So dissapointing… I can say that its worse than military boot camp food. Very bland. I didn’t feel like it was a clean place either.

This place isn’t the cleanest. The stacks of plates were most likely just rinsed off, I got one plate where a piece of food was still stuck on the side of the plate, I eventually put it back. My husband got a fork and a knife with splattered food on it. This was gross. Now the food, well it tasted more like canned food. The chicken breast we got was not well cooked, it was raw in one spot, the fried shrimp were too salty, the mashed potatoes were to dry, the slices of ham was the only thing cooked right. The Spanish rice was not fresh, it looked like it came right off the microwave. Overall hometown buffet is not the same it was 10 years ago, the food is awful.

Been coming here for a long time. Service is still top notch. We had Bailey as our waitress and she was very attentive. Used plates were taken away quickly. Food is what you except from any home town buffet. Love the medium rare roast beef. Another one of my favorite is the grill chicken. I usually grab a couple of them. For dinner it was a little pricey if you come without any promotion or discounts.

The food isn’t that great. It tastes dirty, almost like canned food. The workers aren’t that friendly either. Please get to work on that.

This place serves canned food, at least that is pretty much what it felt like. The chicken tasted old, desserts were bland not sweet at all, found spit on the floor, and the restrooms were filled with trash. This place used to be my favorite but it has gone downhill.

First time that I have been at a Hometime Buffet in many years. Tonight the wife and me were out shopping and decided to stop by for dinner. Dinner is $ 12.99 for an adult and $ 2.99 for a drink with unlimited refills. They have an okay carving station with roast beef and baby back ribs. The roast beef is hit and miss with some being really over well done, and others being bloody rare. A full salad bar and dessert bar. The usual mix of starches(mashed potatoes, fries, etc.) boiled vegetables and rolls. They have three kinds of chicken, some fish and shrimp. They also have a taco bar which is not too bad. Place is definite kid friendly to the detriment of adults, and very noisy. Staff is friendly and pretty much on the ball with keeping everything stocked but they did run out of ice cream. But that is kinda expected with little kids getting mountains of ice cream. All in all, if you are looking for quantity over quality this is your place; especially if you have kids. Three stars if you have kids, two stars otherwise.

Oh what happened to Hometown buffet? The food was disgusting. I remember when they used to be the best back in the day. Walked in & once I started serving myself food I noticed the selection was LIMITED, most of trays were empty and the ones with food in them weren’t the tastiest. Their menu is very limited, they don’t have a lot of options and there’s an employee constantly walking around asking you if you want cookies. «no thank you» I had to say for like the 5th time. Their customer service is great which is why I gave them an extra star, all the waitresses are very friendly and nice. But the lack of food and food taste was disappointing. The oranges look like they’ve been sitting out their for days, same with most of the food. I’ll stick to Golden Corral, even if it’s further.

Very good atmosphere, the employees are friendly. Some of the food alone are worth what you pay, and your not limited to just that.

We had not been to HomeTown for quite a while, deciding we liked Souplantation much better. On this particular night, we gave Hometown a try and stopped in to celebrate Fathers’ Day. The posted prices seemed reasonable enough, and so we decided to eat there. When the bill was printed, they charged us $ 3.50 — $ 4.50 more per person than what is posted on the board! ONLYWHENWEQUESTIONEDIT, the attendant nonchalantly replied, «we charge more on holidays.» FRAUD. FALSEADVERTISING. I spoke to the manager and had the sale voided. The man behind us had the same issue, and was squinting to understand why the bill was so high. I guess he is a father, too. Talk about screwing dad on his special day. I explained to the attendants that I realized this directive came from corporate, and they were simply enforcing the rule. We walked out. The next day, we received an ad mailer for a pizza place in Eastvale advertising that dad eats free on Fathers’ Day. Now, that’s the way to run your business. The stuffed shirts at HomeTown corporate should get a clue and follow businesses like Kohl’s, who are successful because they make their profits in volume, not by manipulating the public.

Staff is friendly, but food is not good. Food was cold, rice had no flavor. Wanted to at least go get a salad since everything else wasn’t good & lettuce was brown. Not the first time we’ve came here but will definitely be the last time.

I smoke medical marijuana for my eating disorder, so I walked in there with my family and boyfriend and there was an Asian family talking bad about us calling us druggies right in front of us! The lady at the counter was kind of rude and we told her we were uncomfortable and a little offended by that family, she rolled her eyes and said she can’t do anything about it. My mother flipped out of course and said what we do is none of anyone’s business and them judging us really killed the evening, we just left because of the bad«welcome»

Price good and selection great especially for kids. I think they will go giddy over the self help portions from salad to breads to American, Asian, Mexican selections. Feels like high school cafeteria food taken to a top level. It is definitely doable for an ‘anytime’ place to eat if you are looking for casual and decent. But don’t take anyone here for special occasions, obviously. We like that they have Cinnabon now but i felt it was still dry and too sweet for my taste. I enjoyed the individual pot of pot pie, potato and steak, and bacon macaroni. Eating here mean being at home, almost like cooking at home type of food. So for that I think it deserves the stars.

