The Vista Palms Car Wash & Professional Detail Center is one of the longest running car washes in Southern California. Having opened its doors in 1958 we have washed and detailed detail over 5,000,000 vehicles. Over the years we have been recognized as the industry leader by various publications and consumer surveys. I wish I could give this location NO stars. There car wash broke the mirror off my 2015 Nissan. My car has no scratches, no dints. I didnt do a walk around the moment I pulled off and checked my mirrors I saw my passager mirror cover was literally missing. I drove back for the guy to tell me oh we wash a thousand cars a day. Mind you I had pulled off about 5 mins before I turned around and went back. It was 930 am. I watched this same guy check my car in check my mirrors and give me the reciept to go pay. I told him go find my mirror piece he brings it back and tells me that could of happened any where. We was thosands of cars. The guy is ridiculous and barely speaks english. I will never go to this place again

I have finally found my car wash to go to, and I couldn’t be any happier! First let me start off by saying no matter where you go, you’ll never be completely happy with every car wash ever, Unless you wash your car yourself! Now with that being said on with my review.
The prices are pretty fair compared to the many car washes I have been to. I’m very picky about who works on my car, let alone who washes it. As you wait for your car to be dried off, I realized that this is probably the only spot I have seen where they have built in compressors underneath the ground, and they blow off all the water off your car! I’m talking about door jams, trunk, hood, and anywhere else water might be hiding, or you see fly out as you drive off like 2 fast 2 furious trying to air dry your car yourself. Don’t lie folks, we all have done it when we see our car isn’t completely dry. On top of all that this is the only place where I have seen them clean my rims, or put enough time trying to clean them as best that they can, and for that I give a flat five stars!

We have been getting our cars washed here for 6 years and we love it. My wife gets her car washed thru the car wash tunnel and always gets the value wash which compared to other places is a really good deal because she gets the car washed with waxes, air freshener and tire dressing for about 14 bucks and every once in a while she gets a free wash. They always do a really good job! The fact that they use an air hose to go thru the gaps of the car puts vista palms over the top! I always opt for the hand wash in my Bmw which is black and is a pain to keep clean but these guys do an awesome job and are definitely the absolute best in town!!!

Attention to detail does not exist year they’ve really gone down hill in the past year. They just rush through with your car, and leave all the details, its Extremely disappointing. I wouldn’t recommend this place to my worst enemy. Save your money and don’t waste your time here.

I will never come here again. Came in for detailing of the Kia Optima. An hour later my car is still sitting in the stall and no one has touched it. There has to be water spots on the car at this point for sure. What the?! I have to get back to work! My other car wash in Spring Valley would have me in and out in ½ in hour. This is ridiculous! Won’t EVER come back to this place.
If they had any sense they would put 3 guys on a car for detailing. It would get done quicker and they would earn more. 1 hour and 5 mins in and they are just starting my car. I’m very angry right now.

I usually opt for a drive thru car wash and self vacuum because there is a $ 3 car wash by my house… I decided to try this place out on my lunch break since it is near my job… I was very surprised at the end result of my car… The guys washing your car are very detailed and hard working! I will definitely be coming back because my car looked beautiful! The prices are reasonable. The only reason I give four stars is because even though I went on a Wednesday around 1pm I had to wait 30 minutes before my car was ready… Very crowded! But the wifi was a plus!

I don’t understand why there wasn’t any effort put into cleaning the interior of my car. I am seriously disappointed. I can’t believe how careless of a job they did. Will NEVER go here again and I DO not recommend it. I had to clean it all over again when I got home.

I go to no other car wash establishment than vista palms. Excellent customer service and you get every pennies worth you pay for. I always get the VIP hand wash and seriously I feel like my car is both brand new both in the interior and exterior. 5 stars. Great job guys!

It’s an allright place. Usually misses a water spot but my last experience was okay. They leave the car okay no. complaints but i wish i. wasn’t charged an extra dollar because i have a «big car» i was expecting a scented cleaning too but. nope!! in order to get that service you have to pay i believe $ 15.nahh… ill continue going to the one in front of the chase bank better service, better prices & better. results

I’ve been coming here for the last 2 years. I live no where near Chula Vista and I have gone out of my way just to get my car washed. What sets this place apart? They do a darn good job on the hand washes. My son likes this place because of the candy and ice cream selection.

