Doggie Days In Paradise

Officially canceled my monthly plan with them today after a month of them making it pretty impossible to get an appointment for my dog. Seems like they’re always too busy. What’s the point of unlimited monthly if all I can ever do is get him in every 3 weeks? When it was sold to my wife and I they said we have priority appointments and that 48 hours was the longest we’d wait for an appointment. Nope. Disappointed with the overall customer service, nobody tried to fix it. First option was for them to cancel my monthly plan. Fine with me. I’ll take my business elsewhere. And I’ll make sure everybody I know (and have referred) know about my latest experience.

I love this place. I use the daycare for my pup as well as the grooming package. He know’s when it’s time to go visit cause he jumps in the truck and literally whimpers all the way there. Once we’re there he’s racing to the door without looking back! I love that I have him on a rolling grooming schedule so I don’t have to remind anyone to bathe him. I pick him up and he’s fresh and ready to go. He has so much fun here that he comes home and sleeps all night chasing friends in his sleep.
The staff is incredibly nice and accommodating. I’m so happy to have found a place this great and so close to home.

Friendly, caring, safe and clean. Our dogs go crazy when we get there and are exhausted when we bring them home. They have never been bitten or come home with problems. We love and trust everyone there.

I still haven’t gone back, but I needed an urgent flea/​tick dip. I called to see if this service was available, it isn’t.

Hit and miss! Staff is not all that great with customer service As others make them seem they are. A little pricey.

Super cute place tucked back in the business park off Fenton. I like that you can groom your own dog as my little lab was a rescue and has issues trusting people. We are still working on her comfort ability with strangers.
They offer a bucket of supplies for the spa wash for only $ 20. I took my dog there last Sunday and it’s Thursday and she’s still soft, clean, and smelling of the mango mist. Love it!
For those people that don’t want to be bothered with washing your own dog they do offer grooming services.

Nice place and the staff is great! Thank you for cleaning up the mess after Simba’s spa bath and for helping me out with the bail clippers… They can be scary sometimes :)

I’ve come here for my dogs teeth to be cleaned and on two occasions have done the self serve dog wash spa package. Everyone is so helpful, especially the manager/​owner (?), I did not get her name. They give you lots of products to choose from and tons of product to work with. I’ve never felt rushed and always feel comfortable asking questions. I love this place and am so happy they are in the neighborhood. Oh yes, it is always clean.

I have been taking my 3 dogs here for about 2 years now and I’m always very pleased. My babies love to get groomed by Dana she is so good with them. They look and smell great after their grooming and they know it! Call a week in advance cause they are popular and book fast!

Update for my earlier review
I have been using Doggie Days in Paradise for 9 months now. I have used the daycare, Splash & Dash, and grooming. I think this place is fabulous! I now live in Ocean Beach, but the drive is worth it to know my Parker is in good hands! I have found all of the staff to be friendly and I feel they truly care about my baby. I read an earlier review about Splash and Dash that said their dogs were wet on pickup. I never had an experience close to this. My puppy takes a long time to dry and I found each bath with Slash and Dash to be much better than I can do at home and Parker would smell, feel, and look great for days. I would recommend Doggie Days in Paradise to everybody, and I often do at dog parks around the county.

I had heard from a friend that there was a place where you could go to groom your own pet in Bonita. No longer there. I made a couple of calls to groomers, but they wanted $ 60. for a bath & brush out! But finally someone told me about Doggie Days in Paradise! IT WAS FABULOUS!!!
Everyone there is so helpful, good thing, because my dog Lady wasn’t being very helpful. She hates the water, but with the professional tub at my belly level, it was comfortable and much easier than at home! They provided everything, shampoo, conditioner, brushes, facial soap, tooth brush, solution for their ears & cotton pads to clean them, nail clippers and I asked for scissors to trip her fur a bit. And then a blow dry and a spray, all products were natural.
Next time though, I think I’ll let them do it! Prices are so fair and I just LOVED the staff!
Now THIS is why I comment on Unilocal, great idea, great customer service and a very satisfied customer!

Update: So, we use to do the splash-​n-​dash with our dogs. It’s a monthly fee and you can drop your pet off for a bath and blow dry. They are done in 2 hours. When we first signed up, the receptionist at the time (who is no longer there) was fabulous with her customer service skills. We were informed that the splash-​n-​dash included a bath, blow dry and nail trim. Everything went down hill once we stopped dealing with her though. After a couple of weeks, we noticed their nails weren’t getting done. I asked about it and was told it was an additional charge of the monthly $ 120 I was paying for our 2 dogs. Ok, fine. But, then we would drop them off and barely even get home before they would call and say they were ready. This is when it started getting bad. We would go get them and they would still be WET. Their ears wouldn’t even be wiped out. Their paws WET. I don’t think any brushing was done. The staff on the weekend shifts don’t have great customer service skills either. Even, at times… a little rude. The week day staff was good in my experience. The cancellation process was smooth though so that’s good.
Also, we had one of our other dogs interviewed for daycare. She is a pit mix. I don’t think they judged her on that aspect. But, they gave her 10 minutes before deciding she was a little too aggressive towards other dogs (their «calmest» dogs too) when they got in her space. Personally, I think more time should have been given to her since this was a new environment. She went to daycare in FL and did just fine. So, we tried her with another daycare Downtown (Furry Tales) and she has done fabulous! They love her and always ask when she is coming back.
We gave this place a try and wished it had worked out for us since it’s so close to home. I hope others have a better experience.

