Had my longtime bike pilfered from my garage and after consulting cycle buddies, was expecting to have to lay out close to four figures in order to replace it. He lives in Manhattan and I in a modest pocket of the Pioneer Valley, so I hoped that I might find that sticker-shock worked in reverse, too. How right I was upon grazing through Mickey’s compact showroom, which nonetheless featured bikes of all stripes. Not only did I walk out with a great new mountain bike /touring bike hybrid, but I paid less for it than I did for my last bike, which dated back to 1997! So, very pleased with that, as you can imagine. Equally pleasureable was the customer service I received. This is a real mom ‘n’ pop operation, with the two owners being longtime residents of the area. Their dedication to their business and serving their customers well was apparent from the word«Go», as in, «Go take it for a spin around the block.» Weeks later, a repair was needed from squishing it in the back of my Subaru on a long drive into the Berkshires. I figured this would set me back something like $ 75. Two days later when I went in to pick it up, they released it good as new with nary a word about charging me. Just fantastic. Maybe it helps to be friendly yourself when you make a purchase. Certainly a good rule to live by, as I established some nice conversation with the two of them at the time of purchase. Or maybe, probably, they’re just exceptionally decent people. If you’re in the market for a new bike, I’ll bet you’ll come out ahead wherever you’re traveling from if you choose Mickey’s as your first option.

This is a trustworthy, family-run business with a long track record of great customer service. Their repair shop is second to none and they’ve even fixed a few minor problems with my bike at no charge. Whenever I need maintainence or repairs, I trust Mickey’s to do the job right at a fair price. I even bought my wife a new bike there!

Just moved to the area and I must say, Mickey’s is a real treat! It’s a specialty bike shop combined with the friendliness of a small town store. Customer service is wonderful, they never pressure you, and they’re always brimming with smiles whenever I stop in. I really appreciate that even the mechanics are super friendly and always ask if they can help. Love the selection of accessories, plus the prices are affordable. Any work I need done will be at Mickey’s.
