History
Established in 1913.
Dr. Newton Thomas Enloe opened the original Enloe Hospital in 1913 on Flume Street in Chico, California. In 1937, the hospital moved to its existing location at 1310 Esplanade. Dr. Enloe spent a lifetime assuring North Valley residents received quality medical care. In the 1990s, the hospital’s name changed to Enloe Medical Center. Today Enloe remains one of the only independent community-based Level II Trauma Centers in California and the only hospital with its own flightcare program.
