MPC Electronics

My husband and I have visited MPC Electronics several times. We have always been impressed by their willingness to help. They’ve recommended repair options for our laptop, even though it meant they weren’t going to benefit monetarily from the advice. No one has ever pressured us to buy anything. Great store, great employees. We will go back whenever we need to buy electronics.

Very disappointed! I was having issues with the headphone jack on my laptop. It was dislocated and I had to hold in the headphone plug in a certain way or I was not able to hear anything through my headphones. I called them and asked what my options where as I use my headphones with my laptop all the time. They said bring it in, pay $ 50 just so they can open it and inspect the issue. if they can re-​position the jack, they would not charge anything else and if they couldn’t then they would have to replace the whole motherboard. I brought it in, paid $ 50 and didn’t hear back from them for a whole week so I called to follow up. They said the inspected it, closed it up again, and the motherboard needs to be replaced. He said it would be AT LEAST another $ 300 in addition to the $ 50 I already paid. I said that is too much money and I would rather not use the headphones on my laptop. Then he said, well you do have another option, we have a $ 10 USB sound adapter we can sell you and that will take care of your problem. Why didn’t they tell me this in the first place!!! They were willing to take $ 350 from me without telling me about the $ 10 option. They are crooks in my opinion! When I asked them why didn’t they tell me about the USB sound adapter before I paid $ 50 and had to be without my laptop for the whole week, he just said. «Oh because I forgot». They didn’t even offer a partial refund. I will never go back to that place!!!

Great alternative to Fry’s electronics for computer needs. They price match them also. Great friendly service!

Just got back my pc and I am one happy lady. Great customer service and a brand new computer after a horrible virus tried to get me. If you want fast service and reasonable prices here is the place to go.

I have done business here several times. I had them assemble a computer for me. Built to what I needed and wanted. Best most stable computer I have ever owned.
Taken two computers in for service. Both times they got them up and running better. No gimmicks about selling me new parts they fixed the issue and cleaned it up. Good price and quick turn.
You can come in here if you are a real computer geek or complete novice. They will help you at your level. Lots of odd stuff to browse too.

This is an update from my previous review of this local business:
After seven years of spending time and money here, I decided to call it quits.
Here’s why:
The management of this place has gone to a new low. And honestly, this place has NEVER been the cheapest for a B&M store, but many of us came here because we were committed to this small local business that once thrived.
I’m a big supporter of local businesses but not in this fashion, especially over their outrages prices. In my last day here, I spent two hours comparing prices and not one was decently priced… what a shame.

Service is really bad. Sub par inventory.

I go to this place when I need to get cables for electronics, they have all sorts, adapters and everything… they are really cheap and they all work great.
The people I’ve dealt with have been a little unfriendly and aggressive who think they know more than you do. But I don’t care about those idiots, I just want the products.

Remember the phrase about «going the extra mile». Micro PC Outlet is a company I’ve used before they were Micro PC Outlet. I patronized their predecessor store and was so impressed that I’ve stuck with them over the years.
It’ s surprising that there are still businesses that know the meaning, and value, of taking care of their customers without the pervasive «not my fault» nor «deaf ear» attitude (such as the @#$%^&%$# AT&T). Their manager Tom makes sure it stays that way too.
I could tell you many stories but perhaps the most recent is enough. I had a client who is very particular and wanted a high end system. He was willing to pay whatever it cost but wanted it to work properly with no problems. That’s reasonable, right?
He happened to have a couple of hard drives that were new and purchased for an application that never materialized and so they were excess. Since they would be perfectly appropriate for his new, high end machine he asked that they be incorporated. They were.
After delivery to his home. Things did not go well with system freezes and many errors to the event log. While my client wanted his money back, I encouraged him to let Micro PC Outlet diagnose and have the chance to solve the problem. He calmed down and agreed to this.
Their two primary technicians are Marco and Junior. They are both knowledgeable, efficient, reasonable, friendly and easy going. In short … a delight to interact with.
Marco attacked this problem with unflappable enthusiasm and quickly determined that both of the new Western Digital drives from Fry’s were defective. Not only did he take the time to completely reinstall the system, he also swapped out the two defective drives, purchased elsewhere, for new ones. He then returned defective drives to their manufacturer for warranty replacement. This took about three hours overall. No hassle. No money changed hands but a huge amount of very positive PR did.
This level of concern for a client’s issues is practically unheard of in this business. I unhesitatingly recommend Micro PC Outlet for all of your computer, accessories and video needs. Their prices are very good, their attitudes are friendly and their service is impeccable. ’nuff said.

I don’t live in this area anymore, but I still keep in contact with the staff down here. They have some of the best prices on computer software and hardware. Now, I simply order over the phone or their site to have it shipped to me. I visit from time to time when I’m in their neighborhood. Their staff is friendly and helpful, and the price is unbeatable!

Sure it’s a far cry from Newegg’s prices and selection, but when you need something on the double look no further than MPC outlet. They house nearly anything you’ll need for your system from Antec cases to Zalman HSF’s. Up to date pricing is always available in this week’s edition of the Computor Edge (which can be found at
) and they’re always competitively priced to MWave or NewEgg. A far better alternative than the likes of Best Buy or CompUSA that’s for sure.
