History

Established in 1996.

I received my Cosmetology License in 1996. I have always had a passion for the business. I worked at Dimensions Salon in Chico for 7 years and Managed it for 1 year.

I then moved to Body Escentials Salon which is now called My Salon through a new owner. I have worked here for 11 years. I enjoy the atmosphere and my co workers. I Enjoy Creating new styles and look forward to meeting you!

Where do I even begin! This whole experience was heavenly! My hairdresser, Karen Reynolds, was so friendly and inviting making me feel completely comfortable! She complimented my hair (even though it is pretty beat up) and was very gentle. She had an endless knowledge of hair color, and care. I had short fine hair with an awful discolor. Karen colored my hair to perfection and put in 18′ extensions! My hair color is even and the extensions blend perfectly with my natural hair. She was fast and efficient with a smile on her face the whole time! Honestly the best salon experience I’ve ever had.

I have been going to Karen Reynolds for my hair for the past 13 years. Karen is highly professional, she «knows» hair, and is just plain fun to be around. Karen is an excellent hair colorist. I receive MANY compliments on my hair color and cut. I wouldn’t trust anyone else to color or cut my hair – she’s the BEST in Chico!

I moved to Chico from Kansas and had to find a new stylist. (Obviously). I looked on Unilocal and found Karen. I chose her because of the wonderful reviews and they aren’t wrong. She does a wonderful job with my hair. Always has good suggestions and listens to me. She had helped to learn more about how to deal with my fine hair.

Been going to Karen for at least 12 years… that should say something. She is very reasonable, does a great job and can always get me in when I really need it. She keeps a record of what you had done (color, cut, etc.) so you don’t have to remember the specifics which is great for us busy moms. I would highly recommend!

You have to see Karen over at Body Escentials! She’s been doing my hair for years. Without her I never would reach my hair goals! She took me from pixie short to pass my shoulders long. She also has this great stuff that will lighten your hair without using bleach! She’s happy, professional and she’s never missed an appointment. I can’t say enough good things about her!
