I began my management career at the age of 15 managing an outdoor power equipment sales/​service retail store, which I managed until age 21. After studying accounting/​business management, I left the store to purse a position in accounting. My first position after college was CFO, for my family-​owned trucking firm. When I took this position we were managing a 100 trucks and drivers on a manual ledger system, knowing that this had to change to make the company run efficiently, I began automating the company. In 1990, in rural southern Ohio, it was a difficult to find a firm who provided computer networking and software design –so with guidance and never ending support from my uncle, who automated his manufacturing firm the year before, I decided to become self-​taught and automate the load-​tracking and billing of the company. Before I realized it, I had 30 companies using my software and hiring me to design/​install PC networks. This was the birth of ADS iT Solutions!