For a buffet restaurant, HTB is good. Plenty of drink choices-sodas, milk, coffee & teas. The salad bar is big with a large variety of toppings; then they have the Cesar salad, pasta salads(tasty), jello, and ambrosia type salads. The chicken items-baked chicken(very good), fried chicken, chicken fried steak(didn’t care for), fried fish(good-yeah, not a chicken but put it here anyway). Mashed(ok), gravy(ok), Mac & cheese(not the cheesiest), meatloaf, cornbread stuffing(good-my first), corn/green beans(good)/broccoli. The best was the beef station– carved roast beef(excellent), chopped sirloin, sausage(Yum!-again, I know it’s not beef but it was in the station) The dessert bar-the chocolate lava cake was a bit too chocolate for me in the center but the edges were crunchy and delicious. My husband liked the bread pudding. Tons of food food for the price. And the staff were great, caring & the manager walked around keeping tabs on the place the place was clean & it showed it!

This place has good chicken, but Golden Corral is better in everything else. Despite the A-Rating, this place really isn’t going to win any cleanliness awards for the state of their utensils. Just sayin’. One of the forks I nabbed was definitely not clean(some lettuce was stuck to it). Now, I haven’t gone to this place in like a decade and here I am for lunch. They added BBQ Pulled Pork, which I enjoyed. The chicken tastes good here(fried chicken tastes good, grilled chicken is super moist and delicious, and Teriyaki chicken is alight. Pineapples). They also have these cinnamon crisps which taste like churros. Crispy churros. Their chocolate pudding cake was good too. Please please please, do not get the BUILDYOUROWNTACO. It’s seriously like trying to pull a Chipotle in Taco Bell. The beef was super greasy and it just ruined the entire taco experience. Maybe you could build your own taco and use Teriyaki Chicken instead. Mac and Cheese and Mashed Potatoes are not good. The baby carrots are basically inedible. I ate one and spit it out. If they’re winning an award, it’s for the audacity of putting these babies out. If you like chicken or BBQ Pulled Pork, this place may be worth checking out. Just avoid most other hot foods.

I dont know why people rag on this place… Reminds me of a bunch of spoiled rich kids… Yes, this is not a four star steak house… But for the price you get your choice of just about anything you’d want… different meats, potatoes, veggies… salad bar… with so many choices how could you not find something that makes it worth what you paid… The food is good… like I said, maybe not top of the line, but its good… Lighten up people

I’m forced to eat here almost every week or at least every other week because of company lunch. Anyway, this time around the service by one girl was beyond exceptional. Her name was Elizabeth(the prep food girl). She was super nice and accommodating. I asked her for fried chicken leg and she was more than happy to find me chicken legs and even ask the cooks to make more when there was no more. I was very surprised. 10 stars for her! Of course it wasn’t all for me but for my coworkers who is in love with their fried chicken legs. Overall, dinning experience was/is usually always good. But I still think the food is bad and would never come here on my own.

Hadn’t eaten at a Hometown Buffet in a decade but thought it was time to give it a try again. It’s actually not bad. The salad bar is decent(same stuff I get at the souplantation) and the meat loaf is tasty. Don’t eat the pizza. Too soft and doughy. The desserts arent good either. The cheesecake had a metallic taste. Do make yourself some crazy nachos from their taco bar. Tons of fun.

I came here during lunch on a Sunday. It was a happening place and filled with lots of families. It was a little hard to find parking because it was so packed but someone pulled out of a spot a little after I got there. I received a coupon in the mail for $ 7.99 dinner price which you had to buy a drink with. Drinks are around $ 2.50. Without the coupon, I think it would be around $ 11 without drinks. Sunday after 11am is dinner price. Overall, I had a positive experience. The waitresses and cashier were friendly. Some foods were better than others but I found quite a few items I really enjoyed. There was a taco bar, a salad bar, soul food(fried chicken, macaroni, corn bread, etc.), meat, and dessert. My favorites were the taco bar, corn bread, and macaroni. I also liked their carrot cake. There are quite a few options for vegetarians as well, like salad, pasta, macaroni. I think there is something for everyone. They also have drinks(various sodas), coffee, milk, and slushies. I would definitely come here again.
