Dr. Ravina Prabhu, Cardiologist, Sharp Healthcare
Dr Prabhu is very knowledgeable in the internal workings of the heart. However, he is not knowledgeable about current medications and alternatives. He does not pay attention to the interactions of his medications to other medications. If you try to talk to him about the medicine he prescribed (Amiodarone) and an alternative, he will tell you that there is no substitute or alternative, when in fact there are several. He prescribed Amiadarone when he knew I was taking Carvedilol. This combination has serious interaction problems and should not be taken together. When I mentioned this to Dr. Prabhu, he ignored me (he didn’t know about this. In our last conversation his last words were «You should get another cardiologist…» Not recommended.

I have only met with the doctor once but I was very impressed by his kindness and matter-​of-​fact way of handling my situtaion. His two nurses leave much to be desired in terms of friendliness and customer service, but Dr. Ravindra hmself was a pleasure to speak with.
I had a serious incident with too many energy drinks and ended up in the ER. I was scared to death to visit him and braced myself for bad news. He patiently answered all my questions and invited to come back if I had any other concerns.
Hopefully I won’t have to (fingers crossed) but if I needed a cardiologist, I would pick him. Thank you Dr. Ravindra!
