The Birth Center is a warm, inviting place to give birth and offers amenities such as full kitchen, beautiful gardens, in-​room tubs, fridge, CD players and towel warmers. Personalized prenatal care integrates time for talking and a focus on preventive, holistic care. We also do our own lab work and ultrasounds and fun things like belly casting and photography.

Birth packages include the CA newborn screening test and massage therapy with Licensed Massage therapist; Tanya Sissoyev, LMT. Tanya specializes in pregnancy, birth and postpartum with more than a 1000 additional training hours for the childbearing year.

Birth in our beautiful center or the comfort of your own home. We specialize in waterbirth and have helped more than 400 babies be born in water! The birth center combines privacy and comfort with the reassurance and safety of knowing that clinical care and equipment are discreetly nearby.

History

Established in 1996.

Lori Luyten, LM, CPM has been in private midwifery practice since 2000 and has extensive training and experience in waterbirth. Lori’s practices what she calls ‘physiological midwifery;’ understanding and working to preserve the physiological and hormonal balances of labor, birth and postpartum. Combining traditional and alternative approaches, you won’t have to sacrifice the special moments to have a safe birth!

Lori opened her first birth center in 2005 and relocated to Chino in 2007. Quickly out-​growing that location we have been in our newest location since September, 2009 with more than 4000 square feet and ample parking.

Lori and her husband have been married since 1985 and have four children. They have lived in the Chino Valley since 1987.

Lori has been in private midwifery practice since 2000 and in March 2011 attended her 450th waterbirth! Lori has a balanced perspective to caring for wome and practices what she calls «physiological midwifery»; understanding and working with the physiological processes and hormonal balances of labor, birth and postpartum. Combining traditional and alternative approaches, you won’t have to sacrifice the special moments to have a safe birth.

In addition to private practice, Lori is a preceptor for the National College of Midwifery and is on the advisory board of Christian Midwives International.
