If you enjoy buying a used car this is a place for you. All I want to do is upset you to the next more expensive procedure. They refused to give me just a cleaning unless I paid for the more expensive procedures so I just walked out. I’ll find a new dentist

I went here to get my wisdom teeth removed. The surgeon travels to different locations so I can’t say anything about the dentist that work here but the office staff was very friendly. They made sure I new the price and understood the procedure well before the day I had my teeth removed. They even gave me a shopping list of items to have at home after the removal. The surgeon was also really friendly. I also like that they had wifi in the waiting room.

Way to go Chino Smiles. You did it once again. I took my 5 year old son and my one year old daughter on Friday. They enjoyed it and not scared at all. You make my kids love going to the Dentist. Can’t wait for their next visit. Keep up the great work

I needed a new dentist, since mine in Brea had retired and I now work in Ontario (pretty much Chino). I haven’t had a lot of issues with my teeth over the years and am not very anxious about dental appointments. I chose Chino Smiles from the good reviews on the internet and that it was convenient (next to Stater Bros, where I shop). My first visit was today. I will say I heard news that I didn’t like, but I fully trust Dr Lee’s prognosis. I have two crowns, one he said should be replaced after fixing the cavity/​decay under it that he saw. The other is covering a tooth that has an infection underneath and will have to be removed to cure that. My old dentist sometimes suggested things I didn’t understand, but I went along with him, anyway. Dr Lee’s findings were things I could totally agree with — I had noticed that both of the teeth he honed in on — those hadn’t been quite right to me for a while. Shamin was very helpful at the front desk, getting me started with it all; Chelsea was great with all the xrays; Dr Lee is very friendly and informative; Eman was great — she got to deep clean the right side of my mouth and still be cheerful to me about it; and Olivia was wonderful in explaining all the procedures I need and the payments I would have to make — based on my insurance coverage. I’m very happy I chose Chino Smiles as my new dentist office!

Dr. Lee, Lisa, and Chelsea were fantastic today! Eman is the best hygienist in my opinion, she did my cleaning last week. Shamin, Anna M., Anna S. Olivia, and Stephanie are the sweetest girls up at the front! They are efficient but thorough! Highly recommend Chino Smiles Dentistry!

Went in yesterday and couldn’t of been happier with the service. Dr. Thakkar and Chelsea were extremely friendly and efficient. Great experience. Actually made a dental visit fun which is pretty awesome. I definitely recommend Chino Smiles if you are looking for a down to earth staff and has great customer service.

Sorry to say but all the negative reviews here are true. We were hesitate coming here but decided to give them a chance anyway and it was a big mistake. They way over charge everything here. Every time my husband would go they would tell him he needed a crown or root canal. When I went they told me I had gum disease like the other comments on here. My first appointment was almost towards the end of the year last year and they wanted to rush all my appointments before the year ended because I was going to lose out on the insurance money which in reality that was their interest. Once they figured out my insurance didn’t work that way they weren’t rushing my appointments anymore. I began treatment and everything was going ok when at home I lost a filling. I made an appointment to see if my filling could be fixed. As I was waiting in the exam room Olivia walked in she’s the money person there and she said I would need an onlay and that it would cost me $ 1200 out of pocket. I asked her why it just couldn’t be replaced with another filling and she said no that I needed an onlay without the dentist even checking me first. How can that be diagnosed by someone who hasn’t even looked inside my mouth? That did it for me and I never went back. The following day I went to another dentist and they put a white filling on my tooth and charged me $ 100. Chino Smiles is a rip off!

My family are new to the area and found this great place for our dental needs; Wife and two teens. All the beautiful ladies in front and back office along with the Dr Lee really made my girls and I feel at home. My Hygienist Eman and RDA Kayla made me feel very comfortable all on our first visit. Very Clean and Neat atmosphere! Feels like family!

Best dental office in chino by far the whole staff is wonderful ! Olivia, the 2 Anna’s and Shema are so helpful and attentive everytime I walk in for my orthodontic appointment. Dr Heinrich is great and his assistants as well I love coming to my appointments every month I look forward to them. A Chelsea. Lisa, Amanda and Kayla who reminds me of piper are so friendly Chino smiles rocks !!!

This dental office is really professional. Dr. Lee is very personable and professional. He makes you feel very comfortable. Olivia and Chelsea both explained everything very well so I understood everything that I needed and how exactly I could get my care completed. My husband and daughter have been going here for a while and they love it. This office treats you like family. Great job Chino Smiles!

Tried several other dentists before coming here and I must say I wish would have come here sooner! Great staff, none of the «high pressure» sales crap you find at most dentist’s offices, and an overall pleasurable experience. Anyone who is sick of the «typical» bad dentists, try out Chino Smiles! Highly Recommend!

I was very pleased with my visit to Chino Smiles. Dr. Nguyen and his staff were very welcoming and professional. As for my treatment, Dr. Nguyen, Jeremy, and Kayla ensured that my needs were met, and that I felt comfortable throughout each procedure. The billing was explained thoroughly and there were no hidden charges or fees.
I will continue to recommend this dental office to my friends and family!

