History

Established in 1986.

Heather Adams, DDS has bee practicing family and cosmetic dentistry in Chula Vista for more than 20 years. Her compassionate touch, expertise and talented staff take the fear out of visiting the dentist so you can relax and receive the dental care you need in a calm, reassuring environment. She invites you to see for yourself how a little attention is a lot of prevention when it comes to healthy teeth.

Heather earned her undergraduate degree in biology at UCSD, then went on to earn her Doctorate of Dental Surgery at the University of Southern California.

Dr. Adams is proud of her competent staff of dedicated professionals, some of whom have been with Dr. Adams for more than 20 years. Her hygienists each bring many years of experience to their thorough yet gentle teeth cleanings.

Dr Adams is a great dentist, but very upset with the cancellation fee of $ 65 I called two hours before my appointment and still got hit with a fee very upset I was never told of situation, receptionist told me that the notices posted on the door I never saw it.

In terrible pain was told by another dentist that I needed 2 rout canals. Endodonist told me I didn’t need rout canal. Wasted $ 200.00.
Went to Dr. Adams, turned out I had TMJ, she gave me some exercises to do and within 2 weeks, pain totally gone.
The staff is fabulous and so happy I found doc Adams.

I really do not look forward to dental appointments but my first time with Dr. Adams was so good that I am actually looking forward to seeing her again. What really convinced me to see her was one of her very friendly receptionists, Lani. When I called to make my appointment she notifed me that my insurance changed which I had no idea! She was so nice over the phone, so helpful with my new insurance and just amazing overall. She even e-​mailed me my new patient packet. The technician was great too! I don’t remember her name but she was the friendliest dental assistant I have ever met. Thank you Lani and the lovely ladies at this office! Dr. Adams your awesome!

Dr. Adams is wonderful. I came to her about 3 years ago, with teeth that were literally rotting out of my head. I was on the streets/​abusing substances for a number of years, and my teeth absolutely looked the part. For the last 3 years, Dr. Adams has worked through an extensive treatment plan and I’m now almost done. She’s an artist. Plain and simple. I had many other dentists tell me that I might as well remove what few teeth remained and just get dentures. I’m only 30 — I wasn’t going to go down that path unless I was convinced there was no hope. Luckily, I found Dr. Adams and here I am today with a sparkling new grill that I’m proud to show off now. Yes, it was expensive. Of COURSE it was expensive. But it’s worth every penny, because 1) it was virtually painless and 2) my self-​esteem has gone up by leaps and bounds now that I don’t have a mouth that looks like I chewed on rocks as a child. I’ll never go to another doc as long as I’m in San Diego.