Vista Palms over charges and under delivers. My truck left with two deep scratches on the hood and the situation was handled poorly by management and I use that title loosely. Management seems to work part time and is more salesman than responsible and upstanding party interested in righting wrongs for which they are undeniably culpable. I could go on for pages regarding my horrible experience and undelivered promises but since my last review was met with insinuated threats of legal action I will spare the details and simply summarize. Management believes their equipment is incapable of damaging a vehicle, state privacy laws that do not exist and are self-​insured so the fight to be made whole is long, frustrating and most likely futile. On a positive note, I couldn’t be happier with my new car wash but I don’t know if that’s saying much since Vista Palms set the bar so low.

Worst customer service, poor car wash, and unqualified managers and supervisors. After my car was returned to me as if a child washed it, I noticed scratches on the windshield of my newly leased vehicle (scratch-​free). I attempted to solve the problem and come to a solution with the manager (which didn’t happen). I was told that they are not responsible for any damages. I asked for my receipt back and they said they couldn’t give it to me. They told me to get off the property or else they would call the police.
I’m writing this review so that you’re aware and avoid unnecessary $ 500 dll expenses and also to make the car wash owners aware and hopefully have them improve their customer service and acutually do their job well, delivering clean cars without new damages.
And incase one of the carwash managers was actually the owner, I advise you to close this place and save customers money because you are not apt of managing a simple carwash.

$ 200 for a hot wax and clay scrub for scratch removal plus interior wash.
I had around 5 – 6 minor scratches all around and 80−90% disappearance for them. Given the fact that my car’s paint job was lackluster, it was in dire need of a good detail. The uneven swirls, evidence of a rushed budget paint job, were transformed into sleek, smooth, shimmering panels that emulated the looks of a show car.
Service was delivered with good communication.
Boyfriend also recommends their car wash!

Update: Although it was six months after the review was posted, a few weeks ago I received a Unilocal message from David, the manager at Vista Palms, asking if he could make my past experience right. My ex-​husband wrote the previous review about his bad experience at Vista Palms, but I needed a car wash, so I agreed to give them a second chance.
David followed up twice to ensure I was coming down for a free wash and when I got there, he treated us like VIPs. He kept me in the loop of what was being done, upgraded the service for free and personally checked on us several times as we waited.
My car has never been cleaner, and the level of service and professionalism were absolutely perfect on this visit. They took their time with the hand wash and really did detail the inside of the car with care, removing stains from the leather seats and every.single.crumb. left behind from my four-​year old’s snacks.
There were dozens of other customers waiting for their cars and everyone seemed satisfied with the place, so I am starting to think my ex-husband’s past experience may have just been a bad day at Vista Palms. I will DEFINITELY be back.
Thank you, David, for making sure we left happy this time. I am always willing to give places a second chance, and you absolutely earned five stars this time.

$ 30 for a hand wash and quick detail is not bad. I would’ve given 5 stars if the detailer wiped down the giant smudge on the interior driver side door. It took 45 minutes which is about right but get there early (arrived at 9 am) because when I left it was getting full.

The staff doing the work, i.e. Are efficient and very polite. The staff cashiering are not personable or polite. More like robots. I came here on a whim and I may or may not come back depending on how badly I need a car wash

WORST CAR WASH EVER!!! I have tire pressure monitors on my tire valves and the guy who drove my small Honda Fit onto the conveyor belt put it so close to the left hand rail that both wore broken off, taking out the valve stems so that by the time the car was out of the machine both driver side tires were completely flat.
I was told by the manager that they had no responsibility for this… he told me the signs clearly said they are not responsible for damage to any «after market» additions to the car. Their $ 6.99 car wash is costing me $ 275 in repairs and they refuse to pay it, in spite of the fact that their inept driver put this very narrow car way too close to the rail.
Very bad attitude and very poor customer service. I will never go back and won’t hesitate to recommend everyone AVOID THIS ROTTEN ESTABLISHMENT!
