I first bought my Subaru in April of 10. I had a HUGE vision (as we all do) of what I wanted MY WRX to be like. I knew nothing about Subaru except that they looked sick in magazines and sounded unique.
In September I met 2 guys named Harry and Steve who had started a parts and service business with a big vision of the RIGHT kind of Subaru shop where everyone is included and welcomed. We developed friendships and from there my car took off, started with a downpipe and AP, and how it grew! Ha
Grew to a built motor ready to be tuned with one minor issue that had to be resolved before the tune could really go on. 2 days ago I went to get that tune. I had a popping and stuttering problem that I struggled with for months, until I asked Steve. And within the hour we had a pretty solid idea. Got the tune all worked out and swapped the sensor Steve suspected to be the problem and WOW. My car is a whole different animal than ever before, better than I ever had envisioned in my excitement of early Subaru ownership. I actually love this car again!
Years down the line of working with these guys has shown me that success doesn’t change everyone. These guys are transparent, honest and very generous and that’s why I continue to solely work with Harry and Steve at 7L. And that is NOT a cliché.

Every once in awhile my 2008 Outback wouldn’t start. My local mechanic told me to trade it in because no computer code was present. WHAT!!! I looked for a Subaru mechanic to get another opinion. I took it to 7L. Of course, it didn’t do it at the shop but they cleaned out the air system which was dirty and off I went. All was well and then it did it again. I took it back to Steve. He drove it for several days and of course it didn’t do it. But he gave me advice and on start up and charged me nothing. SO honest. He could have advised me to start replacing things $$$. So hopefully no more issues. I would trust Steve as my Subaru mechanic! The BEST!

I might be biased but 7L Autosport in Chino is top notch. Dustin, Tina, and my good friend Gordon the doggy are awesome people to welcome customers. Always friendly and with a smile. They make you feel welcomed and a part of the family when hanging out waiting for your car to be finished or just when you go hang out. The techs are amazing. I can’t say enough about the quality of work they put into each and everything they do. Whether it is a simple install to a full motor build, they got you covered. I have gone here since the day I bought my car and won’t go to any other shop. The quality of work is THAT great. Then there’s Steve. No words can express my gratitude for this guy. I don’t think I’ve met a more knowledgeable guy that knows so much of the mechanical side as the tuning side. I have done 4 tunes with him and the car runs and feels amazing. And NEVER have I had to go back for a revised map. He is super meticulous and doesn’t get you in and out like the others. I don’t care if you have an ‘awesome’ waiting room and a TV screen to watch you dyno my car. I want someone who spends their time and dials every single aspect down to the T. If there is one shop in SoCal that does it all, that truly loves helping people, and is extremely knowledgeable and will actually sit and explain things, it has to be 7L Autosport in Chino. Hit them up. You will not be disappointed.

I had my Nissan GT-​R worked on here even though they specialize on Subaru’s they were more then happy to do work on my car, everyone is really nice and respectful they give you options on what you can do or want. They are really helpful and have a great waiting room with great new reading material overall I definitely recommend this shop for Subaru owners and non Subaru owners, great pricing too for example I went to a shop (not saying what shop for shops respect) and asked how much they charge for a oil change they said $ 200 to $ 220 when I called here and asked they quoted me 145 with oil, oil filter
And labor.

An absolutely outstanding shop when it comes to Subaru service, sales, and modifications. The tuner Steve is probably the best there is when it comes to Subaru tuning in Southern California. He doesn’t just make power, he makes safe power. He will spend literally hours on one car. Their facility is terrific too, they have some of the greatest and most modern hardware available in the industry, and their prices are always reasonable. Their meets are great fun too. Highly recommended!

This shop is great! I have an 06 STi. I have been taking it to 7l for approximately 2 years now. Very technical. I bought my car used and it has suffered neglect issues from the previous owner. They have been great at pinpointing problems. Just had the turbo rebuilt. My car has 110k and they have it running stronger than ever. Won’t take my Subie anywhere else

Extremely professional to the point of being perfectionist — Steve and crew treat your car like it is their own and Chief Tuning Officer (or Technical officer) Steve won’t stop until he gets what he wants — and what he wants happens to be the very best tune he can do for your car. Be patient, because unlike other shops around south Cali where they spend a fixed couple of hours on your car before anxiously showing you the invoice with $$ figures, Steve won’t be satisfied until his art is complete. He worked on my car until midnight (!) and being a very intuitive person I can strongly feel that he treats his job as more than just a job, but as a form of art — indeed, if modding/​performance tuning is art, then Steve is one of the very best and most dedicated artists in the scene!

