These guys have been awesome! I came in to ask for a bigger piece of fish due to the fact that I didn’t feel I was getting my money’s worth and they were so accommodating. I hated to say that I felt my piece was small but they made me feel great and added more fish with smiling faces. Everyone was cheery and the cook was happy to give the customer exactly whet they request. It’s my go to Rubios for my lunch break!

This is my go-to Mexican fast food joint around the neighborhood. I went there again today and I realized that I haven’t written any review on it. I always order the Beer-Battered Fish Burrito and get enough roasted Chipotle salsa from the salsa bar to go with the burrito and chips that come with it. I like the freshness of the food and salsa. They used to let me switch to whole wheat tortilla but now they no longer do that. Also it would be great if they can introduce different salsa flavors such as mango salsa, etc even as a seasonal offering.

I absolutely love fish! For the longest time, I I didn’t eat it at all because I was allergic to shelled fish. As I’ve gotten older, my reaction has become very mild. If I do have a reaction it’s just a skin reaction and I just take an allergy pill. Now, I’m all about the fish and really don’t eat much red meat any more. I love the cajun seasoning here. I always get the California bowl then mix up what fish I order but the tilapia is my favorite. Their fish tacos are really good here too. Unfortunately this visit, my husband order the taco plate which comes with two tacos. One taco was very dry and no sauce. The other had a double portion of the sauce. He was a little disappointed by that but still enjoyed his meal. I love that this location puts the side of beans in a little cup instead of on the plate to get everything else soggy. We also order the bean and cheese burrito here. You’d be shocked to know that they have one of the best b&c burritos. Yum! The salsa bar was clean and stocked. There’s nothing I hate more than going to a condiment bar that’s disgusting! Everything is very affordable. That’s what I love most about some of these little fish places. Fish is so darn expensive when you go out to a restaurant so paying less than $ 10 for a whole mean is totally worth it!

I have been coming to this place for years! Rubios is a classic fish taco joint. Good burritos as well. It will definitely fill you up. Service is really quick and friendly. Shiraz helped me out and guided me to choose something new instead of my original order. I always got the fish tacos but I started ordering the Especial Burrito now. Shiraz and his team provided great service. Cheers!

All the people that work here so nice and the food is really good! I had never been here before this weekend, and I came in for lunch with my friend today. Cole & David were so sweet and hopefully their managers see this! You guys are awesome!

This place is disgusting. I found two hairs in my food and when I went to use the restroom there were roaches all over the floor which only means they probably have roaches in the kitchen also. I told the manager Jessica and she was very sweet however I will not go back to this place ever again.

Food is very tasty but i have always thought it was over priced. We had not been in a long time and ate here a few weeks ago and i found out they raised the prices even more! I ordered 4 baja fish tacos and it was like $ 13. I didnt even order a drink. The tacos were much smaller than they used to be too and when i was done i was still hungry. For the same taco price i can go to pacific fish grill and get full on three of their much bigger fish tacos.

Must be busy because dining area is constantly dirty. Staff needs to implement better cleaning routines. Food is just awesome though. Enjoy how I can sub out tortilla side for black beans or citrus rice. Also serve mango tea which is a plus, just need to do a better job keeping it stocked.

I love Rubio’s and this location is great! Today I stopped in because I had a gift card and I’m low on money at the end of the month. However, the machine kept saying error when I scanned my card. The lady at the register could have easily rejected my card or made me wait for a long time while she tried to fix it, but instead, she went ahead and had my food made and sent out to me while she worked on figuring out the system. By the time she got it to work, I was already halfway finished eating my meal. For all she knew there could have been no money on the card(there was more than enough). I really appreciated this gesture of good faith!

This Rubios is fantastic from a customer service standpoint. Today we encountered a young guy named Davin… he had the best attitude and was very helpful in helping my wife make a decision on what would best suit her tastebuds today.(A feat that no regular Joe would ever want to get themselves into!) He saw that we were sitting outside and brought our food out to us. Within a minute of being done, he ran out and grabbed the empty plates off our table. Now if Rubios could serve their food faster, this experience would rival that of our other favorite place here in Chino Hills, Wahoos. That said, the Mahi Mahi Buritto is Awesome! Give it a try with Cilantro and Onion mixed with their mild red salsa… hits the spot every time!

I love Rubio’s. This is, like other a super clean location and not too full. The wait is always longer than I would like, even without anyone in front in line. Though it is always worth it, I am OBSESSED with the balsamic roasted veggie salad. I usually sub salmon for chicken, but I do enjoy their chicken as well. We have gone thorugh every thing on the menu by now and I really like most of it. My husband is obsessed with their gourmet steak tacos, I love that they let you sub flour tortillas, which we enjoy much better. The kids meals are a good deal, the meat quesadilla is HUGE and the churro’s SO good! We came here because we got an invite to their enchiladas tasting event, 2 free for each of us, great offer, join their online club, you get great email offers, such as a free fish taco just for signing up. The enchiladas were good, the green sauce better than the red. Rubio’s has one of the best salsa bars around. Always super fresh, I am partial to the green salsa, fresh lemons and tons of onion and cilantro. Service is always super nice, the only reason Rubio’s get 4, not 5 stars from me is for the prices. $ 4 for a small taco is way too much, half that is plenty. The portions are small, if they were double that or half the price, 5 stars all the way!

YESTOFISHTACOS. Seriously, Taco Tuesday Fish Tacos are a Godsend. Crispy battered white fish with fresh cabbage and mayo sauce on a warm tortilla. Endless choices of salsas and condiments. I really enjoyed it and I’m happy I finally found a good fish taco place in the IE!

The food is actually pretty good, but for the price that they’re at, it’s not really worth it. The only thing that has good value, would be the Tuesday Fish Tacos($ 1.50 after 2.30pm on Tuesdays). The shrimp burrito I had was perfectly seasoned, and the tortilla skins were good. Their sauces are also good(for the chips you get). I suggest getting only fish tacos from here. Anything else, not really worth the value.

Been coming here for years. Always good food, always a good experience. The Gourmet Tacos are amazing !!! Do yourself a favor and order(1) steak and(1) chicken when you go. I love the choice of the whole wheat tortillas, great addition to the menu. Also love the Chipotle and Fire roasted salsas !!! Don’t waste time with Baja Fresh, come to Rubio’s Don’t put the Fork down !!!

Rubio’s is always my go-to place for excellent fish tacos. However, this time I decided to change things up a bit and get their salmon burrito. Although they usually have very fresh seafood, their burrito was a little too fishy for my taste. They have an excellent salsa bar and their chipotle salsa is the best for dipping chips. Also who can pass up their beans and dip their chips in them? If you come to Rubio’s — get what they do best — their fish tacos.

I remember a time when Rubios fish tacos were such a huge hit in my hood that it was always busy, taco tuesday or not. Nowadays, you walk in there and can almost hear crickets walking out the door. The fish tacos used to be way better. It seems, the fish in that crunch batter has gone on a diet and dwindled into almost nothing. Sigh. Nonetheless, I still like their fish tacos in flour tortillas with the white sauce and green salsa. My counterpart ordered the bean and cheese buritto with grilled steak. It was a large burrito, but I also realized that it didn’t have much steak in it either. Little sprout ordered the cheese quesadilla and that lacked cheese as well. But at least it came with a churro.
