Chino Montessori School

My niece and nephew have been attending this school for almost a year now and I have no complaints. I have developed a great rapport with the staff here, and they continue to check my ID every time I stop to make a visit. They follow protocol across the board at this facility and the establishment is clean. My niece and nephew are 28 months and can count up to 20, recite The Pledge of Allegiance, as-​well-​as their ABC’s. They know all of their shapes and colors and speak complete sentences. If you want your child to learn from a strong and dedicated team, in education and professionalism, bring them down to Chino Montessori School. The teachers make education fun for toddlers and safety is not a concern.

Our daughter started school in April 2015 in the bumble bee class under the supervision of Ms. Lupe, Ms. Jasmine, and Ms. Tori. They are always communicating, and was on the same page with us. They always send emails and pictures of the children and explain what the kids are learning, that made it easy for us to continue the same at home. As a parent it feels good to know that my daughter makes progress she was potty trained, her speech improved, and loves the staff. The school always has something fun for the kids for example holiday parties, breakfast for parents to honor mother’s day, father’s day, kids fit, puppet shows, St Jude’s trik-​a-​thon, and a visit from a dentist. The staff creates a safe clean learning environment that I’m confident to leave my child in the hands of the staff.

I’m giving them a one star because of miss Gloria & jasmine. The infant room is great. Miss Gloria keeps the infant room so clean and the infants so well taken care of. She is so patient, organized and just on top of her stuff. Jasmine is one of the toddler room teachers that you just know genuinely loves kids and is so patient. Children are just naturally drawn to her and she is very kind but that’s as good as it gets for this daycare. My daughters started at this daycare when they first opened in February 2015 and I took them out November of 2015. When they first opened they advertised part of the tuition included a dance & music time. That a dance teacher would go to the school and have dance with the children and dance. In the months my daughters where there it never happened. In many occasions I asked the director Ibel and she would tell me that it was getting set up for the next month, and the next and the next and it never happened. Also, lunches were supposed to be included in the tuition, paperwork was filled out since February and lunches were never provided. They charge $ 50 a month for potty training but they don’t potty train. When I started the potty training process with my oldest it was a nightmare. I would potty train during the weekend and she would make so much progress but come Monday I would pick her up and she would be in diapers. It was so frustrating having her regress because the teachers didn’t want to take the time to potty train her. When I confronted miss Ibel over it I was told the potty training fee was because she was still in diapers and they had to charge for having to change her diaper. When I decided to take them out I interviewed many daycares and they said that was unheard of. The place is so disorganized and their communication is terrible. Now that I’ve interviewed many daycares I now know this place is NOT a real Montessori. The classes are chaos. There is no structure. Children learn the minimum. Some of the teachers are horrible. Miss Lupe for example is borderline abusive with the toddlers. She tends to yell at them and can sometimes be a bit more rough with handling them than what I would be comfortable with. If you’re child is a little more active than most I would be worried to leave him with her. I remember a little boy who was very active and the way she would treat him really angered me. If you’re looking for a low budget place to drop off your children out of need and you don’t care if they learn or just want basic minimum care, this is the place. If you care about how your children are treated, that they learn and start getting prepared for kindergarten this is not the place. I put my daughters in a different daycare and they are thriving. Both my girls are now potty trained. They have learned so much and my little ones vocabulary has expanded so much. They LOVE going to their new daycare and I hv peace of mind that they’re treated with kindness.

My son has been going here for about six months and we love it. All the ladies are very attentive to the children. My son was very shy at first but now has opened up the girls and really loves them. Miss Jazmin and miss Lupe were his teachers but he recently moved up and into another classroom and I haven’t really met the ladies.

My daughter has been coming here for 2 months now. She used to attend West Covina Montessori Academy since she was an infant. We left WCMA for a while and tried Options big mistake. I was so happy when Ms. Ibel the director told me that they were opening up a school in chino since we live in Ontario and driving to West Covina every morning was a nightmare. My daughter was so excited to come back to the atmosphere she was familiar with. Ms. Ibel is amazing she always does what she can to help out families. They are always having activities for the kids like pony rides, puppet shows. They celebrate every holiday which I love. I was so happy to see some of the teachers that my other kids loved from West Covina now at the chino location that definitely made me feel way more comfortable. There front door can only be opened by a special code which I like so I know some random person cant just walk in.
