GoodEarth Montessori School

We absolutely love Goodearth Monttessori school. My two daughters 5 and 2 are going to attend this kid friendly school. The staff was great in helping us register. All of our questions were answered in a professional manner. We feel at peace with leaving our kids in the hands of this staff.

I love this school !! My daughter is with Ms. Barbara and Ms. Gloria, they are very sweet and has a lot of patience with all the kids. I really feel my girl is when hands.

Well I have to say I am very disappointed with this school. Ms. Barbara and Ms. Gloria they really need to have smiles on their faces when receiving our children… SMILES can work wonders!

My son attended this school for 2 months and he absolutely loved it. He no longer attends, but still begs to go back to school to see «BaBa» (Ms. Barbara). My son struggled a lot at school and I was very fortunate to have Ms. Barbara suggest that I take my son to get a hearing test because of the issues he was having. As it turns out, my son has an issue with fluid in his ear which distorts his hearing capabilities. If it wasn’t for Ms. Barbara we would have never considered testing him as he could hear perfectly fine in quiet (at home) conditions, but not in loud (school) conditions. Since testing him, his ears have cleared! Yay! Thank you to Ms. Barbara for pointing this out to me and helping me help our little guy.

This school is one of the best schools in Chino Hills my daughter is two years old she goes to blue room she loves Mis Erica Mis Kelly miss Barbara… when I drop her offin the morning she is so excited and happy to be there I’m glad I found this school for my daughter keep up the good work with all love and respect to all the teachers and staff I know for sure my daughter is in a safe and fun environment

At first site I thought the school was amazing until I sat in on one of the classes. My child was scheduled to start as soon as he turned two years old. So I took him a few times before hand so he can become acclimated with the environment.
There was some things I thought were disturbing when I sat in on the class (blue room). The teacher Barbara and her aid Kylie were amazing! I loved them both already. They were so wonderful with the children.
However, there was another aid by the name of Erica who i felt was inappropriate. She yelled many times at the kids and two times I seen her grab a child by their chin to tell them to look at her when she was speaking.
I don’t want my child to be yelled at or grabbed like that. I called the school this morning to discuss my concerns with the director and her response was that Miss Eric was a favorite by the children and had not heard of her doing that. I can’t say if she did it before I could only say what I seen while I was there.
The director was pretty much dismissive with what I said and cut me off while speaking to tell me that I had to feel comfortable.
Thats correct! So I then asked about my deposit and she told me it’s not refundable. My concerns did not matter. I couldn’t believe how rude she was. Im very disappointed.

By far the best Montessori I have ever been to and I have been to a lot due to my work. I teach a Taekwondo program at most of the local Montessori schools in the Diamond Bar/​Chino Hills area. The staff is amazing and you can tell everyone here is very genuine and they all enjoy what they are doing and they have a lot of love for the kids. Some Montessori places. just seem like they are strictly business. and the teachers look like they dread their jobs and are constantly checking their phones and probably running out the door when their work shift is over, but this place is very different.
I told my Sister how great this place is and she enrolled her 2 boys, 3 year old and a 5 year old and they really enjoy it so far. One of my favorite things to do is to actually stop by there and hang out with my nephews. The Teachers are very friendly and they do not mind. My sister lives on the border of chino/​ontario so this is a good. 20 minute drive for her but she doesn’t mind because she feels like it is worth it.
They have tons of extra curricular activities that they may sign up for such as language classes, soccer, dance, and Taekwondo.
Parents, I highly recommend!

I decided to put my son in school when he turned 2−½. My first visit there was late in the day and almost all the staff was already gone but I was given a tour and information on their curriculum and invited to return during the day. Before returning I checked out multiple other schools and was very disappointed. My son was not potty trained… and is quite a handful… so it was comforting to know the class he would be starting in at GEMS had a teacher and 2 assistants. This was in comparison to most other schools that only had a teacher and an occasional assistant.
My son started two half days a week and had a very hard time adjusting… he was not talking very much and was only used to being home with me. His teachers were very patient and comforting and he eventually grew to love his new classroom. Soon after he was also fully potty trained! He is now ready to start his 3^rd year there and loves going to school… he has to be dragged out some days! He absolutely adores all of his past and present teachers… Ms Barbara, Ms Carolina, Ms Alicia, Ms Alice and Ms Deann… who have always taken the time to talk to me about his day. Ms Sonya is always there to great us with a smile and is great about making sure he gets his lunch ordered, even when we forget to tell her.
I could go on and on about how great this school and the entire staff is! They are all caring, nurturing and completely wonderful! My son has learned so much from all of you over the past 2yrs. I would not send my son anywhere else and will be starting my daughter there next year too! Keep up the great work everyone!

