Had an issue with my Asus laptop not booting. It would still hold charge when plugged in but when I clicked the power button I could not hear the computer boot or see anything happening on the screen. It was 3 months out of warranty. I called best buy and for the geek squad to diagnose the problem it would be $ 70. Took my laptop here for the free diagnosis, was called back within 2 hours and told it would $ 90 to fix and they needed my authorization. Authorized and was able to pick up the next day. With the Unilocal discount it came out to $ 76.50 and had my computer back within 24 hours.

Great customer service! They called me back when they said they would and kept me informed on the status if the repairs! They also took the time to explain to me what was wrong with my laptop (bad virus) without making me feel like a dummy (since I’m not too computer savvy.) I also thought their repair prices were very fair. Very happy customer! I would go back.

VM tech is the BEST!!! Virgil and his staff are great to work with… my wife had troubles with her laptop and they did a wonderful job at a very reasonable price. I would highly recommend them if you have any tech needs!

VM Tech was wonderful. Our internet went out the other day and when Verizon rebuilt the connection, it kicked all of our printers offline for reasons I couldn’t understand. I called another place to come out, but their clients weren’t their priorities, so we just kept getting the run around. I decided to call VM Tech to see if they could get someone out here immediately. Charles let me know that unfortunately he couldn’t, but he just wanted to take a quick look at my computer remotely and see if he could see what was going on. 1 hour later, my printers were back online, and I didn’t need to leave or have them come out. They will be doing more work for us at this office, for sure!

VM Tech is amazing! I’ve taken my computers to the Big Box Stores in the past but was always unsatisfied with their expertise and especially the price. I always felt they were trying to sell me extra stuff I didn’t need. Then I found VM Tech from a friend and I will only take my computers to them for now on. The great thing is they did an amazing job on a virus that crashed my computer I haven’t had to take it back! If you are looking for a honest computer repair shop that has great customer service, than this is the place!

VM Tech was the closest place to my house, and the trip was streamlined and pleasant. I met with Matt about a Wi-​Fi issue, and he was able to fix my problem in about 3 minutes. He chose not to charge me for services because «the paperwork is more complicated than the actual service», and it made me feel that their bigger priority was helping people rather than trying to squeeze out some payment. In addition, he also walked me through his process of fixing the issue so that I could try doing it on my own in the future.

Outstanding service. John was very helpful and answered all of my questions. My hard drive was corrupt and the new drive was delayed. But they kept me updated and rushed to get it done on a Friday, so we could have our computer back. Price was good too. Forget the geek squad these guys are way faster and explain things to you at a level I could understand. I’m taking all of my computer repairs to VM Tech!

A little bit of a delay on the company that manufactured the fan i needed replaced but once they recieved it they said it should be ready in about 24 hours. 6 hours later they called and said my laptop was ready and good as new and back in my arms. 6 months later it is still working great which means bargain doesn’t mean lazy work.

Great place! Very quick turn around time and I went to have my computer checked out and they were honest to tell me it wasn’t worth the repair. Instead of charging me a ridiculous amount they were honest and informative and didn’t charge me. Honesty is rare especially in business definitely a great place to go. I will be returning and telling people about this place.

Two months ago I took my MacBook Pro to VM Tech — a more local and more personalized option than an Apple Store. Robert was able to trouble shoot and recommend an initial repair for a minimum charge. When the problem recurred a week later, Robert diagnosed and made the repair for the price of the part only – no labor charge. This would be a five star repair because I have been very pleased with the service. However, I learned that Robert was the only Tech that worked on Macs and this seemed to delay repairs a bit – after all, who wants to be without their laptop for more than a day. Thanks, Robert!

My laptop was having issues starting up and I decided to bring it in to VM Tech based on their reviews. John was the front desk when I arrived and I left my laptop with him for a free diagnosis. As promised he contacted me the next morning and informed me of the bad news that my hard drive was damaged and would have to be replaced. He went over the cost and I although I found the price to be fair, I decided not to repair the laptop as it would only cost me a few hundred more to get a new one. My overall experience with John and VM Tech was very positive. I appreciated his honesty and professionalism. I would definitely consider using them in the future for any PC needs/​issues.

These guys are great! I highly recommend them. I used VM Tech to troubleshoot and correct some critical errors on our server at our business. They were professional, knowledgeable and efficient. Virgil and Charles are truly exceptional and will be our go to team from now on.
We also used them to setup Windows 7 and QuickBooks 2014 to run on two of our Apple iMacs running a virtual network. Robert was the man and got everything running for us. His follow up and customer service was second to none.
Lastly we had them swap out a cracked screen on one of our Mac Book Air laptops. Price was fair and was completed quickly. Jon took the initial phone call and also checked us in when we arrived at their shop. Robert completed the actual work. What I liked was that Jon was professional and to the point. MacBook now looks good as new.
To any business or home user who is looking for a company with dependable and professional service, this place is it.

My computer had issues with its power supply and they had it fixed quickly. Then on another occasion my computer was giving me a weird display issue and they diagnosed it with a bad gfx card and had it replaced quickly as well. Overall my experience with them was great. I’d ask for Charles, he was always friendly and informative. ⁵⁄₅ Would let them build me a custom PC!

