History

Established in 2000.

Author, L. Frank Baum was born on May 15, 1856 in

Chittenango which is located in upstate New York, just east of Syracuse New York. Even though Frank only lived here a few years, we claim his birth place. A festival called Oz-​stravaganza is held annually the first weekend in June.

Frank wrote THE WIZARD OF OZ and 14 more stories of OZ.

Business Owner

George had always thought his home in Chittenango would be a good spot for a business. When Karen retired from teaching, she and George decided to open an Oz shop. It has been such fun and we have made friends with so many Oz fans that we have never regretted it.
