Ava Fitness Spa is a gym & spa which offers services in the areas of fitness, massage & skin care for women & men. Ava has a women’s only fitness salon equipped with a complete strength circuit as well as treadmills, ellipticals & stationary bikes. Other services offered which are available to both women & men are our exercise classes, Personal Training, TRX Training, therapeutic massage, skin care & tanning. Ava offers a variety of exercise classes including Yoga, PiYo, Zumba, Turbo Kick, Body Blast & Turbo Step. Personal & TRX training have options for Buddy & 3 Person Group training to make them more affordable. Ava’s Therapeutic massage services include Swedish, Deep Tissue, Shiatsu & Reflexology as well as Pre-​natal massage. Skin care services available include facials, waxing, chemical peels & body treatments such as body scrubs. For Tanning we have our «stand up» high pressure tanning booth. Ava’s services are open to non-​members. Ava is also a proud partner of SilverSneakers.

History

Established in 2011.

Ava Fitness Spa opened it’s doors in January of 2011. Initially Ava was a ladies only facility offering a fitness salon equipped with a full strength circuit, treadmills, elipticals and stationary bikes and offering classes in Yoga, Zumba and Turbo Kick. Our spa offered therapeutic massage services. Since our opening we have expanded our services to include personal training, TRX Suspension training, skin care, body treatments and tanning. These services are now open to men, as well as women, and to non-​members.

Meet the Business Owner

Dianne S.

Business Owner

Dianne S. has been a resident of the Madera/​Chowchilla area since 1972 when she came here as a teacher for Madera Unified School District. After 38 years of teaching, she retired in 2010 and started Ava Fitness Spa as her second career in 2011. Ava Fitness Spa is not a franchise, but is the sole concept of Dianne. Dianne obtained her degree and a teaching credential from California State University Stanislaus in Turlock, CA. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Physical Education and a teaching major in History.
