Lighthouse! Local Search Marketing

I’ve never been phone spammed by a company this hard before, but they somehow found a way to make it worse. When you do finally get to an operator, they will hang up on you, cuss at you, etc. the second you ask them not to call you anymore. Of course they only call more then.
I even had one of their sales reps call me 3 times in a row and hang up.
The owner is Eric Oakley of Costa Mesa, and according to the TCPA, he owes me $ 500 for each of these calls. I’d settle for no more calls. We’ll see which comes first.

Bullshit company. Stay way from them they are just going to hang up on you if ask them questions about there business.

Complete scam! They called me 15 times already. I don’t know how they got my phone number. This is not a legitimate company, it took me all 15 calls to finally get them to tell me their business name «lighthouse Marketing». When I start asking them questions they hang up in my face every time, I asked them to stop calling me and they hang up on me before I finish the sentence.
I DON’T EVEN OWN A BUSINESS!

Believe the negative hype. If you believe their 5^th iteration of what they promise to deliver, you might be happy to give them 1 star. The lesson I learned from this is to never take an unsolicited sales call. Big promises, and a complete failure to deliver. After the «90 Day Guarantee» period, they tried to convince me they had achieved what I was promised. All a bunch of bullshit that changes with each person I spoke to. They used every tactic to keep me on board with them to keep getting fleeced. The site they created was ugly, and brought me 1 Lead, in 3 Months. What a joke.
After being almost $ 500 in with them ($ 199+$ 99+$ 99+$ 99), I was fed up and called my credit card to dispute ALL the charges. I have been credited by Cap1, including for interest charged. It was such a headache, and now I’m done with them.
Steer clear of these guys, and if you didn’t read reviews (like me) and are getting ripped off by them, keep good records, and call your credit card company.

luckily i was able to get my credit card company to refund me and cancel my credit card so i can’t be charged for the next 5 months of the contract.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Oh my goodness, please contact me if you have any questions. Basically if you choose the 100.00 program, you are going to be paying for hosting. Website building is awesome, people who write out content, write very well, but any request to make a change takes a week to finally go through, more than half of my requests go unanswered, and when they do 80% are not what is asked of them. and you can only have up to 18 photos on your website and you have to pay more for more than 18. You can add more to the facebook they make you, but of course the facebook they made for me got deleted cause of lack of login. So obviously they were doing nothing with the facebook. These guys are so close to bare minimum. I am such an idiot for not checking into this site first. And to make things even better, if I want to quit their service, well they own my website name, so all the business cards I have I have to redesign. They tell you that you will be the number one position, of course what they actually mean is that you will be on the number one page, and of course I only ended up at the bottom of the number one page for the least used of the search engines. They are professional yes, but their customer service response time sucks. I have a feeling these guys could make a good company, but they need to really work on their infrastructure. I just dont think robbing people to get the money to reinvest, is the right way to do it, then again, it seems thats what many companies do. DO NOT USE THIS SITE. It sucks.!! Not saying that the last post knows these people directly, but he does live 10 miles from the company. Hmm. Idk. maybe, maybe not. either way, just follow the reviews, its no coincidence that everyone gives it a poor review.

its good, but its very basic and I wouldnt be surprised if they ad lib the basic structure through many of their sites. But I havnt checked. It doesnt matter tho, there are many sites, just go through one who has good reviews.

This company misrepresents them self as Google and then attempts to sell their services. They are not Google.

Sheesh! Quit calling me and telling me — and everyone else — that you are Google. You’re not. I told your rep to stop calling and now I have a «contract» with your information on it.

They are a sales company, they called from our area code and mentioned Google… There just trying to get monthly payments to help with SEO, but they go about it the wrong way…

Don’t hire these guys. They use robo calls to get clients. Opting out only gets you more calls. Someone needs to file a class action against these guys for grand scale harassment. They also misrepresent themselves on the robo call as if they are urgently calling from Google. Total dirt bags.

I have asked this company to stop contacting me 3 times a day for the past three days. They pretend they belong to Google, and they do not. They are calling me before 8am which I believe is against the law. Every time they call, they say they are adding me to the do not contact list. A BBB complaint is next.

