Specialties
Silent Voices provides free pregnancy tests — abortion/pregnancy education — support groups — and peer counseling.
History
Established in 1984.
We started providing free pregnancy test in 1984 — and have added services every time a new need is recognized. Our first office was in North Park — then we moved to Clairemont — and we’ve been in Chula Vista since 1991. We serve women from all over San Diego County — and we even have offices in Zambia and Russia!
Meet the Manager
Sharon P.
Manager
Sharon has served as the Director since Silent Voices opened its doors in 1984. Sharon loves working with women — helping them sort out their circumstances — showing them ways to overcome obstacles and fears — and helping them make good choices for their future. While Sharon is not a professional therapist, she has years of experience as a peer counselor, and continues to take classes on topics ranging from depression — domestic violence — drug/alcohol abuse — PTSD — and women’s issues. Sharon has also been instrumental in equipping other centers in the US, as well as in Russia, Romania, Israel, India and Zambia. Sharon loves gardening, and is also an avid animal lover — with a «specialty» in cats! She has served on multiple Boards, including the Le Mans HOA and the San Diego Geranium Society.
