Parking at the courthouse was terrible they have like 6 handicap spots total for the courthouse which were all full making a person like me to walk from the farthest parking lot, its a state building there should be more than 6 handicapped parking spots at a courthouse somebody seriously need to take care of the problem

Only good thing about this is I am not a Defendant, met some chick coz we were checking out the art and the hot European Attorney and I recognized each other but from where? This court has better parking then down town

I seriously hate this place. The ladies at the family law on the 3^rd floor are lazy and rude. The line isn’t even long at times and they are just sitting there purposely wasting everybody’s time. They act like we know what we’re doing and provide very little guidance if you ask for help do do anything.

Lines and more lines to get in line. But yes… I’m doing it. This us the last set to file until court on 9 – 11.
Why on that day? Feels tragic.

I’ve only ever been here while running errands; getting copies (50¢ per page!) from files, mostly.
I’ve never had any problems with the staff, including the deputies. Everyone’s always been friendly, helpful, professional.
Story time:
I think I saw Sonny from P.O.D. here once. I was waiting around on the third floor, when I turned and saw this guy in dreads and covered in tattoos. If it was Sonny, he must’ve known that I recognized him, ’cause he smiled. If it wasn’t him, then he saw a really good look-​alike in the South Bay. Well, had, since he got rid of his dreads a few years ago.

Two words: Jury duty.
Parking kinda sucks, so aim for street parking. It’s easier to get in and out of the location that way. The line to actually get into the court house is pretty long. Sorta like Disneyland. Okay. Not really. It is not the happiest place on earth. Be expected to get searched, so leave all your weapons, at home. And, please dress appropriately. Ladies, you don’t want to be mistaken for a defendant facing prostitution charges.
You wait in either the lounge or the cafeteria, where you hope they don’t call your badge number. And, wait some more, possibly sharing a table with a random stranger or two because there aren’t enough seats in either room. Download a book or movie onto your phone, to keep yourself occupied.
If you’re lucky, you’ll get dismissed before lunch. If you’re not, use your Unilocal app on your smartphone to look up a number of places within walking distance to eat. Me, personally, I’d drive over to Tacos El Gordo for food or swing by Mexico Lindo for a tres leches cake.
Last year, I had to come in for a second day, but was dismissed by lunch. This year, I just had to call in every night to make sure I’m not summoned. Suffice it to say, if you don’t get called by Wednesday, there’s a high chance you’ll be dismissed for the remainder of the week. But, don’t take that as fact. Just call in every night, until you hear that you are dismissed.
If you’re a south bay resident, the location is convenient. You don’t have to worry about jumping on a packed trolley or paying for parking like you would if you went to the downtown court house.
Oh, and if you need proof of jury service for work, don’t forget to punch in and out with the time card clock. Cuz that’s kinda important when you need proof to get paid.
