Specialties

Korean Karate for children starting as young as 3 ½ to 12 years of age as well as adults. We also offer Self-Defense, Kickboxing, Parent’s Night Out, and Summer Day Camp.

Soo Bahk Do is a traditional Korean martial art that uses both hand strikes and kicking techniques. Students learn the art through a progression of techniques that increases their self-confidence both mentally and physically. Students learn blocks, strikes, kicks, and self-defense techniques in a no-contact, non-competitive, controlled environment. The class promotes an atmosphere of respect, courtesy, friendship, brotherhood, cooperation and goodwill that can help improve the student’s relationships in their lives and in the lives of others.

Lil’ Masters: Our tiny tot program offers a special curriculum developed for their age and abilities. Students learn many of the same skills offered in the traditional Soo Bahk Do class through games and special activities designed to develop character and increase self-esteem in a positive atmosphere. Students also learn important safety skills including their phone number, address, stranger danger and the use of 911.

Want to get your kids off that couch to get some exercise and spend some quality time with them? Kick and punch your way into better fitness, endurance, and confidence. We take Soo Bahk Do techniques and incorporate them into a fast paced and fun fitness class for all ages. Both adults and children can work together for better fitness.

History

Established in 2010.

On A Mission Korean Karate Center began as part of a non-profit sports organization of a local church. Our philosophy of developing positive character traits work well with Christian beliefs. As we grew, we decided to move to a larger location to provide our expanded programs to the local community. We continue to follow this same philosophy and provide our program to churches.