The shop has a very big indoor worksite which is around 3 times as big as that of a typical competitor’s in the LA region, so your car is always being kept inside and safely stored. Unlike some other places where they have to push your car out of the way when work is being done on other cars, this shop has so much space available for all kinds of simultaneous work (they can do alignments, oem/​aftermarket installations, maintenance, etc. in addition to tuning, so whatever you may need, they likely have the solution ready). The waiting room is very clean and well kept with good AC and lots of magazines to read. They even have a mini snack bar in case you get hungry!
Special thanks go to the very friendly lady Tina with whom I had a very nice chat while in the waiting area. The mechanics who did my installations are master level with proper certifications, and judging by the way they routed my tubes and hoses in the engine bay, they must be very smart and artistically well endowed (i.e. they won’t just cram everything in there and leave, but actually figure out the most efficient as well as the best looking way of arranging space and parts). 2 thumbs up for everybody!
Last and certainly not least, Steve is my man and honestly I can’t thank you enough buddy for giving me exactly what I expected from my build; you have extracted everything this car has got to give and shine — everytime I am on the road, I feel the confidence and power. Behind my smile and in my heart there will always be gratitude for what you have done — Thank you Steve! :)

I have a 2011 Scion tc, and I was a bit sceptical taking my car here because I knew they specialised in subaru. After talking with Steve, I knew this shop would be a prefect fit for tuning my turbo’d tc with the aem ems2. Steve made sure to go out if his way and contact me with updates, and keep prices in an affordable budget. I will always come to them, and recommend others as well. It is rare these days to come across nice genuine people who actually care about their customers and their cars. I definitely recommend this shop do not hesitate to come here.

Got work done on my car here after talking to a few other Subaru specialty shops in the area. Pricing is reasonable. Here’s what I like about them:
1) This shop is Subaru focused, especially WRX’s and STI’s. Harry and Steve are very knowledgeable.
2) You can get a lot done under one roof if you are getting your car modified. Compared to going to a shop for parts installed, load up an OTS map, then drive to a tuner for tuning, they can take care of everything, including tire mounting and alignment.
3) They have a lot patience with project planning. Steve and I communicated for weeks over what Stage 2 upgrades to incorporate and the approach to the pro-​tune. Unlike some other shops that would recommend a part or brand just because everyone else is running it, he would explain the reason behind each mod. in a lot detail and his past experience with them. Harry also gave me a test ride in a similar car so I can get a feel for what to expect.
4) While work was being done, Steve would give me updates on what they were doing and how things were coming along. After the job was complete, we spent a good hour on what was done, dyno results, etc. Again, he was very patient and would answer any question I tossed his way. Compare to other shops that would take just your credit card and hand over the key, this was appreciated.
5) Steve followed up with me 2 weeks after the tuning was done, which again was much appreciated.

I took my Audi here for an alignment. I had a really good positive experience. Price was fair. Great customer service and overall, a couple of friendly guys. Would definitely come here again for service!
Just gotta get my hands on a WRX next… hehe.

Had Steve and the boys work on my 2009 wrx they have done full turbo back exhaust bct, cobb intake, headers front and rear sway bars, brembo brake kit And one great pro tune. Not to mention all my regular service !! At a fair price I won’t ever take this car anywhere else !! Give them a shot you won’t regret it

All I can say is wow… I’m the type to never take his car to a mechanic. I’d rather do it myself and know its done right… When my car ended up busting my noggin chasing a crank but no start issue I finally collapsed and sent my car, very begrudgingly, to the now apparent MORE than capable hands at 7L.
Harry, Socrates, Steve, and the rest of the incredible staff at 7L did a fantastic job not only chasing down the problem but fixing it in an INCREDIBLY lightning fast manner. I have never in my life dealt with a shop that was so professionally and personally outstanding on every, single, level imaginable.
The staff here is incredibly talented and knowledgeable all while maintaining a great personal experience for the customer. I may not be a fan of taking my cars to shops, but 7L has earned my business for the remainder of my days as a Subaru owner.
If you have a Subaru and need ANYTHING done… This is bar-​none the ONLY hands to leave your precious metal in. Don’t be an idiot and waste time chasing around other shop owners for weeks at a time, get it done right the first time and take it to the guys over at 7L Autosport. You won’t be sorry.

7L Autosport is a great shop! Took my baby in today and they did a fantastic job. Needless to say my 2012 WRX is more that just a car to me. And I couldn’t ask for a better group of gents to work on her

Best shop around for Subies. Wouldn’t recommend anywhere else. Want people who know exactly what they’re talking about and the experience to back it up? This is the place to go. Subaru dealership is way more expensive and half the quality of service compared to 7L.

I read about this place on nasioc forum and from the reviews on there this shop was good to go. I had alignment and I needed my codes deleted from air pump delete I had done since my air pump took a crap on me (2006 wrx). 7l took care of me and are very professional more professional than some other dealerships I’ve been to. When my car was ready they showed me my alignment specs and what they did and told me about the code delete. If you have a Subaru I would def recommend 7l or Suby specialties in Monrovia, but 7l can do a little bit more then Suby can as far as aftermarket and tuning goes.

First off the four of these guys are all studs know what they are talking about, super friendly and knowledgeable, they even bought me Costco pizza, I got an Invidia downpipe and Cobb accessport. Their waiting room is clean and air conditioned with magazines and water. I highly recommend them to anyone.

As a woman, it’s hard to find a shop to get your car serviced. I don’t trust dealers! 7L has a friendly HONEST staff. Very up front with cost and no extra stuff added that I didn’t need. They used a laser alignment machine on my Subaru Outback. My car no longer drifts to the right. The mechanic came and talked to me letting me know what he had done and that my car was finished. Great customer service! I usually have to ask at the dealer when my car is done. The owners really care about the customer and it shows. My Subaru will be serviced by 7L from now on!
