Joanna is the absolute best! Everytime I have an appointment with her it’s practically like I’m just meeting up with a girlfriend for a cup of coffee or something!
She always leaves my eyebrows perfectly shaped, my lip silky smooth, as well as a smile on my face! I usually come I’m sleep deprived after working all night and leave feeling rejuvenated just from the laughs and conversation we have .
Joanna– Please don’t ever leave your profession, I don’t know what I would do!

After reading all of the great reviews on Unilocal,I decided to give Courtney a visit. I was completely new to waxing anything below the brows and approached the situation with quite bit of tension. Courtney did an excellent job at keeping the operation as pain free and not awkward as possible. My skin is typically extra sensitive to wax but I have never had any type of reaction from her wax. She goes the extra mile to make sure there is not a hair out of place (or in place, depending on how you look at it…). I’ve been going to her for about a year now and would suggest her service to anybody and everybody that cares to listen! She is so sweet and is such a nice person to chat with! The studio is in a great location and is always stocked full of beverages for anybody who has a wait before their appointment (which I never ever have to wait!). The environment of the studio is laid-​back and friendly. Booking is incredibly easy with the online booking tool and the prices can’t be beat. Please give Silhouette a try when considering you waxing options!

I have seen Joanna to get my eyebrows waxed a few times now. She does a great job. She is friendly and talkative making the appointment fly by. I like that you can schedule your appointment online and get a confirmation email. There are appointments past 6 pm which is helpful.

I did a lot of research before choosing a waxing studio in town to get a Brazilian. This place seemed to be the place to go and I was really hopeful. Let me please say, my waxer was fantastic. She was friendly, good at her job, and most importantly comfortable to be around. I would give her 5 stars if I was just rating her. The woman I spoke to on the phone when making my appointment was also very friendly. I have zero problems with the staff, they seemed great.
The studio itself, the waxing room to be exact, was the problem. It looked really great outside of the waxing room. Everything was pretty and looked clean. Maybe I didn’t pay enough attention or didn’t notice but it all seemed fine to me.
As soon as I walked into the waxing room I was a little uncomfortable. The sheet over the table looked kind of gross, but I know stains happen so I just kind of shrugged it off. But after I got waxed and was cleaning myself up I noticed how totally disgusting the entire room was. The tables/​counters, sink, and even the walls seemed to be caked in grime. And it honestly may have been just because they spray tan in that room (that was mentioned to me), but it seemed super grungy and made me VERY uncomfortable.
I mentioned it to my waxer and immediately felt awful because she seemed mortified, but again I have no problems with her. She was so great and I really liked her. But the caked on grunge just really ruined it for me (cleanliness is fairly important when getting anything waxed), and I highly doubt I’ll be back.

Good place to go to in a pinch. My brows didn’t turn out horribly but they weren’t as great as other gals I have gone to in Marin County, Orange County, and San Diego. One brow ended up being thinner than the other. She uses hard wax for brows, something different than what I am used to. No stencil or outlining done/​used to shape the brows, it was all «free hand.» Brazillian was okay too, she missed a few hairs on the more tender parts, so the last thing I wanted to do is go home and tweeze that area myself. The facility itself is clean and well maintained with calming relaxing music. I will probably go back again because the choices in Chico are limited. Overall, it is a good place… for Chico. Prices were reasonable as well, definitely cheaper than Southern California!

Moved to Chico not to long ago and finally took the plunge of finding a new waxing place. Courtney did a great job, was friendly and quick. The place itself was clean and very nice. I will definitely be coming back for all my waxing needs.

So I got a brazillian on January 4^th by Joanna. I waited till today, 1/​7, to see if anything went wrong. It didn’t. That was officially the best was I’ve ever had in my whole life! During the actual appointment I didn’t even feel like I was getting waxed at all which is a big deal cause I’m a huge baby. Then when I went home to pluck the ones the waxer usually misses, I did not find a single hair to pluck! Then I waited to see if she ripped any skin off while waxing, (usually get very red and sore) but not one single problem! I’m severely impressed and have decided Joanna is my new permanent waxer!

