MAC Cosmetics

All the workers are friendly and sweet. They just need to be less cholla meets Mac and more of an ethnic beauty who enhances her face with MAC. I always find the stuff that sells out in other stores here :)) only thing I wouldn’t do here is allow the girls to touch my face no thanks baby. I’m good.

I just went in to buy two items I had in mind already and was attended right away even though the employee was helping another customer get her makeup done. The employee asked me if there was anything else I needed before being rung up and I asked to see some lipsticks. She juggled helping me and the current customer she had with good manners. She was helpful in confirming which of the two colors I tried suited me best and rung me up. Good experience.

Don’t go here. The ladies that work here are very RUDE. I was color matched for the wrong shade of powder so I went back and they gave me so much attitude. I only come here to pick up things I need when I know exactly what I want since it’s close to where I live. If you come here just browsing or wanting more information on products, you’re better off going to a MAC store at plaza bonita or fashion valley.

The Mac counter at the Otay Ranch town center is a business that is run so non professional, the staff don’t speak when you enter the store they are not helpful at all 3 times I was sold the wrong makeup for my skin I would not ever go there again as much as the products cost you would think that they would be more knowledgable don’t go there ever and also the sales girls makeup all looked BAD.

I’ll never return here. The staff is so unprofessional. If the entire store has the same attitudes of the ladies I encountered, I am not suprised that it’s always empty. I understand that in their industry, it is acceptable to dress in something other than a collared shirt and knee length skirt, but please have some decency. For example, if you are a size 10, do not wear a size 4. Inappropriate– not so much if some of them wore the right size. Disgusting would be a better discriptor. I felt bad for this lady who went there to get her makeup done. Clearly, if she knew anything about make-​up she would not have resorted to having it done by these ‘artists’. The ‘artist’ that helped her was completely rude and talking to this woman like she was stupid. I think I recall the conversation going something like this:
Customer: (In a good mood) I don’t know what I want done because I don’t really wear much make up. But it’s up to you whatever you want to do.
Heffer: It’s up to you.
Customer: Well, I don’t really wear makeup at all so I’m not sure what to ask for.
Heffer: Umm. Yeah It’s up to you. I don’t know.
Customer: I guess, like, smokey eyes?
Heffer: Ok.
Customer: But I don’ really know. What kind of ideas do you have?
Heffer: I don’t know. It’s up to you.
Customer: I trust your opinion. You’re the artist.
Heffer: (Laughs and insulting and annoyed laugh and asks another ‘artist’) What should I do?
Bottom line is this lady needed her makeup done and the pregnant (or maybe just really fat) worker was not interested in helping her. Does she understand that she is in a customer service oriented industry? Does she not think its a compliment that someone would trust her professional opinion. Obviously she wasn’t a professional at all.
I think many of the girls that work here are just rejects from stores that would not hire them. Does MAC have a fat girl quota they have to meet? Just sayin’.
Tasteless of me, I know. But it’s hard to have respect for people who don’t respect their customers, don’t respect their industry, don’t respect their own co-​workers (yes, they were talking rudely about another employee).
