I love this salon. I’ve be treated by all of the stylist and have always been satisfied. Vanessa is the manager and she is very informative. Try them out. They will treat you well.

Absolutely the WORST customer service I have ever experienced!!! The girl that cut my hair did an OK job but after she was done and was styling it the hair dresser next to us grabbed the gel and comb from her and gave it to me and told me to do it myself. AVOID THIS HELLHOLE AT ALL COSTS!!!

I have always had a good experience when I have gone for myself and for my daughters! Thank you for great customer service!

This review is long overdue! I love this place. The staff is always friendly and courteous. I ALWAYS go to Vanessa. She is fast friendly and professional. I feel like I’ve known her for years. I highly recommend. This store. And if you haven’t try Vanessa!

Walked in at 430 to have an employee inform us that she wouldn’t have time cut our hair.

Very disappointed, the sign on the window says 9.95, so me and my mom came in and I asked for my bangs trimmed and my hair is normally layered. In the end she charged me 29.95, I said it says haircut 9.95, she said oh but you wanted it styled, ummm excuse me I always get my hair cut the same way and it’s always regular price and now you’re telling me getting my bangs cut is a style, she wouldn’t budge but I am going to send in the receipt if they don’t want to honor the price on the window what kind of business is this? I mean I understand if I was getting my hair colored but it’s barely reaching my shoulders, totally unacceptable service.

Worst place ever. It is disgusting. I felt rushed and like I got shafted. I *had* longer hair and showed the hairdresser a picture and told her I wanted a long V cut with NO LENGTH taken off. She totally disregarded what I said, and chopped away. I hate the haircut. I should have known she didn’t have a damn clue what I was talking about and repeated everything three times.
Also, I asked if the cut I wanted was similar to a blowout look? The bitchy hairdresser behind me replied in a smart ass tone «No. It is nothing like a blowout. It is considered a long layered look.» Like it was just a question, damn.
I will never go here again. I will pay more for a better haircut next time!

Very unprofessional place on my visit I was told there was a 30 to 40 minute wait, after not being call for an hour I ask how much longer the wait would be and I was told another 30 mins! When I told the stylist I was quoted a much shorter time she just said sorry my coworker went on break and she didn’t explain how breaks work. I decided to leave, an hour of my time wasted and I didn’t even get the hair cut.

just came in for a walk in. the girl was nice didn’t really know her name and waa talking to me and everything. i dont. know… i. honestly didnt really see anything special. about it here. she did offer more services tho and i like that she lended me a few bobby pins lol. but ill.give it 3 stars for basically just doing their job.

Every visit is superb, I’ve been a client for about 15 years. I can’t find the same service elsewhere. Inexpensive too! My hair is at there utmost importance with all the gal/​guys.

Horrible, horrible!!! They totally ruin my hair giving me a horrible haircut. I will never go back to that place anymore. Where do these people get their license.

Though nice staff, I was pretty disappointed at what constitutes to the $ 12.95 deal– a simple cut, no layers, and no real style… unless you pay $ 19.95, I was told! The atmosphere is a little awkward. The stylists seem inexperienced but I guess that’s why it’s cheap and awkward! Definitely NOT going back– not even for my kids!

I came in for a simple haircut and within 5 minutes I was In a chair. She was fast and cared about what I wanted. The overall experience was good and only cost 12 bucks.

Haircuts are pretty cheap at about $ 12 and they have a lot of specials for haircuts as low as $ 9. The haircuts are pretty average and you really have to explain what you want down to the smallest detail. I can’t remember any of the stylist’s names because they go in and out so often I always see someone new.
For men’s haircuts, unless your a little boy or a middle-​aged man getting a verryyy basic haircut don’t even bother. They don’t know how to do men’s cuts past the most basic. They never can seem to cut my husband’s hair correctly, even when shown a picture.
For hair dyes they also offer pretty good deals starting at $ 50, but they last for about as long as a box dye, so its up to you lol

The first girl I got today didn’t have a clue then they brought a girl named Doris in to fix what the first girl did and she did a great job and quick for 12 bucks so I handed he a 20 and said keep the change I will be coming back to you Doris!

I was told they did walk in’s ONLY. However upon my arrival I was then told there were 3 appointments ahead of me. Only 2 people were working the floor and seem to do more gossiping then actual work. So finally a hour later, the lady doing my hair seem to be in a rush and gave me uneven haircut which took her multiple times to fix. This is NOT the first time I’ve gone there and had problems. But this last time took the cake so I’m done. The manager/​owner there is very unprofessional. He takes no blame in anything. LOOK elsewhere there are places in CV that do charge less and because they are not a corporation, they know their work they do on your hair is walking advertisement so that can’t afford to mess up or be rude.

I recently started taking my six and seven year old boys to get their haircuts rather than do the DIY buzz cut. I first went to the kid salon in Clairmont — nice, but pricey, especially for a basic boy cut. This Fantastic Sam’s is just around the corner from where I live and a heck of a lot cheaper.
I usually start a place off with all five stars, then go from there.
I called ahead of time to see if I could schedule two appointments. The girl on the phone informed me that they only do walk-​ins… but I have scheduled appointments here before — minus one star.
When we got there, there were three stylists working. For a Saturday morning, that seemed kind of low, but it IS Chula Vista. I put down our names and one of the girls said it would be about 20 – 30 minutes, no problem. They had a big basket of megabloks one of my boys enjoyed for about 15 minutes, then they started getting antsy — hence my wanting to SCHEDULE an appointment. The wait ended up being a little over an hour — minus another star.
When we finally got started though, both stylists were very thorough with their work. There were no fly aways or straggler hairs. It was $ 25+tax total for both haircuts. A lot cheaper than a children’s salon, and kind of worth the wait.
