History
Established in 2007.
After moving to Chico in 1982 to attend CSU Chico, I began working in the food and restaurant industry. That is where my love of cooking began. As an outdoor enthusiast, cooking outside was just a natural progression. With over 30 years of cooking experience there is not much we have not tried to BBQ.

Business Owner
Born in Bakersfield California, my love for the outdoors brought me to Chico. I graduated from CSU Chico with a bachelors in Computer Science. Immediately after I graduated, the business world tried to call me away — but my roots were too deeply planted in Chico to leave. When I’m not spending time with my family, I’m either hunting, fishing, or cooking. My passion for outdoor BBQ is over the top and is something I truly enjoy. That is why I started Hunter Drake Smokehouse BBQ.
