San Diego Floor Design

BE WARNED… Do not purchase product from San Diego Floor Design! I have purchased multiple times from them in the past (I am a firefighter in San Diego but do flooring as a side job) and never had any issues when they were located off 3800 Main St (Main St and Hilltop). Patti helped me multiple times and offered very competitive prices and is the reason I continued to do business with them. Recently (a few months ago) they moved to 2540 Main St (west chula vista) and Patti no longer works there. I called to get a quote on a set of shutters and was quoted 75% higher than a set I ordered approx 4 – 5 months earlier (same size). I asked why the huge mark up and they had no excuse. They asked for me to bring them proof of my lower price. I told them that I had multiple correspondence via email with Patti on the San Diego Floor Design email that proves the pricing Patti had given me. They responded by saying they don’t have email access? So I drove down and provided my receipt as proof. I placed a small order ($ 290.27) for one box of flooring and 2x stair noses to complete a job for a customer. I placed that order on 12÷20÷13. I called the first week of Jan to check on my order and no answer. I’ve called multiple times and drove down there multiple times and it is now 01÷29÷14 (6+ weeks later) and no response to my calls, letters, etc. I have not received my product and my client is not too happy with me for leaving their job unfinished for so long.
In addition, a few months ago I received a voicemail from a cell phone number I did not recognize. It was San Diego Floor Design calling from a different number. I still have the voicemail. After these last few weeks of calling their main phone number I remembered I had a vm from a cell phone number. I called that number and a guy answered and I asked if he was San Diego floor design and he quickly said ‘no’ and said nobody called me from that number.
San Diego Floor Design once was a great company to order from but now they are over priced and could care less about their returning customers. I’m not sure what has happened with this company but they have nearly $ 300 of my money and I never received my product!