I found this place on Unilocal and saw the good reviews. I called them and asked them how much it would cost to fix my macbook air keyboard. They told me 179 which was a good price considering what apple charges and other places. This place is in chino where my gf lives so I figured I would give it to her to bring in. This nightmare was a 4 month process!
I found it funny that they could not work on my macbook until a week later because Robert the tech called me and said they were waiting for some tools to take off the back casing. If they did this repair before wouldn’t they have the tools already? I gave them the benefit of the doubt. After 3 weeks it was finally fixed and my gf picked it up. I asked her to make sure the keyboard keys were working and it was. I received the computer from her a few days later.
I noticed my screen had a funny looking burn on it which obviously was not there before. I am OCD so I would definitely notice that. I uploaded the pictures for you to see yourself. I called VM tech and told them about it. I even sent them the photos. They agreed that when it was brought in it was not there. However they denied doing it. Obviously I was furious at this point.
I gave them the benefit of the doubt that they did not purposely give me the computer back knowing that it was damaged. I did not accuse them of knowing but did want them to fix it. You can be the judge whether or not they knew after you read further. After several back and forths Virgil the owner wanted me to pay for half the repair. He found a LCD screen for 400 and wanted me to pay 200. I was angry at the fact and told him that it was not right for me to have to pay a dime because I did not give them my computer in that condition. All that was broken was the number keys on my keyboard and I ended up with a damaged LCD.
I then told him that I was sorry that this could not be resolved professionally and I was going to write his 1^st bad review. Virgil then told me to take back my computer and use it as is and allow them to find the part for 200 $. If they could they would repair it and if not he would refund me what i paid for the installation of the keyboard. I told him I just wanted my computer to be the same as it was before I brought it to them. He asked me to give him a month. A month passes by and no response so I email him and he says oh yes they found the part and bring it in for repair.
I was surprised but relieved he was able to repair my LCD. After about 2 – 3 weeks Robert who worked on my computer originally could not get the LCD to sit properly and said he needed another part. I am getting impatient at this point. He said he will retry again with the help of his coworker. I demanded either they fix it or get me a replacement. Robert says he will talk to Virgil after he gets back from his honeymoon and asked I give him the weekend to fix it so I did. Monday comes around and Robert emails me and says «Your computer is repaired and Virgil has signed off on the repair and said it is okay for you to pick it up.»
I’m relieved to get this done with. Well I hoped. When I got there Robert handed me my computer and told me to inspect it. First I noticed the bad glue job. I then noticed that there was some kind of halo effect going on on the screen. The hinge on my computer was also melted from them heating up the plastic and glue. I kept my cool and I said this is not acceptable. They were literally going to give me my computer back in this condition. Again I uploaded pictures of the condition they were going to give me back my macbook. After I told him that this is not an acceptable repair Robert says… Hmmm well Virgil said if you aren’t happy he can not replace your computer but he can order the whole LCD assembly with new hinge and it will be a simple fix. It will be a few screws and a 30 min job. Why they didn’t do that in the first place is beyond me. So Robert says please allow a week for it to ship from Brea. So instead of actually fixing it properly he wanted to see if I would take it as is. Again refer to the photos and you will be appalled.
So I take back my computer so at least I can use it for a week. I am so angry looking at my computer falling apart at this point. This started off as a keyboard repair. I finally get the call from Robert the tech saying that the part is in. When I get there I asked him how could he think this was an acceptable repair but of course he stayed quiet. After he replaced the whole assembly I check it out. It looks good. Everything seems to be working. The LCD looks as it did when I first brought it in. I then ask Robert if the owner Virgil is in. He says no and I tell Robert that I wanted Virgil to call me and tell my why I should not write a bad review. I told him I wanted to talk to him. So after a week there is no call and I take it as a sign that there was no possible way he could explain himself. You judge if they are shady or not.

We walked in with our problem CPU, had a free diagnostic. They found nothing but were able to suggest things I should check at my house– now everything works again.
Great service people and just really nice folks to talk with. We’ll be using them as needed from now on !

Great place. Had a CPU overheating on my laptop. They fixed it but my gpu started overheating. They took it back and worked on it till everything was fixed. Now my laptop runs better than before I took it in.

The diagnostic is free … and a number of times I’ve gone in with small problems (though I had no idea at the time the problem was small) and I’m back later to pick it up — in working condition and at no cost! John was great. My laptop is an older Toshiba with Vista. It was arbitrarily shutting down, which was not necessarily due to overheating. They cleaned it out, updated windows and right now I am typing on it to write this post. I can’t complain after getting a $ 60 bill to fix my problem. They were relatively fast. Got it done in two and a half days.

Brought my laptop in for virus removal after hearing about their free diagnostic, which many others don’t do. Left my laptop for 2 days and picked it up running better than ever and only paid $ 75 after mentioning Unilocal for my 15% discount. All the techs were nice and informative and never tried to upsell me for anything. Definitely will be back if I mess my computer up again.
