I don’t know about any bad service from this place… I am building a half pipe for my kid to skate on and I wanted 4×10 sheets is ACX. It just fitted my layout best. I called today and spoke to Howard who was very nice on the phone. He informed me that they didn’t stock it but might be able to get it from a supply house they use, and that he’d have to call to get price and availability. He asked for my number and said he’d call me back. I was thinking I’d be lucky if I got a call by tomorrow… Wrong! He got back to me within 15min! Price wasn’t too bad… $ 54 a sheet, so I went ahead with the order. He did ask for a card number to get the order going and I mentioned that I wanted to just pay cash. He checked with the buyer and got approval to go ahead without the deposit. Turn around time??? Said it should be in tomorrow around noontime! Now for the kicker… I am running CDX under the ACX and I was going to get 10′ sheets of that too. He did the math and figured out I’d save $ 60 if I used 8′ sheets instead. Not too many places go out of their way to save you money! I will be rebuilding a 100′ patio this summer… Give you one guess where I’ll be buying the wood!

Very poor customer service/social skills! I’d hate to say it was due to my race or ethnicity but they aren’t friendly to say the least!

Great local lumber yard. The people here know their stuff and provide great information and service. Anything you need they will have or know where to get it. Best selection of wood in the area IMO ! They also carry a very complete hardware selection, paint, electrical, plumbing, nuts, bolts– you want it, they’ve got it. And for answers to any repair problems in your home – see the«Guru» at the back counter.

A great old school hardware store. These kinds of stores are all but extinct and that’s a shame. Everybody that works there knows what they are doing and can help with any project. A great lumber selection which probably keeps them alive. Basic tool selection but what you would need for most projects. They have great prices on those unique items that you didn’t know existed.
