We offer in-​home, private tutoring services to families living in the Chino Hills, Diamond Bar, and Walnut areas. Our well qualified tutors are all local to the community and familiar with many of the schools, teachers, and curriculum in the area. We offer a variety of programs to help fit the needs of both parents and students. With multiple payment options, no contracts, and personalized sessions, our goal is to simplify tutoring while providing your student with the optimal educational experience.

History

Established in 2011.

As residents of Chino Hills and graduates of Ayala High School, our goal in creating our business was to provide a new, more progressive tutoring service for members of our community. Using our knowledge and experience in both education and tutoring, we seek to widen the availability of private tutoring and provide a flexible program that is tailored to the needs of each individual student.

As current educators, we realize that effective teaching is not only about having a strong knowledge base in a given subject, but also relies heavily on being able to break down the content in a way that is accessible for every learner. Given this understanding, we make it a priority to train tutors in best teaching practices to ensure each one is knowledgable, prepared, and qualified to teach the subject matter they are tutoring. Now on our 5^th year, we continue to hire and train tutors to help every student reach their maximum potential in academic achievement.

Meet the Business Owner

Hector and Marie H.

Business Owner

Marie graduated summa cum laude from Chapman University with a Bachelor’s degree in Education, English Literature, and Language & Literacy. She received her Master’s degree in Teaching from the University of California, Irvine and holds a California Teaching Credential with Bilingual Authorization.

Hector received his Bachelor’s degree in Logic, Philosophy, and Science from the University of California, Irvine. He was a middle school teacher in science, mathematics, technology and Spanish and has worked with students of all ages. He is currently pursuing his master’s degree at Princeton University.

With over 6 years of teaching and tutoring experience, both Hector and Marie have used their knowledge and expertise in pedagogy and tutoring to co-​found Genesis Tutoring. Their passion for education continues to drive the time and dedication they invest in ensuring all students receive the support they need to reach their academic goals.
