Facilities: nice and clean
Nurses: this is where the bad part comes in… There are some that are nice, but otherwise they are the LEAST helpful group of nurses I’ve ever met.
1) filling out new patient papers– they didn’t let me know I needed to fill out more than one page and they didn’t go over what any of the papers were for (I wish I had known I DIDNT HAVE TO sign up for some of the stuff)
2) I had to fast for my blood to be drawn– there were no instructions on drinking water or not.
3) I requested a specific doctor that day, and was given a junior doctor…
As I told her my ailments, she just kep suggesting to lose weight and rolling her eyes at me. She was rudely hesitant to give me an EKG for my chest pains. Very uncaring– until she saw my blood results and realized I may have some serious issues…
4) No follow up on serious issues — she wanted me to get a second drawing which I didn’t have time for, but she didn’t even call or tell me when to get another blood test.
They had patient portal setup, but mine is no longer available either because they went with a different system or i’ve been gone that long.
They had water available, so that’s nice I guess

I saw Dr. Benton recently for a routine physical. I am a medical provider myself and I know what a good visit consists of and what it doesn’t. Dr. Benton was polite, professional and thorough. His office staff was the same. I was very pleased and am looking forward to being under his care.

Please remove your comments immediately, they are against the privacy law. You don’t know how to treat patience. Thank you for not seeing me as a patient, you saved me a head ache.

Just wanted to post an updated review as this office is still just as great as it was when I first came to CompCare.
I came about a month ago, and wanted to do a routine physical and well woman’s check up. Apparently there was a miscommunication with the scheduler, and I was told only the physical could be done. When I reiterated that I didn’t really have free time to come in for a separate appointment due to my work schedule, they squeezed me in to do both anyway, which was a huge relief for me.
I received a bill last week in error, as my services were coded incorrectly. I called and spoke to the scheduler, and she directed me to scan the bill and email it to the office. It was handled within 2 business days! This is exceptional, and again, another reason I will continue to use this medical group.
I don’t know how anyone can say anything bad about this place. I’ve never had a bad experience here. The nurse who took my blood, and vitals when I came in for the visit was really kind, gentle, and it was an overall positive experience, as I have come to expect from CompCare!
Thank you to Dr. Benton, and your staff for your continued efforts and consistency in delivering a great experience.

My issues are very minor things. Like physicals, throat cultures, allergies, etc. my previous dr.‘s office seemed to be busy all the time and I would have to wait 30 minutes or longer even with an appointment. This office is open every Saturday AND I don’t wait more than about five minutes after I step through the door. They always have time for me, the scheduler is super nice, and they treat me sincerely every time. They also do blood tests in house. I don’t have to make a separate appointment with quest diagnostics. That’s was always a hassle with my previous doctor.
Now on to Maritsa and Michelle. Maritsa is a nurse and Michelle is a PA. Their bed side manners are great! They try to inform you of every detail of your treatment so that you can better treat your condition. They are the biggest reason that I give this office five stars. Michelle is very knowledgeable and accommodating. Maritsa smiles and laughs and makes coming to the office more pleasant. I know that I’m going to be well taken care of and properly treated for whatever condition when I see them.
I highly recommend this office.
Wait. One more thing. They take apple pay through their credit card machine! Another plus.

Grain of Salt
Take the good and the bad reviews with a little Salt. Experiences are on par with having bad days but also overlooking some weaknesses.
My experience with Dr Bemton have been professional.
The staff at times can have their moments and need to work on getting organized to brim them over the top on customer service.

I have been a patient here for several years and love Dr. Benton and his staff, my husband and my son also are seen here. We always are able to get appointments and never have to wait to be seen. The level of care has always been fantastic.

Based on all of the responses to negative reviews left here, I’d say no one remembers anything correctly, except for Dr. Benton. The length of time it took him to respond to my review indicates the difficulty I encountered when trying to reach him. Although his response attempts to paint him in the best light possible, when reading between the lines, he isn’t saying much different than what I said, aside from putting the onus on the patient to make another appointment and pay another co-​pay to him, rather than canceling one referral and writing another. He also never addressed my main concerns, which were the rushed visit and lack of examination. Further, I did, in fact, return every call, and never once was my call answered. Phone tag is for children, not professionals. I felt my review was fair, and now I feel that Dr. Benton’s response is further proof I made the right decision. I’m glad I switched providers. The office is beautiful but the care is sub-​standard. What a joke!

After coming to this office for three visits, I get the feeling they’re more worried about padding their pockets then finding out whats going on with me… or at least being honest about the situation.
I don’t plan to come back.

This place is THE BEST! Can usually get an appointment the same day and they always take you right in. No waiting. Kristi is the best. So knowledgeable and so caring. Would never think of going anywhere else!!!

I use this place as my primary dr. I’ve seen multiple drs here and each one is great! I’m always a few minutes early to my appointments but I’ve never had to wait. Sometimes even seen early! My meds are promptly sent and ready to pick up too!
The staff is every nice and i have not one complaint!