This place is GREAT! They really take extra time to explain things so you are aware of the treatment. Not one of those rush you in & out cattle drive places. Drove 45 minutes in the rain on a Saturday to go to the dentist. Not something I usually want to do but knew I had to stop putting it off. I did not like the dental office that I normally go to and someone told me to try Chino Smiles.
Loved this place! The staff was friendly and helpful. My wait time was not bad and the waiting room is clean and comfortable. As I waited I saw one of the Doctors (turned out to be Dr. Zak) come out himself to get a patient and also saw the office staff checking on people that were waiting for someone who was getting work done. What dental office does that?!
The dental assistant, Amanda, was amazing! She was chatty, funny and friendly. She put me at ease right away. She set up the tv and made sure I was comfortable the whole time. Amanda was very gentle and caring. Iman came in to clean my teeth and she made sure to explain everything as she did. Dr. Zak did my exam and I felt like he really cared. He explained what I needed done and didn’t try to convince me to have work done that I didn’t need.
I made my next appointment before I left! I will definitely be back and highly recommend you try Chino Smiles!

I’ve been going to this dentist for a couple of years now because it’s a two-​minute drive from my house.
Pros:
They have new technology.
The office is very clean.
The dentists are all quite nice, and most of the RDAs are nice, too.
Cons:
They will try to up-​sell you like nobody’s business. For years they tried to get me a night guard, but I always said no because my insurance didn’t cover it and it was expensive. I got new insurance that did cover it, and literally the moment they found out it was covered the lady at the front desk LITERALLY grabbed my hand as I was about to leave and pulled me back to an empty exam room. They did not ask if I still wanted a night guard, the RDA simply began making a mold of my mouth. When I realized what was happening I asked if my insurance would cover it, and the RDA just said «I don’t know.» It turns out it was covered, but the way that the front desk lady grabbed me and pulled me back to the room has always stuck with me.
Also, they don’t do that great of work. One of my crowns randomly fell off while I was eating a bag of chips. In the lengthy process to get it fixed, I had two temporary covers for my crown put on, and both fell off within an hour of me leaving the office. It was pretty ridiculous.
And the BIGGEST con of all: the ladies at the front desk tend to be very rude, especially the really overweight one with the blue-​black hair. I come in and nobody says hello, they just look at me. And once, the lady with the blue-​black hair simply filled out an appointment card for my next appointment and handed to me, then went on to help the next person. No «see you next time,» no «have a nice day.» It was so rude.
Overall, I don’t mind going to this dentist because it’s so close to my house and it’s pretty nice-​looking and clean, but you have to be wary of how they have you spending your money.

awesome !!! from the second I walked in the door, I do not even know where to begin 1^st of all this is my first time writing a review on anyone, but I had to let people know about this experience the absolute most caring, friendly, professional, staff every single one of them but Dr. Zak actually cares about you go figure. Very sympathetic,
comforting and understanding and will try to work with any budget to get the work needed completed as far as I’m concerned if there were more people, dr’s, employees, like this this the world would be a much better place if you want to be treated like a human being (and not just a number) this is the place to go.

I don’t like dentists, but I love coming to this dentist. I really like my dental assistant person. Amanda Shibly or something like that. She is super sweet and always makes me laugh when I go in there. I like that I can be funny with her. She always makes me feel comfortable in the dentist when I don’t feel comfortable.
For the dentist himself, Dr. Zak is super cool and really sweet. He really is gentle and truly cares about your oral health. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Dr. Zak. He also makes me laugh. He is very thorough in explaining what you need to get done and how he will get it done. And if you don’t like pain, can give you choices. Mine was «There might be some sensitivity for 30 seconds per tooth, do you want me to numb you, or can you get through the sensitivity for 30 seconds per tooth?» It was only two teeth and I didn’t want to be numb for four hours so I toughed it out. He was so proud of me. :) Ask for Dr Zak!
The hygienist is really friendly as well.

Unilocal! REEEEEALLY needs to fix their Review Filter, because I was shocked how many good reviews were being filtered out while the bad reviews remained. I was also shocked how low of a score Chino Smiles has, because it’s one of the best dental offices I have been in!
I have been coming here for almost 3 years now. No matter what doc I have had, everyone is REALLY kind. As another reviewer mentioned, Dr. Zak is phenomenal. «Gentle» is the perfect word to describe him. The front desk and billing have always been very clear about all procedures AND my options to fix my dental issues (which I sheepishly admit, were many).
What I also love is that Chino Smiles has and continues to use the top of the line technology for everything. Does it cost a bit more? Well, yes, a little bit. But at least they are able to clearly see what is going on with my teeth, instead of leaving it up to old technology, which could cause costly mistakes down the road. Believe me, people. It’s happened to me with another dental office (mistakes made because of old technology). You do NOT want that experience to haunt you.
In the beginning, I did have a small issue with the amount of wait time I had between checking in and actually being seen. However, on my last appointment, I brought that concern up to the front desk (it’s only fair to let them know) and they immediately corrected that situation. So, they do take feedback into consideration.
Overall, I am very pleased with Chino Smiles, and I do plan to continue coming here. Finding a dentist is daunting enough as it is. I doubt you will be disappointed if you choose this great place as your dental provider.