I have a 11 week old toy maltipoo I just got. I’ve never been to a dog groomer before so I didn’t know what to expect. When I walked in, the place smelled like dogs. I expected that being, that its where they wash wet dogs all day. I was scared to bring my puppy in there because I heard horror stories of dog groomers cutting and slicing your dogs. She was a huge fluff ball when I took her in because that’s the way she looked when I bought her. I was greeted at the front door as soon as I walked in by friendly staff members.
I brought my puppy in a dog kennel carrier thingy and they said to leave her in the crate because of her size and how young she is. The staff asked me what I wanted done, gave me exact prices and even showed me pictures online of other dog haircuts to see exactly how I wanted my pups shave to be. I picked out a style I wanted and left her there for 2 hours. I paid $ 58.00 for a complete shave, nail clipping, bath, blow dry, blue berry mask, ear cleaning, and massage. I think the price was great for all that they did being the type of shape she was in. I went back in to pick her up with my friend Jaymie. She is also a certified dog groomer. When we picked up Mila she looked and smelled terrific! Her nails were clipped so well and she had NO nips or snips on her. Her ears were also cleaned and overall she looked like a completely different dog. I was amazed at what you can do to an animals appearance lol. The staff are extremely helpful and very nice. If you don’t understand anything they answer your q’s and talk you through it step by step. They also have an autopay system where you can get unlimited baths including the blueberry facial all month long as many times as you want for $ 39.95. I was amazed at that price so I signed up for it. The staff loved my Mila and took pictures of her to post on their Facebook page. They also offer pet siting and pet training classes. Over all my experience was terrific! I highly recommend this dog groomer hands down! The price is definitely worth it.

Tippy goes here for day care sometimes and employees are all nice :) Well, I had very bad experience with near by groomer (Preen 2 Pristine) but off course Doggie Days in Paradise squeeze my new shelter rescued dog «Sakura» in for wash! I will come here from now on for sure. Good customer service always bring more business :) Thanks Doggie Days in Paradise!

I like this place because it has a good dryer (PETCO Unleashed doesn’t have one at all) since I have a very fluffy Bernese who takes forever to dry (even with a dryer). The people are very friendly. It’s $ 5 – 10 more expensive than PETCO Unleashed but then again you get the dryer.
I don’t think this place provides you with a conditioner or a really good brush though (PETCO Unleashed does), maybe it’s included in the $ 20 Spa Package rather than the regular I got (not sure, you’ll have to ask).
OVERALL: I highly recommend this place over PETCO Unleashed.

Great place to go if your pet needs a bath!
They’ve got a great area to give your pup a wash, and supply you with all the essentials — shampoo, conditioner, facial treatment, nail clippers, brushes, cologne, ear cleaner, a toothbrush, etc. All for $ 20.
Also, every first Wednesday of the month, they have Yappy Hour, which is a fun little get together for adults and their pets. They typically have free appetizers for humans and a biscuit bar for dogs.

This place is hard to find but worth the search.
Pros: great service, great products, friendly staff, and awesome self serve facility for washing your pets.
Con: kinda smells like dog urine, but after all can’t knock em on that because this is a dog boarding and cleaning place so accidents happen.
Overall, I highly recommend this place over petco unleashed.

Wow! Splash and Dash for 39.99 a month. Unlimited dog wash and it’s not do it yourself. Although, they have that option too. I have a Shih Tzu, Gizmo, that is very active. I don’t have time to wash and blow dry every week or two. This membership will be worth it. And the cool pet boutique is a neat touch. They even sell that blueberry facial stuff.

The manager was super friendly, which is awesome because I originally stopped in on a business call, and she was still nice to me! Score one for Doggie Days in paradise. Being an animal lover, I got to talking to the employees and took a look around, and found two things that I think warrent mention.…
1.) They have great prices on merchandise, I picked up a doggie shirt for $ 5.00, and some gourmet cookies (for the dog) for $ 2.00 each, and a small item for another few dollars.
2.) The employees really care about the animals, I got to talking to both the manager and the woman ringing my order up and I can tell they really care about the dog’s in their facility. I could see the play area, and could see an employee watching and interacting with the dogs.. . and I could feel comfortable leaving my little guy with them, and THAT is saying a lot!
This place offers it all. .. .a place to wash your dog yourself, and/​or a place to bring your dog to be washed. They have doggie day care, grooming, and dog training. They even have a cool unlimited bath membership!
In the 15 – 20 minutes I was there, I saw many customers bring their dogs in and picking their dogs up, and every single one of them was happy to leave them and happy to pick them up.. .. .they were all return clients also, which says a good deal about the business