Doctor Benton is the best. He is one of my favourite doctor of all time. He is not only a good doctor, but extremely nice person. If every doctor cared about their patients much as he does and have same bedside manner as he does, no one would ever be afraid or hate to go to a hospital or doctors’ office. If you need a primary care physician or internal medicine doctor, you should try doctor Benton. His office staff is also great. Just show up on time at your appointment and you won’t wait long. Which is rare these days. No long waits here. Thumbs up for Dr. Benton and his crew.

Excited to have such a great group of doctors here. Great personal service… They truly care and do not treat you as just another billable transaction…

I went in today as a new patient. I loved how the staff is very friendly. The girl who took my vitals was very nice. The office is very clean, big, and it smells good. They provide complimentary water.
Dr. Benton was very professional, funny, and very attentive. He takes his time to explain things and answers all the questions you have. Best doctor I’ve had period. They also have comfortable chairs inside the rooms. I recommend this doctor to everyone..

We just moved to this area and I went to see Dr. Moreno .just loved her! very sweet and thorough. very short wait! and once inside the room she came in immediately-​no wait at all! she was thorough and I was very comfortable with her! so nice to find a good doctor!

Love, love Dr. Cynthia Moreno! I’ve had quite a few doctors but none that are caring & thorough as her. Most doctors would just give you prescription to whatever pain you are feeling but she takes the time to listen and questions your symptoms. She will advice to take a mild OTC drugs but she will take the necessary steps to test you so you can get the right treatment. I recommended her to my parents & my mother like her also, she said «this doctor is good; she actually cares.»
Their office is up to date on technology which means you can email the doc with any questions you may have & vice versa, all results will be emailed to you! I’ve had a doctor where they require you to come in & see the doc, having you wait 30 minutes, pay the copay, & only to come & find everything is normal, a 1 minute convo… wtf?!
The nurses are also very gentle when taking your blood. I couldn’t feel a thing, although I can’t say that it’s all the nurses there but, so far, they’ve been gentle with me for the last 3 years or so.
I can’t say this review goes for the other doctors located here but I only recommend Dr. Cynthia Moreno because she’s the one that has treated me here.

Dr Benton is excellent and the facility is about as good as it gets. Very clean and comfortable leather couches with complimentary water bottles in a little fridge. Friendly staff. The only problem is that I never have to wait more than a minute or two! Seriously.
Dr Benton is affable with a very concise and clear way of explaining things. Great doctor.

One star for office is nice and the building is new. The staff pretty much sucks. It says dermatologist, but they’re actually just a family practioner type. I made an appointment for cortizone injection for a huge cystical acne. When i went through all the hassle, the doctor says they don’t do cortisone. I made the appointment by phone and email stating specifically for the cortisone. They have a Don’t really give a sh*t about anything attitude. I waited for 20+ min after i went into the room for the doctor. The quack asked me some general stuff, like, am I healthy, what i’m there for, do i have stds… i’m thinking wtf? i made an appointment, don’t you guys communicate what I’m here for? am i healthy. wtf??? Anyways, I went along w/​it just because the fact i was already there. i was prescribed some general sh1t, like something you can buy at walgreens, some benzoyl peroxide wash and some antibiotics, clindamycin phosphate (stronger form of neosporin and for your face). So they got this online portal where you message the doc and get status. well, it’s all nice and dandy, but you’ll be the only one using it because, obviously, they don’t. they said my precription will be sent to the pharmacy of choice. I go to walgreens and they don’t got jack. I picked up NOTHING. i tried calling, using their portal to message.etc.NOTHING. I guess when they send pharmacies information, they don’t check to see if it goes thru. I guess if someone is dying, they jus send a lil fax over and if no one receives it, then who cares. I finally had to do their job, calling them back, going to and calling walgreens to confirm their fax has been received after 3 days… etc.
good luck to you all and i’m glad you guys like places like this. maybe i just had a bad experience!
UPDATE: 4÷19÷13. So I receive a message from Alfonso @ CompCare, so obviously his response dictates the negative reviews are indeed accurate. Instead of caring for the patients/​customers, or actually looking to improve their team/​system, he is backlashing at honest reviews made by myself and also by others as you all can see…

Office is nice and doctor is great but service needs to be improved.
They never called my insurance to check what was covered and what was not considered routine.
I walk in for my routine check up and thought everything was fine. At the end, the receptionist asked me to pay a $ 20 co pay. I thought that was strange since my insurance said I don’t need to pay it. I asked if she called and she said yes and I have to pay. So I trusted her.
I called my insurance when I got home and they confirmed I should NOT have paid. I call back and told them I called so they said they’ll review it. I get my refund check in the mail a few weeks later.
Later, I receive a bill for my blood work. Again, I call my insurance to check why it was charged. They said the office ordered some tests that were not considered routine. Again, I had asked them to only check for things that are considered routine and to check with my insurance. I guess I trusted them too much and now I’m stuck with an expensive bill with tests that I did not need at my age.

This was my first time to this practice. The office is amazing… I was warmly greeted and was promptly assisted. Dr. Moreno was amazing and wouldn’t hesitate recommending to anyone.
