pick up my dog (dachshund) due to the pee concerns, which as a dog owner, I’m quite familiar with! I respect Colin’s desire to keep a clean store, and was not offended in the slightest by his request. Granted, he asked nicely, so maybe that older review was helpful.

Great, friendly customer service, excellent quality in products, selection and price. C Bar D Feed is my new go to for livestock and pet feed as well as my bulk gardening seed needs.

I feel that C bar D is the best out of all of Chico’s local feed stores. The other guys are okay, but I often drive out of my way (from my home in south-​east Chico) just to shop here.
The owner is really really nice, as are his strapping young employees. Aside from all the feed store-​standard merchandise, they have the best organic chicken feed selection in the area, and often have really nice vegetable starts. Oh, and their «taste of the wild» brand cat food is the only thing I’ve found that will keep my cat from blarfing hair balls every other day.
I almost took off one star because they can be a bit expensive – I’ll admit I sometimes cheat and buy organic chicken feed from costco – but I’d really rather shop locally. And they offer soy-​free chicken feed here, haven’t found that elsewhere.

Down to earth service. Organic chicken feed. They will special order things, and they are open on Sundays. It is my preferred feed store for chicken supplies. Also they give away a nice calendar every year.

I went to C Bar D to look for a dog collar, didn’t know what size to get so I brought in my pup. The guy behind the counter ran up screaming at me to get my dog out of the store «because dogs piss all over everything and make a mess». He got his wish, I got back in my truck and took all the money I spend on dog and horse supplies with me, I’ll support someone who enjoys the work they do.

Alright you frat boys. This is where the hot chicks are. Seriously. This is where you can find baby chickens. They have all kinds of feed for pets and livestock and when you walk in it has that… feed store /​tack room smell of molasses and hay. Service is speedy and excellent, if you need food for a pet or livestock, this is the place to go.
