Great service! I had a smog checked performed. It took 10 minutes and the person was very courteous. $ 33 with the coupon.

I went to this shop earlier today, I had to inform them of one of their guys doing business with them called Thermofluids, was blocking the alley and partially on their property and the alley flipping me off and swearing/​cussing at me after I asked him to not illegally block the alley– the guy refused and I had to find another route to get there. He pretty much was pissed and told me to go another way after I tried to make my way through. They did not seem to care or give a hoot, just kinda shrug it off like it was nothing. Besides that the service was fast and ok (smog check) and price was good too.

COME HERE FOR GETTING YOUR CAR SERVICED. Great & honest people. They do a quick and efficient job with a smile on their face. Their prices are so fair for the quality of service. I would HIGHLY recommend to come in and have them work on your car.

Overall good experience. Called to have a smog check he told us to come over right away. Didn’t quite get us out of there in the time he promised but it was ok mike was very knowledgable and helpful with informing us what needed to be done. Even recommending ways for us to save some money. He initially quoted us $ 49 but since the vehicle didn’t pass he only charged $ 39 and once we get the one issue fixed we can always come back and pay the $ 10 to get our certificate. Which i thought was pretty cool of him. Location is great, easy to find and plenty of parking. Thanks mike!

This is a no frills smog center. First of all, I needed a star certified station. There is no easy way to find one so you just have to call different smog centers. Mike’s price was $ 48 for everything. I thought that was pretty good since my car is a 1998, which seems to be the cutoff for extra fees. Only took about 10 – 15 minutes. I didn’t realize they had a coupon so I plan to use one the next time I need a smog check.

This is the second time I have gotten a smog here ! Super fast, and cheap ! It cost 33dollars with the coupon they have on their pictures ! It only took 20 min and I was on my way back home ! There customer services isn’t the best but they are still polite and to the point ! I would definetly come here a third time !

My mom trusted mike and his crew with her car for years and that’s who lead me to take my mitsubishi in as well. Mike is always friendly and honest with me which I appreciate because it’s easy for men to take advantage of younger girls when it comes to pricing. My experience here is very quick and down to the point. His prices are more than fair. He’s not all about draining your wallet like other places either.

I definitely do NOT recommend this place!
Came here 3 months ago to get my oil, brakes, and rotors changed. Left my car there for two hours. Drove home after the service and noticed my hubcap was MISSING. The person that worked on my car told me he would replace it free of charge. «No problem,» he said.
2 weeks after my service I went back because my brakes were squeaking. Waited for 2 hours when I came back he asked me to wait another 30 minutes. No problem. Just wanted my car to be fixed. However, it seems as if my car was not touched within the first 2 hours that it had been there. Anyway, when he was done he said that my my breaks just needed a little bit of oil. Cool. No big deal. Before I left he said his dad ordered the wrong size for my hubcaps. He said he ordered the correct size and would let me know when they arrive.
It’s been 3 months and I am still missing a hubcap. I’ve done some research and found that hubcaps cost $ 35 dollars. I could have paid for it and I am sure he can afford it. Yet, I still don’t understand why it has not been replaced. I have tried calling and texting him endlessly. I called the shop a multiple times, but they had no idea what I was talking about. I am a bit upset that a part of my car is missing and they could not care any less. (My car has some body damage so maybe he thought I’d just get over it. I dont know). BUT I am extremelyyy upset at the lack of customer service and the negligence of MY property. I mean he did not even have the decency to tell me «I’m sorry. We cannot replace it.» Instead he just continued to avoid and ignore me. I wish there were something else that I could do about it, but it’s just a $ 35 hubcap. I’ll go elsewhere for it and the rest of my car’s service needs.

I took my car to get smogged here a little while ago and although it was cheaper than other places its definitely not the best or recommendable. After signing in I waited about 20 minutes for the smog to be over, used the coupon and paid about $ 35… for the guy to tell me my car wasn’t ready to be smogged. After I drove it a little more I took it to another place in national city and they checked it FIRST to see if it was even ready to smog BEFORE taking any money from me. I ended up paying a little more at this place but had WAY better customer service.
Mike’s isn’t an awful place, the customer service is just lacking. His front desk girl is very nice, but the technicians rush you in and out, and seem to just want your money. They don’t try to get you to come back.
On the bright side, its easy to find and they DO offer coupons.

I took my motorhome to Mike’s for a smog check today. They finished in less than 30 minutes. I ‘ve been taking my cars and RV to get smogged at «Mike’s Auto» for over 12 years. I’ve never had a problem. They are fast and reasonably priced. The Unilocal $ 15 Coupon was an added bonus. They do a great job.

I brought my car here to get it repaired after it failed the smog test at a smog location.. . Now I’m beating my head on a brick wall for it like Mike from Jersey Shore!
They lack costumer service. It’s completely RUDE and an incredible lack of class to talk in another language in front of someone because you think they don’t understand, especially when you’re talking about them… It’s a good thing I can speak 9 different languages ;) #WORD
And they lack quality car service as well. Auto parts are marked up 2−3x market value and If they are charging labor according to time then they must be charging by the second!!!
I ended up taking my car somewhere else where they installed the part that «usually took a few hours to install» in 15 MINUTES. They also told me whoever had worked on my car last had screwed with the spark plug wires or something to get a bad read… Surprise… Not…
Guess it’s a good thing I found me a mechanic man that will never cheat me under the hood ;D … Hopefully not in any other situation, either, lol.

I paid 33 dollars for a smog test. It took MAYBE 40 minutes. Very friendly staff. I did not experience the whole talking behind the back in a different language; very respectful people. I am returning tomorrow with my second vehicle. I will update this review accordingly.
Just got back from taking my second vehicle. Again, great friendly service and very fast. They told me my timing was off, 45 dollars to fix it. I agreed since it was true that my timing was off; I fixed my car months agao when a hose burst. In order to change hose I needed to romve timing belt and I was only able to «eyeball» the timing position. After putting it all together my car was a little more sluggish and less responsive, but that’s all fixed now.
Conclusion: I definitely recommend this place and I will continue going there.

Don’t go here if you care about your car. They broke the break light switch under my dash trying to figure out how to turn on my car. They denied it of course. Did a temp fix with glue. Lasted about 2 days and when I went back telling them to fix it they wanted to charge me for it. I got in argument with «owner I guess» and he told me to F*** off. I told him I’m going to kick his a$$ if he says that again to me and he walked off.

Great price and service! It was $ 48 flat rate before coupon and it took about 30 min including waiting for other people before me. Staff was super nice.

Went here with transmission problem. These guys kept the car all day, then told me $ 2200 for a new trans. Took to V and M auto on 3^rd ave, two miles away got a new one with warranty for $ 1200.
If you don’t speak their language… and it’s not Spanish or English go elsewhere. They definitely talk smack behind your back!!!

I liked the service performed on the spouse’s car the next day I had to bring in my own car. The first car got the smog check/​certification, oil change, and tire rotation. My own car I got the oil change and tire rotation. I guess cause it was seperate days between the two cars I was still able to use the coupons that are posted here on Unilocal,whatever the case great price for great service.
On an extra note…
I especially appreciate the «heads up» I got from Mike’s son regarding my brakes. He mentioned that I would need to change them in possibly 6 months. I asked how much that would cost for my car and he gave me an average price. Knowing this helped me prepare (financially) for the brake job when it came about 5 ½ months later. Thanks to Mike’s Auto Repair, this wasn’t one of those famous UNEXPECTED car costs that busted our wallet. For the great service AND the care regarding future car issues Mike’s gets 5 stars from our family. We will be coming back for oil changes/​tire rotations. Thanks!
