It’s still the best seafood tacos I’ve had in San Diego. Tried the El Primo #1 this time which includes shrimp and Marlin and a whole lot of stuff. Tastes charred with delicious smoky flavor in a thicker grilled corn tortilla… Almost ham like, but not. Salty but Hecka good. El Primo #2 comes with octopus. Grilled fish still good, fried fish still super crispy. I took my friend to El Gordo for his meat tacos, but he was totally diggin the seafood tacos at This place much more. Aguachile Fresca is bomb here too. Love the tacos here. Gem of a spot, and not as well rated, likely because it’s out of the way. Park in residential streets. I still can’t believe they take Amex.

Let me start off by saying that the food is great. That’s why I gave them two stars. The reason why they are missing 3 more stars is because of the service I received months later. At first everything was great. I would come in and order my food, they would keep the tab open and I would close it at the end. The customer service is great and still is until some issues started to happen. I would always pay at the end of all my order and would always get my fish soup. Then I found out they gave birria soup which was great. I would order my first two fish tacos and then I would order my birria soup. The only person taking the orders was a bald young looking guy who doesn’t really smile but does great customer service. Now I had not been there for a month or two because never had the chance to and some things changed. One, the debit/credit card fee went from 50cents to $ 1.00. Personally I believe it is too much to charge in a card specially since it was 50cents for a long time. But it wasn’t a bid deal to me since I order a lot when I go eat. Second, they replaced the guy who use to take my orders with a new girl and the guy cooks now and when she came in, things changed. She told me I was not able to pay at the end anymore, at least as long as she was taking my order. If its because people have been eating and leaving without paying, she could have at least told me the reason so I wouldn’t be upset since I never carry cash. I was not about to order 3 tacos, pay with my card, get charged $ 1, order again and pay again with my card and get charged another $ 1. Third, when I ordered my fish tacos I asked for a birria soup and she said could not do that for the second time unless I ordered a birria taco first. To me it makes no sense because in the end, I’m still ordering from them and paying them, its not like I am asking birria soup one after the other. I even end up getting a birria taco. I have been there many times before this new girl and the people know me or at least recognize me. They know I always pay in the end, order my food with birria soup and clean up after myself which everyone should. In the end the girl did end up charging me at the end and giving me one birria soup that I gave to my fiancé and didn’t bother asking again but only because she spoke to the guy who always attends me. Until these issues get resolved, I will fix the stars. Before I would have given them all 5, the food is always fresh and really good. Definitely carry cash. I hope this helps some of you, I am not the person to argue or complain with a company but this was a good chance to complain about customer service.

The tacos del pescado were the BEST I have had in the USA… my wife and I go thru Ensenada frequently, and have become spoiled by those amazing fish tacos… then I discovered Fili La Carreta… REGRESAMOS!

Sooo good! I saw what the guy ahead of me ordered, and I said«I’ll take one of those». It was amazing, the Especiale tostada– 8 bucks– scallops, octopus and shrimp, lots of avocado, and you get a sample of their broth(free!) with cilantro on top– my husbands tacos were delicious too. I wanted to go back the next day but closed for new years… drooling as I type this. Can’t wait to go back.

We arrived for a pre show dinner. We were greeted by the restaurant manager and escorted to our table. Our waiter went over the menu selections, made some recommendations. The food was delicious, the plating amazing and the service splended.

So… this spot seemed ligit on Unilocal… I decided I should stop by. tacos and all look bomb. my son ordered the ceviche and I ordered the shrimp cocktail and a taco… and it was alright. nothing to get giddy about. the taco didn’t have much pizazz. And the ceviche was ehh… but it’s cool if you’re hella hungry and want something cheap.

This is now my fav Food Truck in the Southbay & I’ve tried them all! The prices are very reasonable probably the best I’ve seen. They sell mariscos but also tacos De Birria & orders of Chicharon. And they take credit card which is a big plus cuz a lot of Food Trucks don’t. There mariscos are very good I got a Tostada De Campechana & it was on point & only $ 5! It was big enough to make 2 big tostadas out of it. There cold cocktails are very good as well & the prices are great! Example there Campechana Cocktail(it’s a mix cocktail with all the seafood in it) a large is only $ 12 when in other places I’ve seen it $ 16! There Birria taco(get the big one) is amazing I was really impress, it was juicy & filling. The best deal here is there fish taco it’s only $ 1& it’s very good & always fresh & don’t forget to ask for you’re free consume. They have a cold cocktail called«VIAGRA», well I’m getting that next time on a late evening so I can go straight home & let my wife also enjoy the cocktail as well if you know what I mean :)))) Yes it might take a bit longer but the cook guy is very friendly & the food is great & the prices are great. The only problem is the lady taking you’re order seems a bit sour & probably needs a hug, she’s not very friendly but the cooks personality makes up for it he’s real nice & hooks up you’re order pretty good. The parking is a little crazy but well worth it & just try to come before 5pm. I will be coming back for sure this place was a big hit for me & my father in law! Big fans of this place we are(in my Yoda voice).

Best sauce, best tacos, and amazing tostadas. Insider tip– order a tostada de Cameron and you end up with 2 or 3 tostadas and a huge container filled with shrimp ceviche and avocado. Way more than if you ordered a dine in tostada. Obviously if you order to go you should take it to go– or else you just look like a dick wasting To go containers.

Driving south on Broadway in Chula Vista this Food truck is on the right. Their grilled fish tacos for $ 2.00 are delish, battered for $ 1. Now that’s fresh! Yum!

This is quite possibly the best fish taco spot among many others in the South Bay San Diego. They serve up some of the most hooked up fish tacos I have ever eaten for only a dollar. They even had FIFA world cup soccer games on a TV outside even though the signal was so cracked out it kept freezing and being total tijuas TV. I need to order some other things from here but I have loyal fish taco customer since they first opened up on the block at their current location. I can remember the days when it was totally empty even on weekends. Now its constantly busy with entire grupos y familias. The consome flavor has usually been on the spot right but sometimes I was not offered one. 5 star regardless since the fish tacos have always been grubbing everytime. Only wish it was allowed to drink some cervezas/pistos aqui.

I like a good food truck and this one definitely hit the spot. Specializing in seafood, which is not to say they do not not make a good beef birria as well, I ordered fish taco a la plancha for $ 2.50 and a battered and fried shrimp taco as well for $ 2.00( ). The fish taco a la plancha was terrific. The fish was very succulent, well seasoned with great flavor, and came with a light brown color provided by the hot griddle( ). Inside the fish was all white and flaky( ). All the greens were fresh and the white sauce was very light and tasty. The corn tortilla was of good quality. The shrimp taco was good, but not as good as the fish. The shrimp was a little over done inside the batter and the batter needed some seasoning( ), but overall, it was still a good shrimp taco. Overall, this food truck provides some very good food with a friendly smile. I like that they have covered tables outside, a portable wash basin, and plenty of hot sauces to choose from.

Can’t beat the fish or shrimp tacos and the tostadas are delicious. Best around. They consistently are forced to stay open after hours to cater to the peoples need. Quality is top notch and the portions are generous. Don’t get cut in line here, people will cut you and the people who run things don’t know with the amount of folks coming through.