This studio is the hands down best in Chico! So clean, friendly and very well designed and reasonably priced!
My first time here I was getting a Brazilian wax for the first time ever! I was so nervous and uncomfortable however Joanna not only did an amazing wax but also did such a wonderful job at making me feel comfortable! She is very professional in her work yet also does a great job to make you feel like your going to visit a good friend! I now go to Joanna for all my waxing needs and am never disappointed! Courtney is the best and the only person in town I’ll trust with my eyebrows! I’ve had her wax and thread my eyebrows and she’s great at both. No one else has been able to give my eyebrows such a nice shape. I’m a blonde, so I always get them tinted as well and she always gets the color perfect. I would definitely recommend her :)

Courtney provides professional and excellent service. I have been a client of both her wax and eyelash tint services. She uses a hard wax on me, I found the temperature perfect and her hand quick. The eyelash tint was a perfect addition to my pre-​vacation visit. No mascara necessary while playing in the water, which is quiet convenient.

I’ve been getting a variety of waxes here for almost a year and I will never go anywhere else. Everyone who works here is amazing and so professional. I have an appointment there this afternoon and the esthetician I was booked with is sick so they called and another esthetician is going to see me so I can keep my appointment. I love that! They are so considerate. They make you feel really comfortable and at ease and my appointments are always on time. I would highly recommend them

If you are going for waxing, be sure to see Courtney! She is amazing and super friendly! I have had a few bad experiences with others in the past but Courtney definitely knows what she is doing and is not on the bad list! I would recommend her to anyone looking for a great waxing experience!

Love coming here to tame my brows about every three-​four weeks. Joanna is so good at what she does, I feel like a new person every time she does my brows! I highly recommend coming to Silhouette and seeing Joanna!

Definitely come see Courteney if you’re getting a bikini wax. She’s friendly, thorough, efficient, professional, and very sanitary. I’m here temporarily from the Bay Area and I’m paying less for a much better job than I’d get at home.

I got a Brazilian wax from Courtney and she did an AMAZING job. I have only had one before about 9 years ago and it was so awful and painful I hadn’t tried it again since. I read some stellar reviews about Courtney so I decided to give it another try. She was so friendly, and even though I was there to drop trou’ and get the hair ripped from my lady parts, she is so professional and laid back I felt like I was there for something as benign as a nail appt. She is VERY fast, which I was grateful for, I mean waxing is not an experience that you want to draw out. She chats with you the whole time which keeps your mind off of the discomfort, and frankly she is so good that it was barely worse than ripping off a bandaid.
I went to her about a month ago, and I wanted to wait to see what my results were like before I wrote a review. I was expecting at least some ingrown hairs or irritation after, and amazingly I was a little red for a few hours after, but that was it. I had no bumps, no irritation. The hair has grown back SO much thinner! I will be going to her for as long as I live in this area, I am highly pleased with her services!

I am so thankful I found Courtney and that she provides this service here in Chico. I started seeing her (I think) around 2006. I had been to several other salons for waxing in the past, but was never completely satisfied with the service or the professionalism. I am not a regular waxer, but occasionally I will come in for a Brazilian or bikini. And recently I started coming in to get my eyebrows threaded.
Courtney is extremely professional. She is super sweet, carries on conversation, creating a relaxing and comfortable environment. She is detail oriented and cares about what she is doing. She is always on time! And she is very quick, but takes her time too.
I LOVE her online booking. You can get to it from her website; it’s a simple pick your service, select your time and technician and you’re done! Easy! Her website is also very informative too. Just recently I needed a service before the weekend and there wasn’t a time slot that worked in my schedule. I called just to double check and see if there wasn’t something else available. Courtney returned my call promptly and was able to squeeze me in the next day. Great Service! Very resonable pricing too!