I have had two kids in this school for 2 years, and I couldn’t have been happier. My son started here at 4 and my daughter at 3. The staff and teachers at this school are amazing. Between my 2 kids we have been through many teachers and never once did we have a bad experience. All of the teachers know every child’s name from the first day, and the kids are always treated with respect. I felt my kids were always challenged academically and are now well prepared for their journey to public school. Each child advances at their own pace here, so they are always challenged. My sons kindergarten class this past year taught by Ms. Jennifer and Ms. Jenny was excellent. He has picked up great phonics skills at this school, to where he can pretty much read anything you put in front of him. His writing skills is just as great and he is already adding and subtracting double digits. The loving and caring environment he has been in has created a great love for learning. As for my daughter, I feel she is well prepared for the fast paced public kindergarten next year. We started with Ms. Melanie last year in the half day class, and she is amazing. Then this year with Ms. Alice and Ms. Deanne, I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. All the teachers we have had the pleasure to have, love their job and it shows through their attitudes. More than 90% of the staff in this school have been here for years. The turn over in this school is not often, and the management is very good with getting rid of staff that doesn’t carry a kind and positive attitude. The extracurricular classes are in the morning so all kids can participate. Some kids leave at 12:00, and some at 3:00. My kids stayed until 3:00, so not sure what happened after that. They do allow TV on rainy days before 9:00, and super hot days instead of too much playground time. Other than those times, I’ve not seen TV played any other time. I left my kids here with a peace of mind these past two years and would recommend this school to anyone.

This review is way long overdue. My son has been attending this Montessori for about a year and a half now and I would have him no where else.
The team at good earth Montessori are top notch you are treated like family and the socialization that my only child relieves here from the friendly kids and adults is the friendliest I have seen anywhere. From Ms. Carolina to Ms Jenny, Ms Alice Ms Sonya and many more top notch women who have taken action when I have had concerns or questions about my tot. I love the open communication.
Basically to clarify, I simply love this school and the staff and will continue to be here until my son ages out. Thank you good earth Montessori.

My daughter has been coming here for 2 years now. I feel very comfortable with all the caring teachers and staff. It is a wonderful environment for my child. The teacher listens to my concerns and are very attentive to my child.
They have extracurricular activities like soccer, tae Kwon do, Chinese and Spanish classes!
They make sure your child is fed and if she ever doesn’t finish her lunch they let me know. They provide snacks and for extra money they provide lunch. I usually bring lunch because my daughter has so many allergies.
The learning curriculum is awesome. They are beyond prepared when entering kindergarten. I love when my daughter comes home and songs the days of the week or months of the year. I am beyond satisfied with this school. I’m sending my son in a month!

Best preschool around this area! The teachers are very experienced and helpful. My son was not easy to handle, but they worked with us and guided us in the right direction! He enjoyed his two years of preschool and is ready for kindergarten :) The office staff are also very professional and obliging to our needs. We are very happy and we can’t wait for our second one to start his preschool in Good Earth!

My daughter goes here and I can not say enough about the staff and environment. From the exterior it looks small but once inside I was blown away especially the play area!!! She started when she was not potty trained and they really assisted in that process. This school really cares about the children and takes time for each one.

I visited this school a couple of times when I was researching which school to send my 1.5 year old son. I visited no less than 8 schools in the Chino Hills, Diamond Bar, Walnut area. I chose not to send my son here even though it’s the closest to my home for the following reasons:
1) The programs you pay extra for happens during Montesoory school time in the morning instead of during the daycare time after 3:30pm. This doesn’t make sense as the timing is only good for the teachers, not in the best interest of the children.
2) All the kids are placed in the windowless daycare room after 3:30pm, a non-​Monetessori environment. I was able to find a school that offer sfull Montessori environment from 6:30am to 6:30pm. No daycare involved.
3) They have a TV showing cartoon during daycare time (after 3:30pm). I saw a kid so bored he was playing with his thumb. TV in school is a big no-​no. Only good for the teachers/​administrator to make their lives easier; not in the best interest of children.
4) Your kid can’t «advance» to a Montessori room until he/she’s fully potty traine, which may be until he/she’s 3 years old! This means my son would’ve had to stay in a non-​stimulating, windowless room for 1.5 years before he qualifies to go to the real Montessori classroom.
The school he’s currently going to didn’t take kids until they’re 2, but they’re placed in a full Montessori environment from the beginning regardless of whether he’s potty trained. I’ve never seen him bored, and he loves all the activities and individual attention w/​o any TV! Sometimes he doesn’t want to leave the school when I go pick him up because he’s trying to finish a Montessori activity.
I hope this helps parents with their research, and I also I hope Good Earth can improve their program because I do like their proximity to my home.

The reputation of this school seems good but I had the worst experience with my daughter here. It seems like a great school, lots of activities, secure location, full classrooms but for me it didn’t matter. In the beginning, I thought it was my daughter. She would cry when I dropped her off and again when I picked her up. She would tell me that one of the aides was mean to the kids. At first I shrugged it off but apparently I shouldn’t have. They ended up letting the person go and the teacher must have known about the problem and didn’t say anything. It just seemed like something was missing at this school. I was driving her farther away for what I thought was a better experience. Instead I ended up taking her out and finding a smaller, better fit for my daughter.

My little boy went here for 2 years. Caring and attentive staf is what make GEMS one of the better schools in the area. We were referred to this school by a teacher and it was the best suggestion for my son. He was in Tiny Tots previously and even though Tiny Tots is cheap it wasn’t exactly what my little boy needed. Tinty Tots is more like Daycare than a Montessori and I wanted my boy to be challenged and not just taken cared of.
I have the highest respect and admiration for the staff here. Rest assure that your child is in good hands here.
