Mimosa Nails and Spa

First time here and I loved it. Thank you Gina for o putting the time and effort into my mani and pedi. You did an awesome job. I’ll definitely be coming back from now on and recommending everyone here.

I went in for manicure and the technician that did it was amazing! She was friendly and easy to talk to and I liked that she explained along the way why certain lotions were warm when she applied them. I told her one of my nails had been hurting pre-​pedicure and she was so gentle when it came to that nail, constantly asking if I felt okay. Although I did not get her name I will certainly be back soon!

Great customer service with reasonable price. I have never experienced such a friendly atmosphere for a nail salon. Employees are also very polite and make their customers feel so welcoming.

Finally tried this place out. $ 25 mani/​pedi! That’s hard to beat! $ 20 for pedi & $ 5 for mani. Spa pedi felt amazing, the chair massage is really good! Loved the young lady that did my pedicure. Very clean & detailed. Would definitely go back to see her! The mani on the other hand– loved it until I left & realized spots she missed): I don’t remember her name but she was super sweet & filipina I believe. She has an awesome hand massage but didn’t pay attention to detail on my nails. It looks pretty from afar. But I’m a perfectionist, yikes! Color selection is good btw! Not sure if I’ll be back.

I’ve tried several places locally here in Chino and have never found «that place.» I went in here today for the first time. No one was here but it is a Monday after all. The place is clean, and the gal (Janey?) was very friendly and accommodating. I think it’s a little pricey but she spent a long time on my feet and the massage was nice as well. I asked for water and they gave me an ice cold one. When I finished, she offered me another one which was nice. I will go back again.

Tried this place about 1 week ago and I loved it !!! The staff here is super friendly and nice and make you feel comfortable. I think I found my new nail place :)

Awesome place! Under new management, Julie is so nice & did an amazing job on my Easter nails! Showed Julie a photo of what I wanted, and she did it perfectly! I think I found my nail place.

Went for their Tuesday special of $ 14.99 for a pedicure i believe. it was alright all the colors for the nail polish looked a little thick. Took my mom they did hurt her with a bad cut on one of her toe nails.

Skeptical at first with all the reviews, had a coupon. decided to give them a try. Why not? I am very happy with service. Greeted quickly and no wait; given water, massages chairs were fab. Prices are very reasonable. Under new management, so all the other reviews are from previous management. Come in, check them out. This will be my new salon (: couldn’t be happier.

Worst ever! My friend bought a group on deal, Mani & Pedi for $ 15.what a deal right?! Well we get to this place and there were two ladies getting a pedi and there were a total of 3 employees (2 employees were just sitting down doing nothing) one of the employees greeted us at the front (not very welcoming) and my friend said we had a group on deal. The employee responded with «Did you schedule an appointment» my friend replied «No». Basically, she wasn’t able to take us because she had another appointment (that wasn’t there). Very poor customer service and the whole place was empty, there was only one employee working with 2 other clients. I don’t recommend getting anything done here. Don’t think this place will make it and will probably shut down soon. So save your time!

Holy cow, this place is terrible!
I got a LivingSocial deal for a Mani/​Pedi. The woman who came to open the door for me was rude, didn’t smile at all and was very abrasive. Settled in to get my nails down, the woman who did my nails cut my finger and toes in several places and I was bleeding on several fingers and toes. The tools were not sanitized, and she didn’t even ask me how I want my nails and had a very nasty attitude.
NEVER coming back again! Horrible service!

I would not go back here. If you buy an Amazon Deal/​Living Social they don’t accept it and it takes forever for a refund. It’s only by appointment. The ladies are unkind & the salon is not that nice. You can go across the 71 and go to Elegant Nails. It’s clean and very friendly. Overall I had a bad experience and I will never go back.

They did an amazing job on my Pinterest inspired nails!!! Took them of what I wanted done and the replica I’d it was AMAZING. They did a wonderful job. I will definitely return ;)

Coupon NOT HONORED! I uploaded a picture for your reference… I felt cheated, awkward, & like I was being taken advantage of! FALSE ADVERTISING! It’s a Friday night, it should be packed & I was the only one there for hours.(I came for a mani & ended up doing full set + white tip + designs!!) I cannot comment on quality of the nails until a later date. They look fine.. Also was NOT offered a discount for paying cash! After a few minutes of me standing my ground, she reluctantly gave me a few dollars off & then reminded me of my pedi appointment ?. Ps WON’T be keeping it that appointment…

I went in today and had what I would like to call «the works.»
I needed a new gel manicure, a pedicure and an eyebrow wax. Kristy did all the services on me and she is a complete professional.
The gel manicures at Mimosa are some of the best. They do not lift or crack after a couple days like most. Kristy has a wide assortment of colors and they all look the same when she applies them. She is super quick too, which is nice because some places take forever.
I also got the hot stone pedicure which is one of my favorites. The thing I like the most about Mimosa is how clean she keeps her establishment. She uses a new liner on each pedicure which gives me a little peace of mind.
Kristy also gave me a fantastic eyebrow wax. She really listens and makes you feel completely comfortable.
Be sure to take advantage of the cash deal and Unilocal check in offer. She offers great discounts!

