Place is a joke. It was cold inside the place and the food came out cold. The service was almost not existent and no one ever brought the check I left 20 on the table and walked out after waiting 15 minutes my girlfriend was freezing so had to go. That was during the winter and we decided to give them another chance. This time we sat down no one even acknowledged us for 20 minutes and then said it would be another half hour. We left never to return don’t waste your time.

Would have stopped in and eaten, but there was a sign that the credit card machine was out of order. Lost my business that day

My girlfriend and I frequent diners all over central New York and this is by far the most consistently awful diner we’ve been to(We’ve gone 4 times in hopes for something better) The service is terrible. We’ve had the same waitress ¾ times and she is always rude and seems inconvenienced to even bring our drinks over. This morning it took 25 minutes for her to bring us our food(even after the cooks rang the bell two times for her) and there were no more than 6 other parties in the whole diner. The food is overpriced. I ordered two eggs over easy(which were surprisingly cooked correctly), toast(which was cold) and«homefries» which were literally boiled, unseasosoned, unsalted potatoes with skins on/off. She ordered an egg sandwich with coffee(which pleasantly came in a filthy mug). All this came to a grand total of $ 17. $ 17 for two eggs, toast, an egg sandwich, and homefries. Ridiculous. To top it off, upon waiting 15 minutes after finishing our meals, we finally flagged the waitress down who had been ignoring us for 30, and nervously gave her our card to pay. We then watched her aimlessly wander around the diner chatting with customers, sitting at the expo station, cash another customer out, bring silverwear and menus to another table, put another customers order in, all before she even brought our card back and dropped it off without saying a word. Even giving this diner a single star makes me sick to my stomach. Of over easily 30 diners, this is hands down the worst. I could recommend another diner but it’s simply easier to say that ANY other diner would be an astute choice.

Kim’s Cicero Diner is probably the best diner in central New York! The owners are super nice and the food us stellar! I love the sausage! Make sure you go and check this place out!

Good food terrible service. Sitting at a table near the door had to call the diner to get a refill on my coffee cause waitresses never came to our table after she took our order.

Great food and service. Love the décor; spacious dining area; very neat decorations; lots to look at. Highly recommended for a classic diner experience!

Great breakfast and prices. They need to start taking credit cards to increase business. No one carry cash anymore.

We go to Kim’s frequently. We like it, like where is it situated, and big room, all echo-ey„ its loud, and comfortable, Kitschy, and good. The big table that seats 8,(that someone commented on in another review) I look at like a communal table, we have sat there with other people that we didn’t know, Its breakfast everyone is happy! The food, everything they make is fresh, salads, haddock, pies, home fries, good real food, their sauerbraten according to my hubby is very good. The staff, yep sometimes they are busy and miss that you have arrived and sat down, just wave them over. They have Brooklyn Home Fries, made with potatoes, sausage, peppers and(I think) onions, very good, a nice change from regular home fries. Turkey club is awesome, with in house roasted turkey, I mean really? If you go there and have a problem, ask for the owner, great guy, proud of his restaurant. There aren’t a lot of diners that serve a good breakfast in the northern Onondaga County area, check out Kims

Sometimes a local diner is charming and serves up local favorites. Sometimes, as was the case with Kim’s Cicero Diner, it’s an absolute train wreck. When we sat ourselves we waited longer than expected for anyone to acknowledge us. Not long enough to consider walking out, but long enough to begin looking around to see if anyone noticed us at all. I was hoping for the sort of quirky diner waitress you expect in a place like this. Instead our waitress was an aging blonde in glasses and a white shirt that was shear enough that you see her bra straps slouching off her shoulder. Gross. You’re serving food. A modicum of decency would be nice. Also, she was humorless and seemed like we were putting her out anytime we asked for something. The food was passable and edible at best but far from the type of magic you’d hope for in a small town diner. There’s really nothing more to be said here. Lastly, no credit card acceptance? I don’t care how small or «local» you are, not accepting credit cards is ridiculous. Oh, you can’t afford a less than 2% per swipe fee? Then charge a little more. When your obviously aging clientele who doesn’t mind the policy dies off you’re going to face a reality where middle aged and young people use credit cards. Overall, mediocre at best foods, stone face servers in ill-fitting cloths and the inability to pay with the most common form of payment in the world. Avoid Kim’s Cicero Diner and go to Denny’s down the street.

Ate here a while ago and was quite unimpressed. Even when comparing it to other diners in the area(like Julie’s, for example) the quality of the food and décor was not up to par. Also, this seems like a silly thing to get upset about, but my girlfriend ordered a hot chocolate and the waitress brought her a mug of hot water and a Swiss Miss packet. That’s what the whole experience felt like, though — as if it had been taken from a box and not homemade. The service was fine, but I just can’t recommend this place.

I went to Kim’s several weeks ago late on a Sunday morning. I hate mornings. Kim’s isn’t on my way to or from any particular point so, I made a special trip to enjoy a late breakfast. It is situated in a strip mall so, don’t expect a traditional aluminum clad diner with mini juke boxes at each booth. You walk in and seat yourself in a large open room with booths along each side wall and tables in the middle. A table for 8 was the only one available as Kim’s was packed. I sat down feeling kind of guilty being only one person and using a table for 8. A waitress soon came by with a menu, a nice greeting and coffee at the ready! While I read the menu and filled up on coffee, I decided upon a basic cheese omelette with a side of sausage. Once my order was placed and my coffee cup refilled, it wasn’t long until my breakfast appeared. A very clean, fresh, fluffy omelet topped with a piece of melted white American cheese was presented with marble rye toast, home fries and my side dish of 4 sausage links. Time to dig in ! Omelet was properly cooked and hot with melted cheese inside and on top. If I want American cheese, I prefer the yellow but, I didn’t ask what kind of cheese was available when ordering. Next, the buttered marble rye toast was fresh, chewy and had firm tasty crusts. Hash browns were made to order. They weren’t simply prepared at 5AM and reheated many hours later. While I appreciate the freshness and quality of the potatoes, I prefer mine with a bit more crispness and that the onions would be cut smaller and be cooked longer. Next, the generous serving of sausage: 4 breakfast sausage links were hot, perfectly cooked, meaty, not full of unknown mystery junk, and wonderfully complimented the whole breakfast. I had a very good experience and enjoyed the overall friendly nature of the staff and the people. I will just have to drive up this way more often !!!

Food was okay. Prices weren’t bad but it’s very loud and they don’t take credit cards.