These people have called me twice now and I have blocked their calls twice. They are really very pushy and pretend to be Google. It is hard to get ‘em off the phone. I said I was going to look at Unilocal and he said, «Those are out competators badmouthing us.» Caveat emptor. I get the chills when these heavy handed salesmen call and bother me with there stuff.

These people called me yesterday claiming to be a branch of Google marketing and tried to sign me up for advertising promising to get me on the first page of Google or refund my money. Fortunately I did my research and upon checking the BBB found out the are rated «F»! I have found almost nothing but bad things about them on the internet. Thank God I didn’t fall into their scam. I think Google should sue the crap out of them for lying and making false claims that they are affiliated. I’ve asked them to put me on their «Do Not Call List»

This company cold called me about my local business listing. It came from a local number, so I answered. The rep didn’t give me his name, but he identified himself as a Google employee. When I asked, «So you actually work for Google?» He said «Of course! You obviously have no clue what you’re talking about, take care bud.» Then he hung up.
Of course, he actually wasn’t that polite. I left some choice words out.
Anyway, I found out that the call was from Lighthouse, and they have terrible reviews and complaints all over the web (go figure).
How can someone do this for a living?

Unless you are incredibly tenacious and willing to put up with endless sales pitches, don’t sign up for this service. Not only will it generate no business, they will use every bullshit tactic known to man to not allow you to cancel the service. I had to make 5 phone calls over several months to cancel and got every kind of run around. This guys are the reason tech is characterized by frustration and high cost for something that doesn’t work. DON’T DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!

Rip off, I joined with them 4 months ago and I’m not even on the first page of Google as they promised. I’m on the map under some weird key words that nobody would use to find a business like mine. I’ve used Yodle and outrank and they’ve had me on the first page of Google by the end of the first month. I’m not giving local lighthouse another dime. Not looking forward to their calls once this is all said and done. On the bright side of things, they taught me 1 thing, no matter how good the pitch sounds never commit to anything before doing your research. Don’t let anybody pressure you into purchasing anything the same day.

These awful awful human beings do everything they can to convince you that it is imperative you use heir services, falling short of actually guaranteeing a number one spot every single time someone Google’s your business. Do not fall for their high pressure, shady sales pitch. God help you, though, if you asked to be taken off their list. They use a robo dialer that will continue to harass you and then, when you don’t pick up, use various phone numbers from across the country to try and disguise themselves. If you get a number from (201) 243‑3399 or (775) 800‑7901 it is these sinister lot of people.
I have already filed a complaint with the FTC and we’ll see about whether the calls stop. For everyone else, though, I’ll use my own SEO skills to make sure everyone knows about their shell game.

Shady and Sleezy — Beware!
I am getting disturbing calls from this company, They use scare tactics with inaccuracies and lies to get the business owner to pick up the phone.
They make it sound as if they are from Google. They also imply your listing has some problem that needs to be verified.
When I spoke with someone and asked him point blank about their relationship to Google he lied. He said they are contracted by Google but then he backed off (Google doesn’t contract companies to call businesses — this is a lie). When I asked why is it implied I have a problem the person just hand the phone on me
Do not do business with a company that lies to you and uses shady tactics to get in front of you!

Shady, Sleazy, Sales people, scam artists.
What a treat I got today when someone called me claiming to be «directly linked with Google.» Naturally, I gave this person enough rope to hang themselves with. When I asked them questions about the marketing affiliation I was told that Google works with the large businesses themselves, but that this company was actually «the authorized local arm of Google». Further questioning revealed that this person was not even a novice with Google advertising. They were clearly reading from notes.
Shame on you Lighthouse! Your people were not hired knowing this ploy. They had to be taught it from somewhere. The fact that your business is teaching their people to say that they are directly affiliated with Google is shady and an outright lie.
I am the Wizard of Google. I’ve written books on Google Advertising and teach college courses about Google advertising. After a few minutes of in depth questioning, I can say unequivocally that the person who called me was dishonest and trying to scam me.