My experience wasn’t as great as I hoped. I went in with a Groupan hoping to find a nail spa that I can go to regularly.
The lady who did my mani pedi was great, but the owner was very rude. She made me wait a long time, when I already had an appointment, she helped everyone else with starting in their manicures, but as I was seated the same lady did my manicure and pedicure, while the owner was offering tea or water to everyone in the spa except for me. She wasn’t busy at times and still didn’t come over and help start my manicure. I didnt get a thank you or have a good day by her even when i paid. I felt very unwelcome so I will NOT be returning to this place.
An earlier review mentioned that they only seem to care about their regular clients! I totally agree!

I have to agree with Vicky O’s review.
On the plus side, I think Mimosa Nails is very clean and the employees are friendly and do a good job. I had just watched an episode of the Dr. Oz show about salon cleanliness a few days before so I was totally watching out. They passed with flying colors — low bubbling on the foot baths (lots of bubbles means gunk from the drain comes back up!!), foot bath liners, fresh implements, etc. Other positives include a large selection of color choices for gels and a pretty decent discount for paying with cash.
I also went in for a gel mani with a Groupon deal and added on a regular pedi. I had gel nails done twice before, but both times were while on vacation in the Philippines and neither place dremeled my nails. I’m not sure if that’s the norm here, but if it is I don’t think I will do gel anymore. I too have a visible nail line (VNL? lol) from the new growth and am anxiously awaiting for the new nail to grow in completely. I also had a couple of bubbles on my nails that I kept picking at and eventually fell off. The negative of the dremel is that my nails are obviously weakened, but the manicure did last a long time with zero chips or lifting. The gel nails I had done before started lifting around the edges within a week.
I don’t know if I’m going to come back. I suppose I could just ask them not to use the dremel which would improve things significantly.

So I went to this place based on the Unilocal reviews and they had a special for the mani/​pedi (if you paid cash). My friend and I arrived and signed in. We were looking at the brochures at the front desk and they had a 20% discount coupon on the back. Cool! We gabbed one each (for our next visit) and sat in the chairs they pointed to.
The employee doing my pedicure asks «Are you Vietnamese?» I replied «No». Then a discussion (in Vietnamese) among all the women working goes on for a couple minutes and one employee takes the brochures (from our hands) and gives us another one… without the 20% discount! Could they have been a little less obvious?!
Yes, I know it’s their job but enough with the up sell… I said no, and politely smiled but do you have to insist 3 more times? The facility was not as clean as I thought it would be (based on earlier reviews). Too many nail salons in Chino Hills who charge the same amount and don’t make you uncomfortable. Don’t think I will be a repeat customer.

Yes, I went there because of their good reviews, but it was let down very much.
There is a reason why guys don’t usually wear nail polish and not supposed to touch nail polish.
I would have loved to get a good experience and write a good review because I got gel manicure done, which usually lasts for about 2 – 3 weeks, so I was stuck with it for a while!
By now, you know that one of the guys at this place did my manicure, and the guy’s name is Michael. He was very sloppy with how he was doing my nail and was in a rush the whole time and there was nobody waiting. I have gotten gel manicure done and a good manicure takes about 40 minutes. He was done doing mine in less than 20 minutes. He didn’t even care to push my cuticles back. He just clipped them and put the nail polish on real quick. I mentioned why he was doing it so fast and he said that he was not. I also mentioned to him that the nail polish was not going on right and not looking good, and he didn’t fix it either.
The bad thing is that this place gel manicure price is a bit higher than the ones around the neighborhood.
There are a lot of good manicure and pedicure places in Diamond Bar and Chino Hills, so word of advice… you might want to choose another place. For any reason if you must go here, make sure you get the main female manicurist and STAY AWAY from the guys.

My sister and I discoverd Mimosa Nails and Spa on groupon. It is a little hidden. It is located in a shopping center where Shimas is, behind the old Krikorian theater.
Kristy, the owner was very helpful and got us in for an appointment quickly. She even took the time to called to let us know that we can come in earlier.
I had a delux mani-​pedi done by Timmy. He was awesome! I cant stop looking at my nails. I love them. I used the shade «Smokin Hot» by Essie. I added a photo.
My sister had a fill done by Kristy. She loved how they came out.
They are also having a grand opening special, 30% off when paying by cash. Not sure how long this will run though??? I will definetly be coming here when i need waxing or my nails done!
