Established in 2013.

Grandmaster Gary Amen and Senior Master Jose Gonzalez are owner-​instructors who excel at teaching, with a combined 84 years experience in martial arts. They are honored to have many highly skilled masters, black belts, and black belt candidates assist with and lead classes. Martial Arts Warriors Academy has a fantastic team focused on helping you achieve your goals.

Gary A.

Business Owner

Dr. Gary Amen, Ph.D., is a Soke Grandmaster (10thdegree black belt) in three systems. He has been in the martial arts for 48 years. He is an owner of the Martial Arts Warriors Academy.

He teaches a variety of styles, stressing the Korean styles of Tang Soo Do and Taekwondo (for hands and legs), and incorporating the Japanese style of Aikido (for self-​defense falls and rolls). He also includes Muay Thai, Jiu Jitsu, Tai Chi, Judo, and Shaolin Goju Ryu.

He was inducted into the World Soke Council in 1996, the Golden Globe Martial Arts Hall of Fame in 1998, the USA Martial Arts Hall of Fame’s Hall of Heroes in 2010 and 2011, and the Masters Hall of Fame in 2011.

He was honored to receive his Ph.D. in 2011 from the University of Asian Martial Arts Study.

He believes the martial arts are the ideal way to develop confidence and get fit for life.
